About this property

Winchester 3 Bedroom Cottage + Large Garden w/Office - Opposite 5-Star Farm Shop

Welcome to our 3 bedroom family home in Winchester, it has all the amenities for a short or longer-term stay.

The cottage has plenty of character and boasts 3-bedrooms: 2 double rooms, 1 single room and a warm 150sq ft garden office (available for an extra cost) and a large English cottage garden.

*Fast fibre Wifi internet throughout the house* making it an ideal location for work and pleasure.

We have a comfortable sitting room with three seater sofa, armchair, nowTV & DVD player (w/usb connector) and a classic working wood burning stove. Lots of kids books and toys in the chest.

The dining room has an extendable table which easily sits 6 guests and has hosted many Christmas festivities. Ikea High-chair available for little ones.

We have a large family bathroom with bath & shower, we’ve also installed underfloor heating.

You would have a big full-kitchen, double oven with grill, a large fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, Samsung Washing Machine and Bosch Condenser Heat Pump Tumble Dryer. We have kids Ikea plates/bowls/cutlery etc.

The garden office is fitted with electricity, lights, heating, internet, desk and swivel work chair.

Young Children: We provide a stair gate, Ikea high-chair, comfortable travel cot with John Lewis fitted sheets, classic Ikea kitchen plates, bowls, cups & utensils, toys, games and books.

The Good Life Farm Shop (Now Cobbs) is 50 yards away with a friendly Cafe serving food all-day, a little bakery, cheese stand, only butcher in Winchester, florist, gift shop and garden nursery.

Easy access to the famous Winchester Christmas Market, Winchester Cathedral, Country Walks, Itchen River, Arlesford, Stockbridge, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Andover, Chichester, Southampton, Isle of Wight, South Downs National Park, The New Forest, Lymington, Bournemouth Beaches, Poole, Reading, Guilford and London Waterloo (under an hour by train).

Great place for children and family

The cottage is cute with a garden and apple tree. The young children both sides gives a feel of busy family environment. We were there for a writing retreat. Cleaning up the place was a good break from writing.

The house suited us very well, with children aged 4 and 6 it was very helpful having a box of toys a books that kept them happy for the week we were there. The garden was also beautiful. The house was mostly well equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen. Having a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer were useful. The hosts were easy to contact and got back to messages quickly.

Nice little cottage only a few miles from the centre of Winchester

This cosy little cottage is very conveniently located only a few minutes’ drive from Winchester, it is beautiful and quieted and has all the amenities you might need, a lovely home-from-home. The cottage also has a wonderful garden and an office 'cabin' should you want to be undisturbed to do some work. We found everything clean and in good working order and will consider coming back with the family.
