The property is amazing. We loved sitting on the huge wraparound porch with the beautiful view. House is beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything we needed..
We had an amazing vacation week at Fellows House. The location is top notch situated on a quintessential New England beach. The sand, the sunsets, and the seals were our daily treats. The home is lovely and the host is wonderful. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Me and my husband stayed here for the weekend of our wedding so had plenty of space for the two of us, but also enjoyed hosting family and friends for dinner, coffee, getting ready and so much more. We actually got a few October beach days out of the stay! The property was extremely well put together, clean and up to date while still offering a cottage beach vibe. The views are amazing and the set up is great for family and friends! Everyone who stopped by was in awe! The home has so much to offer!
Our family grew up coming to this beach but haven't been back since our matriarch passed away a decade ago. What an absolutely wonderful way to return to this beloved beach. This house is so special. We can't wait to be back.
Our family vacation in this gorgeous house was perfect! The host, house, VIEW, beach, location, amenities - all of it superb. Truly an A experience coming from a family that travels a lot. We are a family of 7 (ages 16 to 86) and everyone felt comfortable and loved it. The only thing to know if you have someone older or with mobility issues is there is not direct access to the beach from the yard but there is access 2 houses away, down a bit of a steep incline. Thank you Christopher for a beautiful and memorable experience. We hope to be back soon.
Perfect Cape Cod oceanfront property, cannot beat the view from the dining room! House was as advertised and very well stocked. Host was great, good communication and very responsive. Overall 10/10 would stay again
Absolutely gorgeous property! We stayed here for a few days with our adult daughters, and one 12 year old daughter, and we all had an amazing time. The views from each room simply cannot be described in words. This property is clean, very well appointed, very well stocked, and absolutely amazing in every way. We had a great time, and will absolutely be back!
The house was warm & inviting upon entry and is appointed with everything you need to enjoy your stay (linens, towels, blankets, beach chairs, two coffee machines - Keurig & brew - and coffees to choose from!)
Morning walks on the dog friendly beach (loved meeting the dogs and owners) and evenings relaxing on the deck furniture by the fire table made for an amazing few days of R&R. Shopping and dining conveniently located with a quick trip into town. Added bonus was viewing the spectacular Northern Lights while we were there!
Christopher was a gracious host; great with communication on check in and and provided information on local restaurants.
Would definitely stay here again.
Our family has rented beach properties in Nantucket, the Jersey Shore and Outer Banks, and this one is by far the best we have experienced. First, the water views are stunning which never gets old from having coffee on the porch to watch the sunrise to having a glass of wine to watch the stunning sunset. The house is well stocked with everything you need and the attention to details is one of the best in that category. Plus you can't beat the easy walk to the beach everyday. And Chris is very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. We plan on coming back next year!
Upon arrival we found the property freshly cleaned and all the beds appeared made. Upon closer inspection we discovered that they were made without sheets. The linen closet in the house had all necessary sheets but they were not organized into sets or folded properly. It took over an hour to match all the sheet sets and make the beds.
The second problem we encountered was with bathroom towels. There just weren’t many. We didn’t think much of it and had brought our own, so we used those. Then we did a load of wash and upon opening the dryer found a full load of bath towels sitting inside.
We found the outdoor cushions dump and we could not enjoy this lovely patio setting, unfortunately The dining chair cushions were very dirty..
The property is pretty but it needs some refresh.. The views are great indeed. For the price we expected higher standard and comfort.

This review is completely unfair. Every review we have received in the past are FIVE STARS. This guest did not communicate any of these concerns to us despite our communication welcoming them to the property and requesting them to contact us with any questions or concerns during their stay. First and foremost, the property was in pristine condition upon their arrival as I personally worked with our cleaning team preparing the property for their arrival. We provide fresh, laundered linens for the beds and organize them in the linen closet with twin sets on one shelf and queen sets on another shelf. We have now labeled the sheets more clearly in the linen closet. And, from this feedback, we are now making each of the beds with fresh linens to avoid guests from having to make up beds upon arrival. We take feedback seriously and actively incorporate suggestions into improving the guest experience. However, this does NOT warrant a TWO star rating. With regard to the towel comment, the dryer had not completed its cycle at the time of our cleaning team's departure so unfortunately there were six clean towels in the dryer. We have double sets of towels and the remaining towel supply was more than plentiful. With regard to the outside porch cushions being damp -- this is because these guests did not bring the cushions inside at night or use the extra large cushion bin on the porch to protect them from evening dew and rainy conditions. Unfortunately, the guests neglected to follow the property guide which is posted on the refrigerator door. We inspect the dining room chair cushions during the cleaning process and there are a few minor spills which have been cleaned but due to the light color of the cushions are not able to be completely removed. We are removing the cushions completely to avoid this concern in the future. We take great pride in our property. The interior and exterior underwent a complete painting refresh this Spring. We purchase only top quality linens, towels, blankets, throws and comforters in order to provide guests with a luxury, seaside retreat experience. We make ourselves accessible to guests and are noted in many reviews for our responsiveness and prompt communication with guests prior to and during the guest visit. All of these items would have been easily addressed had the guest taken the time to text or email us during their visit. Unfortunately, this sadly now reflects on our property profile and tarnishes our stellar reputation as a host.
