Experience a unique, two-dwelling lake house retreat on Copake Lake located 25 min from Hudson and 30 min from Great Barrington. This sun-drenched home offers stunning lakefront views from every bedroom, direct water access, and year-round fun for kids and adults alike.

The Main House (2 bed, 2 bath, sleeps 6) is a renovated 1950s cottage blending charm and modern comfort:
- Primary bedroom with Queen bed and private bathroom
- Bunk bed room with 4 built-in XL Twin bunk beds
- Light-filled living room with lake views
- Open kitchen with dining area that opens up to the deck
- Loft space with Smart TV, lake views and cozy hangout area
- Huge deck with wraparound seating and 3 sets of French doors off living room to the lake

The Guest House (1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, sleeps 2) feels like a private, modern treehouse on the lakefront:
- Guest suite with private bath and King bed
- Coffee station, under-counter fridge, dishware, and electric kettle
- French doors open to a private deck with café seating
- Ideal for in-laws, couples, or anyone needing space and quiet

- Fall: Gorgeous leaf-peeping, hiking at Bash Bish Falls. Bike the Harlem Valley Rail Trail (bike rentals available at Bash Bish Bicycle)
- Winter: Skiing, snowboarding, and tubing are 15-30 minutes away, respectively, at nearby Catamount Ski Area or Ski Butternut. Ice skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and ice-fishing are all possible right on Copake Lake when it freezes over

The house is beautiful, clean and cozy. Our boys (3 and 6) were in absolute heaven with the bunk beds, board games and toys. Daily canoe rides on the lake to look at fall foliage and then evenings by the cozy fire. Beds and linens were very comfortable!

This house is perfection. The hosts were amazing with communication. Always answered our question in a timely manner. The house is beautiful and right on the lake. The house is on the clear side of the lake, meaning no seaweed. You can see straight to the bottom and perfect for swimming. We LOVED out stay and would love to come back.

Perfect lakeside retreat

This was our second time at Vincent & Natasha's beautiful cabin perched right on the lake. The house is well stocked (and well organized!) with everything you need, and the setting is just magical. Hope to return next summer!

Great stay!

Great stay in such a gorgeous house on the lake! The area is beautiful and the house itself had EVERYTHING we needed to cook meals and make drinks. I highly recommend staying here! House also has AC which owners were very helpful with (it took us a moment to realize the remote slides open but that’s on us). We went to copake winery and feast and floret for dinner- both of which were fantastic. Would come again!

Great Location beautiful house

Thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home. Perfect place for our family of five. House is right on the water, enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and swim dock. Plenty of hang out space for the whole family. The house is beautifully decorated with plenty of sleeping space. Relaxing and peaceful.

Lovely getaway

We stayed at the Copake Lake house for a weekend with a group of girlfriends and had the best time. The kitchen was well-stocked, beds are very comfortable, and everyone was really happy with our stay at this property. Vincent was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!

Dreamiest escape

We had a wonderful stay at the lake house including canoeing, drinks by the fire, and plenty of darts and board games. The hosts specifically purchased a copy of the Splendor game for use during our stay which was greatly appreciated. Our son also loved the toys and the bunk beds were so cozy. Thank you so much!

Perfect retreat!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The communication with Vincent was easy, timely, informative, helpful! The house is the perfect lake getaway. Every detail was thoughtfully curated- nothing was missed. From the decor to the design, and everything in between- brilliant. A specific shoutout to the bunk/kids room. My kids entertained themselves for hours (without screens- tablets or television). The book collection for the kids was especially impressive- positively perfect! We will definitely return in the summer months to enjoy the lake!!

Beautiful, comfortable, happy

For an English family this was American heaven. The children ("kids") plunged into the lake on arrival and emerged only to eat, sleep or check their Instagram feeds to reassure themselves that no one was having a groovier time than they were. We explored (zip lining, white water tubing, Bash Bish falls) and cooked, played darts, lay in the hammock, kayaked. The cottage has everything - well, not a teapot, but everything else. Vince is courteous and thoughtful and clearly a Great Cook: an missing the larder stores already.

Stylish and Serene: Just Two Hours from NYC

As soon as we walked into this house, we felt like we were walking into a magazine spread. It doesn't surprise me that its sophisticated designs were featured in Country Living and The Wall Street Journal. But beyond the rustic chic decor, which will satisfy any art and style lover, there are incredible views of the lake out every single window. My husband and our two kids (10 and 5 years old) went on a chilly fall weekend, but there was still plenty to do: fire pits, reading by the French doors, pulling games from the owner's endless supply, cooking in their well-equipped kitchen, hiking in the hemlock forest, climbing a trail to a stunning waterfall. I couldn't recommend this house more!
