Experience a unique, two-dwelling lake house retreat on Copake Lake located 25 min from Hudson and 30 min from Great Barrington. This sun-drenched home offers stunning lakefront views from every bedroom, direct water access, and year-round fun for kids and adults alike.

The Main House (2 bed, 2 bath, sleeps 6) is a renovated 1950s cottage blending charm and modern comfort:

- Open kitchen with dining area that opens up to the deck

Lovely Lake House

Perfect lakeside retreat

This was our second time at Vincent & Natasha's beautiful cabin perched right on the lake. The house is well stocked (and well organized!) with everything you need, and the setting is just magical. Hope to return next summer!

Lake Side Retreat

Another lovely stay in this cozy cabin - perfect place for our group to wind down and recharge, with long winter walks, making meals together, reading books, playing games and exploring this scenic area. We’ll be back for sure!

Great stay!

Great stay in such a gorgeous house on the lake! The area is beautiful and the house itself had EVERYTHING we needed to cook meals and make drinks. I highly recommend staying here! House also has AC which owners were very helpful with (it took us a moment to realize the remote slides open but that’s on us). We went to copake winery and feast and floret for dinner- both of which were fantastic. Would come again!

Excellent location with everything you need. Beautiful views of the lake. Amazing sunsets and serene sunrises. Vince & Natasha are great communicators and make the renting process seamless. Would highly recommend.

Great Location beautiful house

Thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home. Perfect place for our family of five. House is right on the water, enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and swim dock. Plenty of hang out space for the whole family. The house is beautifully decorated with plenty of sleeping space. Relaxing and peaceful.

Lovely getaway

We stayed at the Copake Lake house for a weekend with a group of girlfriends and had the best time. The kitchen was well-stocked, beds are very comfortable, and everyone was really happy with our stay at this property. Vincent was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!

Dreamiest escape

We had a wonderful stay at the lake house including canoeing, drinks by the fire, and plenty of darts and board games. The hosts specifically purchased a copy of the Splendor game for use during our stay which was greatly appreciated. Our son also loved the toys and the bunk beds were so cozy. Thank you so much!

Perfect retreat!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The communication with Vincent was easy, timely, informative, helpful! The house is the perfect lake getaway. Every detail was thoughtfully curated- nothing was missed. From the decor to the design, and everything in between- brilliant. A specific shoutout to the bunk/kids room. My kids entertained themselves for hours (without screens- tablets or television). The book collection for the kids was especially impressive- positively perfect! We will definitely return in the summer months to enjoy the lake!!

Stylish and Serene: Just Two Hours from NYC

As soon as we walked into this house, we felt like we were walking into a magazine spread. It doesn't surprise me that its sophisticated designs were featured in Country Living and The Wall Street Journal. But beyond the rustic chic decor, which will satisfy any art and style lover, there are incredible views of the lake out every single window. My husband and our two kids (10 and 5 years old) went on a chilly fall weekend, but there was still plenty to do: fire pits, reading by the French doors, pulling games from the owner's endless supply, cooking in their well-equipped kitchen, hiking in the hemlock forest, climbing a trail to a stunning waterfall. I couldn't recommend this house more!

Phenomenal!

Simply stunning. This property is done correctly in every way. From the chef-grade kitchen appliances to the cozy interiors, everything is amazing. The sunsets off the dock or the top deck were gorgeous every night. The location is just 30 minutes or less to the Berkshires and is very private. There are local farmer's markets nearby along with great restaurants. Bash Bish Falls Trail is only a few minutes away and Racebrook Falls Trail up to the Appalachian Trail is also close for a more strenuous hike. Vincent is great to work with and very quick to respond. I've stayed at many HomeAway and VRBO properties over the years and this is one of the best ever. I'd give it six stars if I could. Thanks Vince! I have a sneaking suspicion we will be back!

Magical Get-away

We had a magical week at Natasha and Vincent's beautiful lake house. We were looking to get away as a family in this time of Covid. The house couldn't have been more perfect. While it is close to the road per a previous reviewer, you would never know once you are on the property because the road is quiet and there is a fence that completely hides you. The rustic chic decor makes sitting inside on a rainy day as lovely as being in the outside space. But it is the dock and the access to the boats and boards that really made it a huge hit for our family of 5 (all adults). Natasha and Vincent are incredibly generous hosts and make a fully stocked kitchen and bar available for guests. If you are planning to cook your own meals this is a godsend. We did bring wine and liquor but it was great to grab that splash of something if you were trying to get creative. We all feel rejuvenated and are incredibly grateful for this special week.

Lakehouse Gem

This lakehouse is a gem... For starters, Vince was highly communicative, and provided a raft of information that we used throughout our trip. So setting up and planning our vacation was a breeze. The houses are amazing. I won't repeat everyone's descriptions here, but suffice it to say that they have everything you need to enjoy a vacation with your family. We had three children from 10-12 years old, up to Grandpa who's 92, and everyone had a great time. Besides the obvious pleasures of daily cookouts, water sports, reading on the dock and playing every game in the house, we used Vince's guide for local diversions. We ate in Hudson, ziplined in Catamount, played tennis at the local courts, went to several farmers markets and local meat purveyors, and strolled through / ate / shopped in Great Barrington. Vince even gave us a heads up on the Perseid meteor shower, and we watched shooting stars, on a moonless night, by a still lake, whilst eating s'mores...in a word, stellar. So if you're looking for a truly unique lakehouse experience, this should definitely be on your short list.

Best Lakehouse Stay

I've been eyeing this property for years and finally took the plunge with my husband, 3yo daughter and another couple and we had the best time. Our friends stayed in the separate cabin while our family took the main house. It was the perfect amount of space for this group (and more room for another kid or two if they all share the bunk bed room). The house was well equipped for all kid related items so we didn't need to bring much from home. My daughter especially loved all the book options! The view and proximity of the lake from this house can't be beat. Beautiful views with just the right amount of trees to give you privacy. We ate dinner on the deck and drank wine by the fire pit every night. Kayaks, SUP boards and a canoe are all provided to enjoy the lake. They even have a cute island you can swim or boat to and hang out and/or watch a completely unobstructed sunset. The owners provide great advice for activities and food in the area. We also rented a pontoon for the day based on their suggestion - a must do! One thing to note is that the parking spot is super tight. I would worry if you bring more than two cars for this rental. Otherwise, a lovely time and break from city life!