This home is stunning. My family and I stayed for a long weekend as a short "baby moon" in the early summer season looking for a place to both relax and have some fun together. I am not familiar with the Plymouth or Cape Cod area so wasn't sure where the gems would be hidden, but we are so lucky to have found this one. The place is wonderfully taken care of, we immediately felt right at home when we arrived. The inside is cozy and inviting, I think we all paused and did a deep breathe in near unison when we walked in, just completely relaxed. The wrap around porch gives way to a picturesque scene. The location is perfect, ocean front property nestled further up a small incline gives panoramic views of White Horse Beach and the cape beyond. This home is right at the end of the beach stretch which gives it a wonderfully private feel while still having access to the beach just steps away. White Horse itself is beautiful. The pebbly beach was full of gorgeous finds, clean, and was very peaceful for our daily walks. Our son had a blast searching through the area for treasures and playing in the calm water.
The owners were very helpful during our time here. They gave suggestions for restaurants and activities as well as kept available for the off the bat questions that came up while there. Overall this home was an absolute winner, we will definitely be coming back.

Lovely, inviting home
We totally enjoyed our stay at the Fellows House. There were many, many things we loved. The house has been updated inside with tasteful decor, very comfortable and ample seating inside and out. Kitchen was well stocked with quality dishes, utensils, knives, and cookware, including household things like saran wrap, dishwasher and laundry detergent, which made cooking a pleasure. Quality appliances. Two large flat screen TVs. Living room space is much larger than pictures. There are three very desirable outdoor spaces--two in the front and back of the covered porch which are ocean view and street side; one in open space to the side of the house. The view is as promised, loved watching the tide in and out each day. Beach is not crowded, full of wonderful colorful pebbles, we spent hours walking on the sand. Location easy to drive to other restaurants, or to downtown Plymouth to see the Mayflower and Plymouth Plantation. Walking to the Lobster Pound to buy fresh seafood for dinner was a treat--about a 1,000 steps away. Owner was pleasant to deal with, responded quickly to our texts. The place was very clean when we arrived. The upstairs bath if 3/4 with a shower (no tub). We were one family, and only used three bedrooms, so sharing 1 1/2 baths worked, but might be crowded for a larger group.
Things we would improve: while there are two high quality beach chairs, more are needed. Downstairs half bath needs a towel rack as there is no where to hang a hand towel . Sheets, linens and beach towels are not provided--which is a challenge for those who travel via plane and surprised considering the cost. The septic system only allows for one load of wash per day. One thing we didn't like: the closest neighbor played loud music on outdoor speakers for several days--so loud we could hear it when inside the house and we found it too disruptive to read on the porch. Several hours after being asked, they turned it lower, but we could still hear clearly it when sitting out on the porch over the next two days.

We value feedback from our guests and have already installed the towel bar as mentioned and are ordering additional Cape Cod Beach chairs -- the best on the planet - for the 2016 season. We have since installed a new washer and dryer at the property which are both eco-friendly and allow for additional loads of laundry each day with our septic system. We have a very tight-knit coastal community neighborhood which has collectively addressed the music issue (noted above) as a neighborhood -- apparently the neighbor's son hosted friends at their beach home for a 3-day weekend without the parents being present. The music issue was a one-time event -- never has happened before and never has occurred since -- which the family has addressed and have promised everyone in the neighborhood will never occur again in the future.
We take great pride in our property as this review highlights. We hold our property to the highest standard and do everything possible to ensure that our guests have an exceptional experience and a memorable seaside retreat.
Well maintained. Well furnished. Very comfortable. Nice location. Great views. Brought a few people in their 80s. Needless to say they loved this house. We usually try different homes in this price range, for the last 14yrs. This is the only house we came back to. Owner is always available and really keeps up with his homes.
The Fellows House was the best family beach house experience we've had to date. The home never felt crowded or uncomfortable, and we were working with quite the crew! The living room was perfect for a family movie night and the porch had seating for everyone. The patio was great for morning coffee / evening wine. The yard was absolutely the best for the kids and they thought rolling down the hill was hilarious. Bonus fridge in the garage was perfect for putting treats / drinks so sandy feet stayed out of the house. The entire crew raved about the beds being very comfortable. Every room had an amazing view. The only thing we felt was missing was a way to hang beach towels and bathing suits at the end of the day, but understand the rule about hanging off the rails. This house is a total stunner and you absolutely will not be disappointed staying here.
Just a few notes that might be helpful:
- All linens (Beds, bathroom, AND BEACH towels provided!)
- Brand new outdoor shower is awesome
- Individual AC units in each bedroom keep the rooms nice and chilly
- House is wheelchair accessible via the back door (Just not the bedrooms / upstairs)
- Because there is damage to a local beach access point, the only way currently onto the beach is via the boat ramp. This means that access is dependent on the tides. This only really affected one beach day, but something to keep in mind!
