Casa Almendras is a beautiful villa in a rural location in Benamargosa, about 1.5 km from the village. The house offers breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding hills dotted with almond, mango and advocado trees.

The fully renovated villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. 2 bedrooms have a queen-size bed (160x200) and each has an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. The other 2 bedrooms each have 2 single beds and a shared bathroom with bath and shower. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Casa Almendras has a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. The kitchen opens onto a terrace where you can have breakfast with a beautiful view of the surrounding nature.

In the sunny and open living room there is a sitting area, wood stove and smart TV and a dining area. Wifi is available.

Around the large swimming pool (8x4) with outdoor shower is a spacious sun terrace with beautiful views. There is also a shady relaxation corner and a BBQ area.

Casa Almendras gets its name from the many almond trees on the 6000m² domain. The house offers a lot of privacy.

There are several bars and restaurants in the village of Benamargosa. There is a large supermarket with butcher shop and a bank.

Casa Almendras is the ideal place to completely relax or use as a base to discover the many beautiful sights of Andalusia.

The best villa we had so far in Andalusia

We had a very good and friendly host with Wim. He fulfilled our every wish! The villa is fantastically located on a mountain, with the car winding but easy to reach. All rooms were very clean and nothing was missing. We would book this villa again!

Lovely Property

Great stay and communication with owners. Be careful with car to access property, up hills with steep climbs. Our 1 litre petrol car could not get us up, when fully laden. Thankfully Nick helped us with his car! Views are wonderful, Gilbralta worth a visit as well as Caminito Del Rey, fantastic views and great walk, 7.7 km. Loved our stay.

The villa was beautiful with fantastic views. Everything was as described and the inclusion of the cot and high chair was greatly appreciated The drive up to the villa is quiet steep but the views more than make up for it. The only disappointment was the pool although the water was fine to swim in and we thoroughly enjoyed the use of it, the floor could have been hoovered and the sand cleared of the bottom.

Perfect vacation

We rented Casa Almendras for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it here. The house is super nice with lots of space and the kitchen had all we needed to cook dinner (incl. dishwasher). The pool area was really nice. Sun screens had just been put up over part of the terrace which gave nice shade. Don't take the road up suggested by Google, but use the directions from the owner. The road is still steep and narrow, but as others wrote - the view more than make up for it. The surroundings and view are stunning!

Traumhafte Finca

Die Finca ist wunderschön eingerichtet, top sauber und hat einen traumhaften Blick. Es gibt viele schöne Sitzecken und den tollen Pool konnten wir auch im Oktober noch ausgiebig nutzen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Top vakantie gehad!

We hebben een week vakantie gevierd in deze mooie villa. Het was allemaal goed geregeld! Van alle gemakken voorzien. De villa is bovenop een berg gelegen, de weg ernaartoe is erg steil. Ik zou echt een goede auto aanraden, anders kom je de berg bijna niet op. Verder echt grote complimenten voor de eigenaren.

Ideal if you like spectacular views

After staying nine days in Wim's&Dorien's 'Casa de Almendras' it was not easy for us to pack our suitcases. Owing to its location on top of a mountain you have an almost 360° view including the seaside towards the south as well as the inland in the other directions. The house is well-equipped, tidy and offers all you need (possibly with the exception of air-condition, but it's certainly healthier not to have that). The pool is sufficiently deep to allow for real swimming and the quietness of the place is ideal to relieve stress. As mentioned in the other comments, the access road is indeed challenging and we can only recommend to bring a car suitable for offroad-driving, ideally with 4x4 AWD. However, the house is absolutely worth the effort! The small village downhill offers all basic services (supermarket, petrol station, small bars/restaurants) and its inhabitants are lovely. I would also like to stress the good management of the place by Wim&Dorien who are very relaxed and helpful hosts and always try to resolve issues as quickly as possible.

Beautiful villa

Great villa in a fab location with stunning views. Layout of villa and pool area is great with lots of space and features. Area beautiful, but drive up to the villa narrow and daunting and we certainly wouldn't attempt it in the dark. So we were unable to visit surrounding areas or eat out after sunset. Had a very enjoyable stay and the use of the private pool was lovely.

Familienurlaub mit drei Generationen

Wer es ruhig und abgelegen mag, ist hier genau richtig. Das Haus und Einrichtung sind super. Der Pool einsame Klasse. Einige Kleinigkeiten wie Schüsseln, schärfere Messer, Thermoskanne und ein paar Sonnenschirme könnten noch ergänzt werden. Trotzdem hatten wir einen schönen und erholsamen Aufenthalt. Wim und Dorien sind super und stehen wenn etwas ist, sofort zur Verfügung. Wer hier hin fährt, sollte sich allerdings im klaren sein, wo das Objekt liegt. Wer Angst beim Autofahren hat, ist hier fehl am Platz. Wir hatten jedenfalls einen super Urlaub und würden das Objekt jederzeit wieder buchen !!!

