Chris and Looby provide a lovely converted barn with all the necessary amenities to ensure a very comfortable stay. Waterloo Farm is in a great location and long hikes and historical landmarks were thoroughly enjoyed.
We have just arrived home from a wonderful weekend at Waterloo Farm Barn.
We had lots of fun sat around the firepit and drank the cider made from the apples in the orchard.
Chris was a wonderful host and very welcoming. The Barn was well equipt and perfect for our purpose. The land was beautiful and we were very lucky to have lovely weather too. We will be back! :)
Our second visit - the barn is very simple, but had everything we needed. The location is green and peaceful, with wonderful walking nearby. We enjoyed a very warm welcome from Chris and Looby, and also enjoyed their home-made perry!
We had a great time switching off and having a weekend break from our everyday lives on this hidden treasure of a stay. The accommodation is everything you need it to be, no more, no less.
The hosts were lovely, welcoming and just thoroughly interesting people.
If you're staying with young children, remember to take some board games for evening fun.
We had a great few days staying at the barn. It’s in the beautiful spot, with lovely walks from the doorstep, and not far to Ludlow. Well equipped, friendly hosts. We would visit again.
As should be obvious from the listing, it's not a five-star hotel, but it's clean, the kitchen is well-equipped, the peace and quiet is enviable, and what Chris and Looby are doing there is fascinating. And in a glorious part of the country!
We had a great holiday. We were wonderfully immersed in the countryside in a beautiful quiet location. Enjoyed walking through orchards, in an amazing natural environment. Owner was very helpful. Would definitely recommend!
Upon arrival we were met by Chris who was very welcoming and ran through everything we needed to know about the property and area. Set in a beautiful, quiet location yet in easy reach of civilisation; no wifi, TV and limited mobile coverage which was ideal to get away from it all. A complimentary bottle of the homemade apple juice and cider was very welcome and a lovely touch. My four children were very happy for the 2 nights we stayed and have already asked if they can go back! Excellent.
We had a great 4 nights here, it was a lovely relaxing time where we could fully switch off from the usual everyday chaos and technology. Was great to explore the area, get out on walks, and just chill in the garden area. Chris and Looby were great, so helpful and great to chat with, and we all loved the cider and apple juice (well the kids got through the apple juice before we had a chance to try it which is a pretty good sign!) Would definitely stay again
Lovely place to discover nature, leave the city behind
Hosts very hospitable and welcoming. Lovely place, kind enjoyed the space, nature and especially the extras, EG, tree swings, cats, hammock, outdoor fires and tents. Completely disconnect from the world, no TV, WiFi or city fumes and noise.
We had such a fantastic time in a truly beautiful area. Very peaceful, the barn had everything we needed, and Chris was incredibly accommodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend !!!

A tranquil hideaway, surrounded by lush countryside
We didn't realise no television or radio but it gave more time for reading and planning
our excursions. Not for people who like pristine hotel life but who enjoy the countryside
and all it's pleasures. We loved the local scenery and trip to Ludlow except we gained
a puncture, which was probably from the rough terrain en route to the farm. The local
pub recommended by Chris was excellent.

Tranquil setting
We chose this property because of its tranquil location, in touch with the nature. The site and surrounding countryside was beautiful, the sound of birds, lambs and stream adding to its magic.
The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom with bunk beds for all of us was fun and loved by our children! The property was as described.
We were warmly welcomed by Chris and showed around and adviced on local walks etc. We had great walks in the area as well as exploring pretty Ludlow, Bishops Castle and stunning hills of Long Mynd.
Left inspired by Chris and Looby' s work and life philosophy. Thank you for our lovely stay.
