Located about fifteen kilometers from Aix en Provence, our 1 hectare property is near the village of Eguilles.
The south-facing villa faces the hill and enjoys breathtaking views over 20km. The environment is calm and not overlooked. Some villas are hidden in the surrounding greenery.
Large hackberry trees on the terrace provide shade and pleasant freshness in summer.
You will appreciate the villa for the calm, the environment, the shaded garden, the freshness of the house and the terrace while the warm summer air encourages you to take a bath in the large swimming pool of the villa (14x7m) .
Some villas are hidden in the surrounding greenery.
The village of Eguilles offers all the amenities: bakery, butcher, cheese maker, fruit and vegetables, convenience store, pharmacy ...
Leisure: tennis and horse riding nearby, forest walks, mountain biking, jogging directly from the house.

Very nice house with well-kept grounds and pool. Communication was good. With 6 bedrooms there was enough room for our large extended family. We enjoyed the atmosphere and as an added bonus, there was a good-sounding piano to play.

Great house in a beautiful location

The house is wonderful! Great location for exploring the Provence region. The house is spacious for a large group. It will be hot in the summer though, so be prepared if you come in the summer. The check-in directions (in English) are a bit confusing, so read them carefully multiple times first. Our family had a great time and the host is very pleasant.

Check in was easy, the property is stunning. The house has everything you can think to want. It really can accommodate a good sized group. I agree with other reviews about having a car, to come & go. I will hopefully get to bring others to this amazing spot and get to visit again. Merci.

Magical French Countryside Getaway

This is easily one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been. The view, the house, the pool, the terraces all make for wonderful places to have a great meal, spend time with friends and have a glass of wine and ponder the world. It was a rich week of connecting with the beauty of France. All of us were very grateful for our time there. I hope to go back again someday.

Charming Property

We stayed at the property in September 2023, weather was fantastic and the property amazing. Fabulous swimming pool with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Several terraces from which to enjoy outdoor dining. A large Carrefour supermarket is a 20 minute drive away, local tennis courts a 20 minute walk (15 Euro's an hour per court) and the lovely town of Eguilles a 30 minute walk. Helene the host was very approachable and I thoroughly recommend the property.

Beautiful French country farm house.

This is a beautiful country home in a superb French setting. There was ample room inside and out and a well equipped kitchen for cooking. The only downside is that it is in a rather remote area and not easily accessible to Aix if you are not used to French roads.We quickly decided against any in town dinners in the evening. It is a bit difficult to find the first time You drive there but our host gave us very detailed directions.All in all a lovely time was had with our group of 8.

Overall a lovely stay

The property has lovely views - it is up a narrow road and feels isolated although it is only 10 mins from Eguille (perfectly fine for going to the grocery store and boulangerie but not an especially pretty town). The pool area was wonderful and lovely outside space to eat - we loved the pizza oven and had many lovely evenings outside. The listing doesn't make clear that the property manager lives in an annex right next door - didn't cause any problems but would have been good to know (we heard their music from time to time - but they were very polite).The house is large so plenty of space for our 2 families of 4. Host was very helpful - we arrived to ants on the kitchen counters and she sent over the property manager with ant powder straight away which resolved the issue.I would say there is quite a lot of clutter in the house - the kitchen cupboards are overflowing with mismatched bowls and obscure appliances from the 70s. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean but there was so much crockery in the kitchen, we would often pull out greasy trays or bowls. It could definitely do with a good purge.

Provence Paradise!

We had an incredible stay at Helene’s property the first week of July. The house is incredibly spacious, and the the views are what one dreams of when they think of a stay in French wine country. The pool is also amazing - huge, perfect temp, and was professionally cleaned several times during our stay so that it was always pristine. Helene was also super responsive abs helpful whenever we had questions. The main callout I have - what makes this property so special (the remoteness and privacy) can also make things challenging if you don’t have a car. We chose not to rent cars and relied exclusively on taxis/Uber. Some drivers struggled to find the location and as renters are responsible for taking all garbage and recycling down the road to the bins upon check out, it was quite a lot to transport on foot at the end of our stay. My recommendation is yes, definitely book this home but also book a car and you’ll be in great shape! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect in every way!

Our stay at this classic French home was all we hoped for — and more! The pool is huge and beautifully maintained, the terraces and pizza oven were wonderful and used every day, the views were expansive, the house itself was immaculate and equipped as a home should be. The garden and trees and walking paths were beautiful. Eguilles is a charming town with all you need. Helene was so helpful and worked with our travel issues above and beyond what was expected.. we wouldn’t change a thing except the entry directions! We hope to be in that paradise again.

Très belle maison proche d'Aix

La propriété est situé sur des coteaux et domine donc les environs : la vue est magnifique. La maison est en bout de chemin donc très calme . Elle est très bien équipée, tout ce dont nous avons eu besoin pour un séjour de plusieurs jours est disponible. Les explications d'accès à la maison sont très claires et la propriétaire très sympathique et arrangeante. Tout a été organisé pour que nous passions un excellent séjour, jusqu'à l'organisation des lits dans chambres Nous y reviendrons certainement et avec grand plaisir .
