Tenuta 4 - Apartment with swimming pool

Beautiful farming estate comprising 6 restored units situated on the Chianti hills, a short distance from the village of Mercatale (with general stores) and 22 km from Florence away. This property offers large outdoor areas and a nice panoramic pool with splendid views over the surrounding vineyards (producing excellent wines). All of the apartments provide welcoming interiors furnished in a rustic style. The units Tenuta 1 and 2 are approx. 50 from the pool away while the remaining units are closer. By the pool, guests can enjoy use of a beautiful panoramic terrace with sun-umbrellas and sofas and of a covered area with WI-FI in internet connection (WI-FI internet is also available near the reception, closer the units Tenuta 1 and 2).
The access to the property is via an unpaved road suitable to any car.
Distances: Mercatale with general stores 4 km away, San Casciano 10 km, Greve in Chianti 12 km away, Florence (airport and railway station) 22 km away, San Gimignano 37 km, Siena 60 km away, Arezzo 90 km, Pisa (airport) 92 km away, Lucca 95 km away.
At guests’ disposal: large outdoor areas, garden, shared swimming-pool (12 x 6 m – min. depth 1,25 m – max. depth 1,4 m – open from 01/05 to 30/10) with panoramic views, barbecue, playground for children with swing. The property and all the apartments provide WI-FI internet connection (free of charge).

Extra Services: Baby bed upon request. Maid service available by arrangement (€ 12,- / per hour to be paid locally). The products of the estate (wine, olive-oil) are available for clients to be purchased.

Die Gemeindestrasse ist eine Vollkatastrophe

Die Zufahrt als Schotterstraße zu beschreiben ist einfach eine Frechheit. Der Gemeinde ist es anscheinend egal wie die Gäste zum Domizil kommen. Die ersten rund 800m ist es eine reine Schlaglochpiste auf der man nur mit einem echten Geländewagen vorwärts kommt und jeder andere PKW untauglich ist, auch aufgrund der Bodenfreiheit. Schrittgeschwindingkeit ist noch zu schnell. Jeder Feldweg lässt sich besser befahren als dieser Weg. Sobald die Privatstrasse beginnt ist die Zufahrt zur Unterkunft kein Problem. Der Empfang von Anna war sehr herzlich und informativ, es wurde uns die Anlage gezeigt und auch etwas zur Geschichte erzählt. Die Fotos der Ferienwohnung sind leider viel heller als die Realität, unsere gebuchte Wohnung Nr. 4 war aufgrund der kleinen Fenster sehr dunkel. Es tut uns leid für den Vermieter, aber aufgrund der aufgeführten Erlebnisse können wir keine Empfehlung aussprechen und werden auch nicht nochmal kommen.

Dear Robert, thanks for your feedback. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused by the dirty road. Due to the heavy rain the municipal road leading to the property had become worse then ever! It has been repaired shortly after your stay.

We visited villa in the end of May with a group of 32 people and had there a great wedding party. Rooms were nice and clean, with a possibility to cook, make coffee. Most of the time we spent next to the pool, water temperature was nice refreshing, panorama was excellent. Villas managers were super friendly and ready to help if we needed some help. We also booked a wedding dinner that was tasty and again really great service! Would definitely like to go back there! :)