We love this property and have stayed here with others over the years and finally decided to rent it ourselves. They have made some solid improvements in the comfort of the stay with new mattresses', better appliances and a fridge in the garage. The house is tough to beat, it's in a great location with unapparelled views. If you have little ones like us, it is a little rough with no tub , high chair or pack and play like most rentals as well as lots of areas for a 1.5-3 year old to get hurt or into some real danger. If you prepare yourself with some gates and so on you'll be just fine overall. We highly recommend
This home by the sea is the perfect relaxing retreat. The views from the majority of the home are spectacular. Lovely outdoor seating allows ample seating for our larger family. When we first entered the home, I felt a sense of calm and peace. Lovely!
Wonderful beach house - white beach with stunning water ! Area has lots to do and Christopher ( property manager) was so warm and welcoming to us thank you - The Anderson’s
We had a fabulous family getaway at the Fellows House in April to celebrate milestones with our children and grandson. The house sits up high over the ocean -- as if you are sitting on the bow of a cruise ship . It offers amazing views from nearly every room. To the southeast the waves crash against the rocky cliff, while to the northwest you can monitor all that is happening on White Horse Beach. We spent every late afternoon and evening in the comfortable chairs in front of the picture window in the dining room. We brought dinner in each night (great local fresh fish dinners), as we didn't think we could find a dining room anywhere that could compete with what the Fellows House served up. We also were blessed with some unusually warm April weather and loved having lunch and cocktails on the grand deck. The house was outfitted with all we needed and Christopher was very responsive when we tripped a fuse in the kitchen. He was at the property within the house to get that remedied. We look forward to coming back.
Thank you, Christopher for sharing your beautiful home! Views were amazing! Stores and delicious restaurants within 1 mi! We enjoyed watching the seals, and walking on the beach or to the point! We had a perfect spring trip to Plymouth! We hope to visit again!
My family and I were beyond happy to be able to make so many fond memories in this home. It had everything we needed and more. Beautiful views and home. Thank you
From the panoramic view, the idyllic New England picturesque beauty of the water and fall color washed landscape surroundings, the warmth and charm of this family-style home, coupled with the caring nature of the owner, made my fall stay a glorious one. The convenience of having or being close to every amenity in town, along with the ability to work and communicate efficiently with strong wifi and cell signal made my special fall retreat complete.
First, I would like to thank our host, Christopher, for his professionalism and attention to detail. He made sure that we were well-informed and comfortable.
The house is situated at the edge of the Cape Cod Sound, overlooking vast, open water. Each day the tide changes and the beach appears and disappears at the base of the sea wall, ushering in turquoise shallows or revealing boulders and scalloped expanses of packed sugar sand. White Horse Beach itself is wide and long, with easy access from the house. The house has a wrap-around porch as well as a side deck, with dining tables, lounge chairs, arm chairs, etc, allowing for multiple options for outdoor eating, relaxing, reading, chatting, and dozing (which we definitely did). The ocean views from the house are open all the way to the horizon, with large windows that allow you to enjoy the water whether you are inside or outside.
The house itself is cozy, with all of the elements necessary to cook, relax, and even work (the internet connection is excellent). There is a true sense of place to the interior, it is not generic. There is a lovely fireplace for cooler nights, and lots of pillows, blankets, and squashy sofas and armchairs to snuggle into.
Just up the road is a tiny fish market called the Lobster Pound (open seasonally from spring to fall) where we were able to find all manner of fresh fish and delicious local lobsters.
In our case, we came to the Fellows House to find a bit of solace during the Covid 19 pandemic, and the month that we spent there was truly restorative. We are grateful to have found this charming, peaceful spot and hope to return!
We highly recommend this property.
We particularly loved the covered porch, the side deck, and the big chairs facing a large window facing the water.
The beds are a bit soft.

About the host
Hosted by Christopher Bean
The family homestead has been in our family since the 1940s. It is a classic and beautiful beach home that is fully updated yet retaining the style and charm of its original character. My mother, Shirley Bean, began visits to The Fellows House in the 1940s when she was a young teenager. She told us delightful stories of growing up summering on The Point and how, in so many ways, time has stood still for this tranquil and scenic seashore community. Four generations of our family have enjoyed this timeless property.
Why they chose this property
The location is second to none. The land surrounding the home is exceptional and one of a kind -- providing direct access to a sugarsand beach as well as a large, gracious manicured lawn for family activities. The lush, green lawn is a hallmark of this quintessential Cape-style, seaside residence.
What makes this property unique
Seabreeze. Sunsets. Sugarsand. Views are amazing! You will feel as though you're on a cruise ship looking out onto the crystal clear waters of Cape Cod Bay! And, the sunsets. The property boasts the BEST VIEW of the summer sunsets. And, the oversized wrap-around covered porch is one of the hallmark features of this iconic property.
