"Il nido al Colosseo" is a charming flat located in a nineteen hundred mansion, in the heart of Rome.
Equipped with all modern comforts, easily reached from Rome Airports and Railway Stations, it is at walking distance to the metro, public transports and other facilities, making it an excellent starting point to visit Rome’s unique masterpieces of art and history
Perfect for families, romantic getaways or friends, it represents a perfect solution to make your stay in the Eternal City pleasant and relaxed.

The flat consists of a large living/dining area with a fully fitted kitchen, two bedrooms (one double and one single – the latter with the possibility to add an extra bed to suit the need for a twin or a second double) and a bathroom with shower.
It is equipped with independent heating, washing machine, TV, fridge, oven, kettle and hair drier
To make your stay more enjoyable I have personally selected a range of information and useful addresses.
On your arrival you will be given useful tips, divided by touristic area, regarding: typical “trattorie”, restaurants, pizzerias, bars, ice cream shops, wine bar, etc., that, by our experience, can help in making your stay unforgettable.

From 2019, in the living room was installed a 12.000 BTU A/C device able to cool the whole apartment. In addition, in summer, you'll find electric an in every bedroom.

At your arrival you will find a food welcome kit (pasta, tomato sauce, oil, salt, sugar, coffee, tea, biscuits), so you will have time to organize yourself in the best way, in one of the close supermarkets. Also available in the hygienic products and detergents, as well as a kit for first aid.

You will be welcomed personally by me and I will provide all the necessary information even on public transport, the attractions of the neighborhood, the advice for pleasant walks in the city center. This way you can give your holiday a very customized impression and experience Rome

The apartment is 5 min walking from the metro station "Colosseo" (Line B) and a short walk from the bus stops that allow you to easily and quickly reach the main attractions and the most famous shopping areas.
The area is safe and is characterized by the presence of numerous green areas ideal for jogging and with playground. Among them: Villa Celimontana, Colle Oppio park and Terme di Caracalla area

Strolling around the ancient and suggestive borough Celio, you will be captured by some of the most important monuments and churches of Rome: Coliseum, Forum, S. Clemente, SS. Quattro Coronati or just relaxing in one of the many typical “osteria romanesca” where you will be able to taste the real roman cuisine, pizzerias, wine bars, pubs, ice cream shops.
Your stay will be even more comfortable due to the proximity of: underground, bus, green areas, parking, supermarkets, internet café, car/bike hire, bureau de change, etc

It is available on request, free of charge, a baby cot with linen children.

On request is available a transport service to / from the Fiumicino and Ciampino airports

Great location!! Really easy to navigate all the important locations from the apartment.

Apartment was great. Plenty of space for the 2 of us. Marco provided all the info we needed for our time in Rome. An iron would be great to add. Apart from that everything was fantastic!!

Great location and homely feel

We booked this apartment due to it's location to the Coliseum and it certainly didn't disappoint. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids (11 and 9)) and the apartment certainly was large enough for us, for the time we were in it. We had great communication with Marco prior to arriving and he meet us at the apartment, great for after a long flight. He showed us around the apartment and provided us with some pasta and basic food which was well appreciated. With a supermarket nearby, access to the metro and buses, very short distance to the Coliseum, and a number of restaurants and gelati shops nearby, we cannot recommend it more! Great place for a family stay in Rome!

Perfect location to access history

This property was exactly as listed. Located within a 2 minute walk of the Coliseum. Marco was a very welcome host, efficient and organised with all the literature from supermarket locations, gelato shops and the best cost option was for getting a family of four to the airport. We stayed in several apartments throughout Italy and the we really appreciated the homeliness of this apartment. The apartment is spacious ensuring we all had our own space when needed. Marco supplied the unit with all the basic staple foods to get a family of four through the first 24 hours. This little touch cannot be overlooked as it allowed us time to relax rather than having to source food on arrival. The location is convenient to supermarkets, restaurants, taxis and significantly the coliseum. Marco was a wonderful host, super friendly and full of wonderful information to maximise your stay in Roma.

Amazing Apartment a delight to stay.

What a beautiful apartment, so close to everything you would ever want to see in Rome. The location was great, a very neat and comfortable apartment in a secure building. A massive thank you to Marco who went above and beyond to help us with any help we needed getting around and was always just a phone call away. On our stay we met up with some English friends who came back for coffee and were just as impressed as we were, we are all hoping to get together and rebook. We would highly recommend this beautiful apartment to anybody traveling to Rome. Marco kept in contact with us always making sure everything was okay before our arrival, either via email and we are now Facebook friends. we look forward to seeing you again in the not to distant future. So to sum everything up extremely comfortable, central to all the major attractions, easy to move around the city you can just about walk everywhere although we did take the Metro and the bus to Tivoli the Villa Deste' one of the most magnificent gardens I have ever seen. Everywhere is just a photographers dream. The local supermarket was just around the corner and a larger one in the next street. Marco very kindly stocked the fridge and cupboard with the basics for us so after a long journey we were warmly greeted and did not have to want for anything when we arrived for our weeks stay. What makes this property unique

In the 55sqm apartment there are 2 large bedrooms. On the building roof you can enjoy a roof terrace from which you can admire the Coliseum, St. Peter's dome, the Capitol Hill and many more.
It is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Rome, the Celio one of the Rome "Seven Hills", that despite being in the city center, maintains a relaxed and familiar atmosphere. The area is also very safe.
