Comfortable apartment for family vacation close to Bellevue Ave. and Cliff Walk
The well-kept 2 bedrooms (only these rooms have window air conditioners), living room and kitchen/dining area offered ample space for our family, with a pleasant yard and easy off-street parking. The Bellevue Ave. historic district and Cliff Walk are within easy walking distance. Steve, the owner, stopped by to welcome us and share information on area beaches.
This property was everything we expected. The description and reviews were very accurate. Steve was a great host by making some local suggestions as well as being very responsive to communications
We really enjoyed our stay. Steven was wonderful and the lodging was large. Big rooms, big kitchen. We walked to the beach each day. A bit of a walk but under 1 mile.
Great quiet place to stay. Property and house are clean and it's a convenient location. Quick drive/uber to town.
Burnt something in the oven the morning of our departure and owner was quick to withhold a part of the deposit for mistaking it with cigarette smoke. After a quick convo the issue was resolved and the remaining deposit was returned. Still dont know how burnt toast was mistaken for cigarette smoke.
Would stay here again as it's a beautiful house.

Lovely.
The hosts, Steve and Fran, could not be nicer or more helpful. The home is very elegant, large, comfortable and well equipped. There are a couple of things that are not ideal: 1) the second bedroom does not have access to the bathroom without either walking through master bedroom or walking out into main hallway of the house. Because they do not lock the doors to the outside it is a little weird walking around the hall at night in a nightie but I got used to it. And I’m sure they would lock the doors if you asked I just didn’t want to bother them. Also, 2) the bedrooms have air conditioners (living room and kitchen do not) but the windows are impossible to open so it’s AC or nothing at night. No breezy night nature sounds. Oh well all in all it was Heavenly and I would definitely rent again as is.

A true gem
Steve met us when we arrived at the house and was a pleasure to talk to. The house is walking distance to a number of the mansions and Salve University. The beaches are close as well. It was a wonderful stay. We loved the old feel of the living room and bedrooms and then the modern kitchen was wonderful for cooking breakfast and dinners. Thank you

Beautifully restored
My family of 5 had a wonderful time in Newport. Since this home sleeps 4, Steve had a queen air mattress made up in one of the bedrooms with plenty of walking room to spare! Steve greeted us and gave us lots of information about the area. We were able to walk to the beach, cliff walk and Thames St. The attention to detail in the house made for a amazing visit and I would highly recommend it for your next stay in Newport.

About the host
Hosted by Steven Booth
Steve and Fran purchased the property in 2014, and live in an adjacent unit. We plan on welcoming our guests to the hospitality that we have enjoyed in Newport.
Steve's parents grew-up in Newport, and Newport was the family vacation destination for Steve, and for Steve and Fran's family.
We are so thrilled to have purchased this property within walking distance of Bellevue Avenue, Salve Regina University, the Ocean Drive, Bailey's Beach, and the 5th Ward of Newport.
What makes this property unique
Location, location. We are walking distance to many Newport attractions. Historic Bellevue Avenue is 1 block away. Ocean Drive, Bailey's Beach, Reject's Beach and the Cliff Walk are down the street. Salve Regina University is 3 blocks away. A 15 minute walk brings you to Thames Street, and the Tennis Hall of Fame. First Beach, Second Beach, and Fort Adams are a short drive away. This is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Newport.
