Le Séjour de Printemps Idéal à La Rochelle

This lovely apartment was the ideal base of operations for my two-month stay in La Rochelle. Proximate to all the local attractions and necessities, I was grateful for the ability to relax in the beautiful salon and shared garden at the end of my pleasant days spent in the Old Port, the central market, and neighboring islands. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bathroom was adequate to my needs, and I never wanted for a car given the apartment’s perfect location. The check-in/out process was a breeze and I look forward to my next visit!

Magnifique demeure buccolique et très bien décorée

Il faisait très chaud, mais comme la maison est ancienne, nous étions au frais à l'intérieur. Le jardinier n'était pas passé , les herbes étaient très hautes et n'avons pû profiter du salon extérieur, prendre le petit déjeuner le matin aurait été un bonheur (seul bémol) même la voisine est adorable

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt in La Rochelle

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt über den Jahreswechsel in La Rochelle sehr genossen. Das Apartment ist sehr gut durchdacht, mit allem Nötigen und vor allem sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Wohnraum ist wirklich etwas besonderes und zugleich sehr bequem. Das Bett war super. Bis ins Zentrum und zum Hafen sind es nur ein paar Schritte.Da wir zu einer ungewöhnlichen Zeit angereist sind (Sonntagabend) waren wir sehr dankbar, dass das geklappt hat. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen.

A Beautiful Spot

Excellent apartment!

From start to finish the communication was excellent. The apartment was lovely; clean, great amenities, size and a couple of minutes walk to the harbour. Close to the bars and restaurants but the apartment was quiet! Loved the apartment and La Rochelle! We will be back!

Nous avons apprécié la localisation pour des activités en ville. La cuisine est vaste avec beaucoup de commodités. Le logement intérieur est conforme à la présentation. Un peu difficile de trouver du stationnement. Pour l’arrivée et le départ c’est plutôt contraignant. Jardin extérieur non propice pour la détente ou manger.

Fabulous thanks apartment, difficult to park

The property is beautiful, very clean and well equipped. France, the property manager was very helpful and communication with her was excellent. The property is ideally situated and convenient for bars and restaurants. However, we had to queue for 30 minutes to be able to park. The nearest car park was full and only had a maximum of two hours anyway. As guests who are in their 70s, we found it extremely difficult to carry our luggage 400 metres from available parking and had to make two journeys. The car park tarrif showed up to 4 hours and we were worried that we had parked illegally. Thankfully, that was not the case and we paid 48 euros for 5 days. France did suggest an underground car park but this was even further away and we wouldn't have been able to carry our luggage. If it wasn't for the parking situation we would, most definitely, return.

Enjoyable stay in a lovely apartment.

Well-presented apartment, offering all the amenities we required. Short stroll to beach and bars and restaurants. Prior to arrival, communication with apartment owners was excellent and we were made to feel welcome. Property manager greeted us and explained property amenities clearly. She explained that the damp stains within certain rooms had been addressed and the apartment was being redecorated next month. Whilst we would not benefit from this, we accepted her explanation. The manager explained that we were expected to clean the property before we left as we had not paid the additional charge for cleaning. We were happy to do this as we have at other properties in the past. The standard of expectation for cleaning, however, was not made explicitly clear, neither did she explain that we would be penalised if she was unhappy with our cleaning. Upon departure, we were very disappointed that the manager then chose to criticise our cleaning standard and only then threatened to withhold the hefty deposit we had paid. We have never experienced any negative feedback about our cleaning before so this came as a shock! This situation needs to be clarified upon arrival or the additional cleaning charge be automatically added to the overall cost of the apartment. We have never been faced with a situation like this before in the numerous holiday stays we have experienced. Overall, however, this did not detract from an enjoyable stay within the apartment and we shall definitely return to beautiful La Rochelle in the future.