The real peace and quiet

This beautiful house in the hills of Axarquia is all it promises in the description and the pictures. The building and surroundings are in a very good shape and maintained well. The house is clean and fresh, the swimming pool and terraces as well. It might be good to know: there is no dishwasher. The water comes from 2 huge tanks outside the house, so it makes sense to use water with care and don't waste it. To dispose of your rubbish, you need to bring the bags down to the village and dump them in one of the many dumpsters you'll find easily along the roads. Glass, plastic and paper have seperate containers as well. The drive from Benamargosa up to the villa is an exciting experience, as the road is only partially paved, small and quite steep now and then. It's important to have a proper car, but if you drive carefully and aren't a nervous driver you'll get used to it. We decided not to drive up or down in the dark, because we didn't feel confident to do so. The owners Wim and Dorien are very competent, friendly and trustworthy people. They help you whenever help is needed. They always reply within a very short time to any questions. The 360° view is absolutely stunning. The place is exactly what we needed, as we wanted to relax, enjoy some peace and quiet and not be too far away from an airport. To reach the house from Malaga airport you need 1 hour by car if traffic conditions are normal. The beach and restaurants in Calete are worth a visit. The ancient town Comares as well. We can highly recommend this villa to people who are looking for the real peace and quiet. Thank you Wim and Dorien, for having us! Ingrid and Guido from Bremgarten, Switzerland

Excellent villa with stunning views

A spotlessly clean villa, with a beautiful pool and the most stunning views we have ever had. There was plenty of crockery,cutlery, glasses, pots and pans etc - all good quality. The bed was very comfortable which guaranteed an excellent nights sleep. Look out for the eagles - very beautiful. Wim and Dorien could not be more friendly and helpful. Just a mention of the drive to the villa - it is certainly not dangerous, but in some places is steep. This was the best weeks' rest and relaxation we have had for years - we will certainly return! Dreamhouse!

Words cannot describe this place! First, it´s wonderfully decorated and with more than you could ask for. Second, the owners are pearls! Ok, the road up to the house is a bit steep, but if you want amazing, life changing views, it´s just a cheap prize to pay. The ocean on one side and the beautiful montain villages on the other. The owners, Dorien & Wim are pearls! We had a bit of an accident, including hospital emergency care, and they were more than helpful in every way. Love! The planning of the house is great! Two master bedrooms with ensuites, and two more with a shared. Comfortable beds, which is not really common in these parts. Clean!, totally clean! I love to cook, and everything neened is here. Sharp knifes, how about that! If we could give 10 stars, we would. We will be coming back soon! /Tony, Emma & Hannah

Super schönes Haus, top Vermieter ABER gefährliche Anfahrt

Haben eine Familienauszeit mit vier Männern gemacht und uns auf Grund der Schnarcherei ein Domizil mit 4 SZ gesucht. Unsere Wahl viel auf dieses Objekt. Die Anfahrt in den Ort Benamargossa lief problemlos und das Treffen mit dem Vermieter Wim fand pünktlich statt. Dann fuhr Wim vorraus und was dann kam war schon abenteuerlich. Das Haus liegt in den Bergen und Benamargosa und ist fußläufig nicht zu erreichen. Wäre auch kein Problem gewesen, denn wir hatten ja einen fahrbaren Untersatz......theoretisch. Die Fahrt zum Haus führt über eine ca. 3 Kilometer lange Schotterpiste mit einer Breite von ca.2,5 m, unbeleuchtet und mit einer Steigung, die es wohl nur in deutschen Weinbergen gibt. Gegenverkehr übrigens nicht ausgenommen. Schwindelfrei sollte man schon sein, denn an vielen Stellen ging es an einer Seite einfach nur abwärts und damit meine ich nicht nur 10 Meter. Wir hatten einige Male Gegenverkehr und das machte echt Angst. Ein Kleinwagen wird die Steigungen wohl erst gar nicht schaffen. Für uns galt immer erster Gang. Wir sind nun alle autoerfahren und nicht ängstlich aber wir haben uns sofort entschlossen diese Strecke bei Dunkelheit nicht zu fahren. Nach der Ankunft am Haus wird man dafür allerdings mit einem Ausblick belohnt, der wirklich andernorts kaum zu finden ist. Die Betten und die Einrichtung sind top. Die Warmwasserversorgung dagegen mäßig. Für eine Woche Doppelkopf war es ok, einen längeren Aufenthalt bei der Anfahrt käme für uns nicht in Frage. Durch die Fahrt durch die Berge dauert die Fahrt bis nach Torre de mar dann auch gut 45 Minuten. Fazit... tolles Haus, grandioser Ausblick, sehr sauber, super netter Vermieter ABER HORROR BERGANFAHRT. Echt GEFÄHRLICH
