This is a beautiful, charming, clean and well-equipped apartment in a wonderful location on the Santo Spirito Piazza - close to the Pitti Palace and a short walk across a bridge to the Duomo and Uffizzi Gallery. The piazza which has restaurants, a daily market and the amazing 15th c. Basilica of Santo Spirito. We would definitely stay here again. Many thanks to Martina for all of her assistance!
Spacious and beautiful appt in great Florence location. Piazza Spirito Santo is charming and fun. Easy walk to all Florence sites.Appt well distributed for large families and groups.Would return anytime.
Location, location, location! This apt is in the Piazza Santo Spiritu…soooo beautiful. Wonderful restaurants in the plaza, an outside market every day we were there. Live musicians play in the plaza every day. Easy walk to downtown Florence and all the tourist sites! The bedrooms are large and filled with beautiful art and antique furniture. I will definitely stay there the next time I go to Florence! Communication was excellent when we had a few questions. Definitely recommend this VRBO!!!
This was a perfect location for a Florence vacation. We could walk everywhere and anything we needed was around the corner. Three bedrooms and three baths made it perfect for the three couples I was there with.
The flat was incredibly gorgeous and spacious. The details of every room takes you back in time. It was perfectly located in San Espirrito Piazza near fantastic restaurants and cafe. At night time, there is live music where you can enjoy a drink while listening to music. It is walking distance to the city center as well. A must consider stay when visiting Florence.

Great location…. That’s about all this place has to offer.
Initially we thought the place was perfect. 3 bedrooms and 3 baths for 3 couples. Only one room has an attached bathroom and that’s the one with the twin beds. One bathroom is on the opposite side of the flat. The washer will fit about 5 pairs of socks and there is not a clothesline for drying. Two bathrooms had about 1/4 roll of toilet paper and the other didn’t have any…. For 6 people. Lastly, the floors were filthy. I had on brand new white socks that were black after one night of walking around the apartment.Check in was a joke. They told us the 3rd floor, it was the second floor. The location was great. That’s all.
This was a great place with nice rooms and the location was absolutely perfect. Located just off the path of the city’s hustle and bustle, this neighborhood plaza provides a local feel with a nice cafes, trattorias, and a nightly variety of entertainment and fun, all the while being close to great restaurants and museums. The A/C is only in the bedrooms, which we were thankful for due the unusually hot temps while we were there. We all would definitely stay here again! Ciao!

Looks better than it functions
The location of this apartment is perfect but everything else fell short. We immediately noticed how dusty everything was, which was confirmed after our baby crawled around a bit and was covered in dirt. ALL of the seats (couches, chairs) in the entire apartment are broken and we were scared we’d fall through them. There’s no common space other than a narrow room with a dining room table which forced our group to congregate in bedrooms. There were no paper towels, kitchen towels, the Teflon on the pans were too scratched to safely use. The freezer was broken and one shower was so clogged we stood in 4” of water after one guest used it. We tried to contact the owner who never responded so we fixed it ourselves. Then, more than 24 hours later, a plumber showed up at 8pm while our babies were sleeping to fix it.
The woman who checked us in tried to swindle $250 euros from us (twice) with claims the money was for a cleaning fee, a water fee and a city tax, none of which was mentioned in the listing.
All in all, we were uncomfortable but the convenience of the location allowed us to easily shuffle babies back and forth. Not worth it in the end.
The apartment was full of charm and character, clean, lovely sheets and towels in an amazing square. If you want to Anson yourself in Italian life rather than the tourist route, I highly recommend staying here.
We loved this charming apartment on the piazza. The noise didn’t bother us at night and it was really fun to have all the friendly cafes steps from our door. Easy walk to everything you need and want to see. Beds and baths were all great. Not much of a living area but that didn’t matter to our group since we were away enjoying the city most of the time. Would definitely recommend!
I love the location of this property in Piazza Santo Spirito with all the restaurants, the beautiful church, and the vendors every day you can honestly feel the vibe of the beautiful city of Florence.

Fantastic location
We loved the location. Walking distance to everything! But a bit away from all the crowds. But if you are a light sleeper easily annoyed by noise then the joyous sounds of Italian life coming from the piazza at night may not be for you. We loved the market stalls that set up every morning in the piazza and the bars and restaurants.

I would stay here again.
Fantastic location! Nice apartment. Needs a working coffee pot though. We loved the area and furnishings. The person that was handling the rental was a little hard to get a hold of sometimes. I really had doubts someone would actually be there to meet us, but they did. Cannot say enough about how great this location was. As I'm thinking about it now, it makes me want to go back right now. Piazza Santo Spirito was always busy. We loved it! Beds were comfortable too.

Friends meeting in Florence
The square was very loud at night. The back of the apartment has a septic smell at times. The apartment was clean and in a good area to see the city.

I really enjoyed my room. Enjoyable view from windows & they worked easily & sealed out the sounds when needed. I wish an easier visiting area were possible.

Beautiful place to stay
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, however- be aware that there is an additional 100 euro cleaning fee and a 3 euro/per person tax that must be paid in cash on arrival. In the summer months it might be noisy because there is a lot going on in the square, but we enjoyed the farmer's market on Sunday. Overall a beautiful place to stay- the property has lots of character.

Clean, Comfortable and Confusing
Our stay in the Santo Spirito Palace was very good. Before arrival, all of our questions were answered promptly. With our first and final payments, we received the terms of the rental; amount owed for cleaning fees and city taxes; and directions and contact telephone number for check-in. When we arrived, the apartment was clean and ready for us to move in. Although the windows of two of the three bedrooms opened onto a busy and colorful piazza, the windows are new and made of extra thick glass so that when closed the rooms are quiet and you can sleep easily with minimal disturbances. My husband, who is a very light sleeper, used his ear plugs and had no complaints. The three bathrooms were ample, modern and had good water pressure. Make sure however that you request directions on how to use the bathroom toilet located at the back of the apartment near the washing machine, as that was one of the confusing things about this property.
The apartment is located within one to two blocks of good bakeries and coffee houses. There are daily markets in the piazza. This is a nice central location and we found it easy to walk to many of the sights.
The other confusing thing about this property was the cleaning fee. The initial Home Away voucher did not bill or note a cleaning fee. My rental agreement from the owner stated the cost of the cleaning fee that must be paid in cash at the time of check-in. When I arrived, I was told that they had increased the cost of the cleaning fee. I was also told that an e-mail had been sent to me one week before my arrival advising me of this change. I had started my vacation two weeks before my arrival in Florence and had frequently checked my Home Away Telephone Application but the e-mail notice had been sent directly to my personal e-mail address so I did not see this email. What did I learn? Owners and renters should communicate through Home Away's e-mail service so that communication is readily accessible both through personal e-mail and the Home Away telephone App. I did have a copy of my rental agreement with all of the information, so the person checking me in agreed to honor the rental agreement and accepted the amount printed on the rental agreement document. There were five of us and we all agreed that we had a good stay on this property.

Good location but dated/broken ammenities
Pros - Good location and minutes from Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti. Spatious with updated baths. Beds were comfortable.
Negatives - Dusty apartment with dated uncomfortable furniture with worn springs. Dust particularily surprising given cleaning arrangement. Clothes Washer and toaster broken during my visit with no accomodations made. Piazza can be loud til late as front facing apartment close to many outdoor restaurants.

Large, beautiful apartment in a great location
We loved the location of this property. Very clean and as pictured. Located in a popular Piazza that was quite busy in the evening which we found fun. Great restaurants near by and the best Gelato! Would definitely stay here again.
