About this property
Quiet Retreat with private courtyard In Grand Lake Village!
Must see! This adorable, renovated 1940s 2-bedroom cabin is located within walking distance of downtown, Grand Lake, and RMNP.
This 1940's cabin is loaded with historic character and located on a peaceful, large lot within Grand Lake village. "Adorable and cozy" are terms used to describe this authentic village cabin. This charming cabin has a queen-size bed and a sink vanity in one bedroom, a separate nice bathroom with shower, washer/dryer, and twin beds and a TV/VCR in the second bedroom, separate living and kitchen areas, bath, and gas fireplace. Microwave and dishwasher available. Grill, sitting area, and firepit located outside. Dog run available at back of property so your furry friends can enjoy the outside weather while you hike in the Park. Use the coffee-maker in the morning, or wander downtown to one of the local lake-side coffee shops. Perhaps just lounge in the outside seating area and watch for wildlife to wander through the area. **(Please note that the mountains are a host to MANY types of wildlife. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, unwanted wildlife such as chipmunks or mice can sometimes find their way into mountain cabins. If you are uncomfortable with this possibility, this vacation choice may not be the best for you.) This cabin's charm, quiet environment, and walking-distance proximity to town, the lake, and the Rocky Mountain National Park trailheads make it an easy choice for a vacation stay.
This cabin is held to a higher safety standard than cabins located outside the village. It is inspected annually by the Grand Lake fire department.
Do you have family/friends who are also planning to vacation? We have other charming cabins located nearby! (listings 611187, 674069, and 1155015)

About the host
Hosted by Rebekah Wilson

We (Dan and Rebekah) were raised in the Kansas flatlands, but we each vacationed in Colorado while growing up. We finally made the leap to the high country 6 years ago, and we have taken full advantage of this giant playground ever since our move.
Dan and Rebekah currently live in Windsor, located in northeast Colorado. Dan works in the medical field, and Rebekah retired from employment with this health system two years ago. She currently enjoys her work with a number of civic organizations, as
well as master gardening, welding, and other hobbies.
Dan and Rebekah enjoy every aspect of this wonderful Colorado environment. They are avid fly-fishermen, hunters, hikers, and general outdoorsmen.
The couple enjoys a sizable amount of time in the mountains. Dan completed his due-diligence in investigating options for a mountain home. We wanted a location that would appeal to all ages, all year round, and we wanted activities that involved mountains, water, wildlife, and a community atmosphere. After looking at dozens of options, we found that Grand Lake met all of our needs.

Why they chose this property
We spend a sizable amount of time in the mountains. Dan completed his due-diligence in investigating options for a mountain home. We wanted a location that would appeal to all ages, all year round, and we wanted activities that involved mountains, water, wildlife, and a community. We have several children, and this location and property provides a central location for family members to walk or ride bikes to nearly every amenity within Grand Lake.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with this cabin because it combines aspects of its original 1940's appeal with more modern updates such as french doors, dishwasher, washer/dryer, unique ironworks, and a large landscaped yard. It is nestled in a peaceful neighborhood - and it is within walking distance of downtown, Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park.
