Snowbird Season runs November thru February. For a quote, select an arrival date (must be the 1st day of the month) and a departure date (must be the 1st day of a subsequent month). Contact us for alternate date requests and further assistance! All monthly rentals are subject to an additional $150 cleaning fee.

The Islander features Two Pools, Two Hot Tubs, Lighted Tennis Courts, shuffleboard, covered grill gazebo and on-site fitness center plus connected private beach. The Islander has a coin-operated laundry facility on the 2nd floor is open 24 hours a day. It is a well lit space with six washers and six dryers and a deep bowl sink.

Once you stay in Holiday Isle, you'll want to come back year after year!

Area Attractions: 

An easy walk along the beach will take you to the jetties, where the Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor meet, a spot well-known for great snorkeling and fishing. Here you can also watch boats going out deep sea fishing and returning from gulf to harbor. 

The Islander is perfectly located next to Destin Harbor, where you have access to and can enjoy a sunset dolphin cruise, snorkeling, para-sailing, wave runner and paddle-board rentals.

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest!  Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.

Great place for a family vacation! Only negative was the lack of open beach area right outside the resort. Umbrella jockeys would take over the beach area bright and early. But otherwise just fabulous!!

We really enjoyed our stay for spring break. Gorgeous room with classy decor (I like that better than over the top beach style). The complex is very clean (including the team "cleaning" very early 8? which woke us a few mornings) but again, glad it's clean! Loved the onsite activities for kids like painting on the beach, balloon maker, and Nonnie's Ark with animals (all free). Only things keeping it from 5 stars: in-suite laundry would be ideal (there was a laundry onsite for $1.25 washes and $1 drying), and keyless room entry (ie. codes) so that we don't have to worry about misplacing the key. But overall a great place that we'd enjoy visiting again!

Property was convenient. However, property is in need of a deep cleaning in all areas. (e.g. bedroom carpets, bathrooms, and couches) They have a roach problem. Furniture needs to replaced in the living room and beds. The brief time we spent in the room TV's did not work. Property management was prompt when we reached out for bug issue but at the point we were disappointed over the entire stay.

The location was group easy to get to and from places the beach was very nice, the condo was ok not worth the price we paid beds in guest room were loose and about to break, couldn’t use guest bathroom due to door knob not being connected to door, furniture had stains on them, master bedroom light or fan didn’t work called and reported all this first day there they told us someone would come out and fix it and they never showed also was given two wrist bands to get in and out of gate to beach and room only one worked, if having to book again will be going with a beach house.

Needs Attention But Great Location and Complex

Location of this condo and building it’s located in is super nice and a quick walk to the beach or the pool However this property when we checked in had issues We couldn’t sleep on the master bedroom bed as it was broken by previous tenants - 2nd night we suffered through it after notifying management - they sent a handy man to look and address the lights in bedroom not working - no response after on the beds so we were left confused and felt like WE were being the inconvenience by reporting issues The beds In the second bedroom are both loose on their frames and wobbled and we were weary of them breaking - in short we basically paid for the location and to sleep on the couch in this unit

The resort is nice. The unit my family and I stay in was a 3rd party rental. The condo view was so excellent but loud with it being right above the pool The unit was not clean well , remote controls had visible food on them. The beds are so incredibly over used and in poor condition. They would be the first thing I would update of it were up to me. I liked the activities that the resort offered daily, however the on site gym is kinda silly as it's so tiny. I believe maybe 2 ppl could workout at once. The pools and hot tubs were great! Super clean and working well. Which was a blessing considering most of our stay ( 5 out of 7 days ) were raining and cloudy with restricted swim access to the ocean due to the storms. Who knew Destin was so cloudy!! I enjoyed that the condo had a good variety of cooking utensils to use. Overall, with the added resort fees, taxes and cleaning fees I would not recommend staying here as it's over priced for the actual value. The beach portion that is owned by the islander is tiny compared to nearby resorts that have flatter and wider area to lay out and play. The jetty East condos next to th islander seemed to be a better option for your money in my opinion after speaking to guests staying there. I will say , unless offered an extreme discount to return I would not return

Good overall but...

There were just a lot of little annoying things that add up. For example there was no cord to connect the DVD player to the TV so I had to switch the one from the cable box back and forth. The batteries were dead in one remote so I had to buy some. Probably the biggest issue was the beach. The beach space allotted to the Islander isn’t all that big and is completely dominated by the $35/day chairs covering almost the whole area. Apparently it is up to the owner of each unit whether or not it’s included and it’s not for this unit. I’d highly recommend you pick a unit with beach service unless $35/day is no big deal for you. Also dealing with RealJoy is ok but it would have been a lot easier to rent through the Islander directly rather than having to call an outside provider every time you need something. For example I was almost charged $25 to let me in my room when I walked out of my room without my key and staff there said it would be no problem at all if it weren’t for it being a real joy unit. Like I said little things but they add up. Overall the room was great and the property was really beautiful. I’d use the islander again but I would probably go through them instead of real joy

Family vacation

We really enjoyed staying at this property for our first trip to Destin. The location was nice and convenient. The laundry room and trash chute were just steps away from the room. The pool area was clean and there was only a 3-4 min walk to the beach. The area was also very quite. We would for sure stay here again on our next visit to Destin.

Terrible looks nothing like photos

The property was not cleaned there was blood on the sheets stains all over the furniture and carpet with holes in the wall and ripped ottoman pictures “new” in the pictures. It took 3 days to speak with owner of unit which resolved absolutely nothing.

Great property!

Our family enjoyed the option of pool or beach. The beaches were clean and the lifeguards were great! The pools and hot tubs were very clean - though the hot tubs were FIRE, like human boiling hot. :) The unit was clean and perfect for our family of 5. The kitchen is updated however some of the furniture is very "broken in" and could use replacing but we spent our vacation outdoors so it was fine. The complex is a short drive into town, grocery and many fantastic restaurants.

Great place! VRBO issues

The location and facilities were as advertised. Some issues apparently when making a reservation through a third party during the time we made our reservation which led to not receiving the check in instructions until after we arrived. The keys were not located in the box per the instructions but eventually got it figured out. Other then that snafu we had a great time and would stay here again.
