Hill Country Vibes

The location of this place could not have been any better--only 5 minutes away from Pedernales State Park! Views of both the sunrise and sunset made for a great start and end to each day. The cabin is simple and rustic, with plenty of room for a large family. Only item to note--the well water is a bit briny so bring plenty of water to drink--showers, etc. are fine. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Hill Country Getaway

The Hilltop was a great place to stay for our 4th of July fun! It was close enough to Johnson City to see the fireworks on the 4th and is just south of Pedernales Falls State Park where we went hiking and hung out in the river. All of my family was in awe of the property. The pictures do not do it justice! The cabin is huge and clean and has the necessary amenities for cooking and hanging out. My husband and stepson sure made use of the ping pong table! And the treehouse is pretty sweet! The sunrise and sunset views from the property are absolutely gorgeous! While we were still there, my family was already talking about staying here again. The owner Billy was very quick to respond to all of my questions. We'll definitely be back!

Fantastic Stay

We had another magical hill country weekend at the Valley View cabin (we were here last year, had such a great time that we came back for more). The house is exactly as listed... simple, clean, comfortable.. situated in a gorgeous spot in the hill country. It's the perfect place for a quiet weekend getaway. Highly recommended.

Can't beat it

The hilltop was an awesome place to stay for a weekend get away to the Hill Country. With is proximity to Pedernales Falls State Park and Dripping Springs, it is really hard to beat. The property itself is beautiful and sprawling. Our dog loved running around exploring the grounds. The cabin was really comfortable as well. It had everything we needed. We will definitely be planning another trip out here!

Peaceful family getaway!

Beautiful property with plenty of room to spread out. Location was close to Dripping Springs and Johnson City so plenty to do if you want to shop, eat out or check out cool brewery’s. Kitchen had everything you need if you want to cook at home and hang out by fire pit! Beds were comfortable and loved the huge dining room table for family game night. Would love to visit again.

Beautiful hilltop spot next to Pedernales Falls State Park

This is a great spot for families to enjoy day trips into Pedernales Falls State Park (or Johnson City). The host, Billy, is so accommodating and helped us to make our stay better in the face of some heavy rains. It's quiet and great for star gazing, as well. The house has plenty of kids' books, movies and toys; no need to bring your own.

Peaceful, rustic, family friendly cabin with wonderful views

This property has that relaxed, old fashioned country home, family focused feel. We really enjoyed our time there and were surprised by how much time we spent outside..during August in Texas. There was always a breeze and the views were fantastic. We saw beautiful stars from the yard, wonderful sunrises from the upstairs bathroom and peaceful sunsets from the deck. The cabin is well stocked in terms of kitchen items, seating areas, games and books, towels, and..... great bathroom soaps. The cabin is decorated in such a way that we felt as if we were staying in a friend's home. And the tree house is fabulous! Close proximity to Perdenales Falls is another plus.. This was just the right place for our family as we were wanting a quiet getaway and a chance to charge up before the new school year begins.

We rented house for family Christmas getaway. And we had a great time.

The land wad breath taken, beautiful view of the Hill Country. The house was a most completely stocked, besides food. Which was really nice. Love the open concept of the down stairs, we have 8 in our family and everyone had plenty of space. Well definitely rent house again.

Wonderful retreat!

Although we live only 30 minutes away from this cabin, we rented it for a 13th birthday party retreat for our son and a few of his friends and their dads. It is such a comfortable place! There is tons of comfy seating on couches and chairs. There's a great TV and DVD player. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooking wares. There are plenty of towels and sheets and comfy beds. Not to mention the ping pong table, stash of board games, the deck, the fire pit, and the amazing tree house outside! It's a short drive from Pedernales State Park, where our guys spent time on Saturday. The only downside was that there's also a Zipline and trampoline that we weren't allowed to use, which wasn't popular with our 13 year olds! But they had plenty of fun roaming the huge piece of property. All in all, we'd rent it again if we need somewhere closer to the park. It's a wonderful retreat indeed!

Scenic and serene escape in a large, very comfortable family cabin

This was the perfect place. Absolutely loved waking to a gorgeous sunrise and rushed back every evening for an equally gorgeous sunset. One of my sunrise pics from there was selected for use by Texas Hill Country (just a phone pic, not a professional). I like this location, great for beautiful drives. So much to see and do in the Hill Country. We come out every summer at least once. So many swimming holes, went to 6 new ones. What kid wouldn't love that? Loved having coffee in the treehouse. We visited Enchanted Rock, hadn't been in 20 yrs. It was an easy, stress free stay. No problems and plenty of supplies in a large, very comfortable family cabin.

Great weekend - Kids loved it!

We booked a last minute trip to Hill Country and happened upon this listing - Billy was extremely prompt in responding to our request and we were thrilled with the property. The location and view are beautiful, and the house is much more spacious than we expected based on the description. Our kids loved the tree house (minus the nest of daddy longlegs on day 1!) and had fun exploring the property as a whole. This was conveniently located to Dripping Springs and Wimberley - we hit up the Blue Hole, Wimberley Wineries, The Salt Lick, Enchanted Rock, etc. Would definitely book again and it would be great to go with another family as well.

Amazing Location, Private & Peaceful

This property was everything my group of friends and I were looking for when we wanted to spend a weekend in the Texas Hill Country. The house is easy to find and is minutes away from Pedernales State Park. It has valley views to the East & West and has a good sized deck, fire pit and tree house perfect for stargazing at night. The inside of the house is a lot bigger than the pictures suggest and to top it off there is a ping pong table! We brought our own water so not able to comment on the tap water. Had a great time and will be sure to be back.
