About this property
Typical Stone House by the sea Sicily
Just thirty meters from the sea, once a fishermen’s home and now fully renovated, Casa di Pietra welcomes its guests with the charm of tradition and the comfort of modernity. Located on a quiet street parallel to Sampieri’s seafront, this ground-floor house offers an intimate and cozy atmosphere, ideal for those who wish to experience the authentic magic of Sicily.
Reached via a charming stone staircase, the apartment opens onto a bright living room with a double bed, fully equipped kitchen, dining table, and TV. An automated Velux window and a ceiling fan ensure pleasant freshness. A hot/cold air conditioner regulates the indoor temperature. From the living area, one enters a delightful small room with bunk beds, perfect for children. The bathroom is complete with shower, sink, bidet, wc, washing machine, and hairdryer. A small terrace with table and chairs for four invites guests to relax outdoors and enjoy the sea view. The apartment is equipped with linens, towels, and beach accessories. Cribs, toys, and equipment are also available to make family stays even more enjoyable. The artworks and furnishings created by the owner give the space a unique and personal touch.
The landscape surrounding Casa di Pietra is captivating: a pine forest, typical Mediterranean vegetation, a dramatic cliff, and a long beach of fine sand enriched with rare dunes, dominated by the ancient Pisciotto furnace, famous as the set of the TV series “Inspector Montalbano.”
The location is ideal: just steps away are shops, bars, restaurants, supermarket, newsstand, hairdresser, nightclub, beach clubs, wellness center, sports facilities, and the small harbor where you can buy the freshest fish. Marina di Ragusa, with its brand-new tourist port and lively nightlife, is also nearby.
Casa di Pietra is also a privileged starting point to discover the Baroque Valley and UNESCO World Heritage cities such as Modica, Ragusa, Ispica, and Noto. From here, excursions can be organized to Syracuse, Palazzolo Acreide, Caltagirone, Taormina, Agrigento, and Piazza Armerina, or into nature at the Ispica Caves and the Irminio and Vendicari reserves. For adventurers, there is Mount Etna to climb and, from the nearby port of Pozzallo, the possibility of reaching Malta by catamaran. Guided tours in the Val di Noto are also available with licensed guides.
