We travelled with our two 20 year old sons and all loved it! The neighborhood was fun, amazing food on the same street, views were beautiful from all angles, and Raffaella responded immediately to any chats sent. We cannot wait to return and stay again.
The location is very central. You can walk to almost everything. However, the Travestevere neighborhood is party central at night. Tons of crowds, and very rowdy at night. Also, the shower in the main bedroom was broken, it sprays in all directions. Other than that, we had a decent stay.
We had an amazing stay. The apartment was just as advertised and provided the most beautiful view. The neighborhood was filled with young life and ambiance which translates to lots of night life, but being on the top floor allows for some distance from it at night. The staff was incredible! They helped us to secure a ride to the airport and answered all our questions. Amazing!
This is a great revovated terrace with awesome view, located in the lively area of Trastevere, bustling with restaurants, bars, cafes and walking distance to Pantheon, Trevi and Spanish steps. Rafaella is amazing, available and helpful nonstop since I booked months in advance with great recommendations too!
A Dreamy Italian Getaway: A VRBO That Exceeds Expectations
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a stunning VRBO property in Italy, and I cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was going to be an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the heart of a charming Italian village (Trastevere), the property offers a perfect blend of authentic charm and modern luxury. The master bedroom is flooded with natural light, and the panoramic views from the terrace are breathtaking – for as far as the eye can see.The location couldn’t be better. If you're considering a trip to Italy and want an authentic, luxurious, and relaxing experience, this VRBO is a must-stay. I’m already dreaming of our next visit!
This was our first VRBO in Italy and it was wonderful. Located in the heart of the vibrant Trastevere neighborhood, it was very close to some great restaurants, stores and Tiber River. Although on the top floor, the elevator worked well and allowed for easy luggage movement. The apartment was clean and views from windows were fantastic. The only issue was that due to neighborhood's nightlife, someone who is a light sleeper might want to bring AirPods to allow them to sleep better at night. But great place and we'd stay there again.
We enjoyed a lot our stay in this appartment, very central location , the borough is very nice for a drink or an Italian dinner , we are a family of 7 and we could fit easily.
Everything was wonderful… location, accommodations, and our host was more than fantastic! We were able to walk everywhere, but we didn’t have to go far for anything we needed. The shops and restaurants near the property were fantastic. This was a girl’s trip, and we were able to relax and recharge after a day of site seeing, then step out the front door and be right near tons of wonderful bars and restaurants. It was perfect!
My 81 year old mother, 17 year old daughter and I stayed at this lovely apartment with incredible views of Rome from every window. Beautifully updated with whites and neutral colors. We were very comfortable and felt very safe going in and out of the apartment.
We stayed here for 4 nights and it was an amazing experience. The communication with the host was speedy from the start of the booking. She arranged a car to pick us up at the airport, gave us local recommendations and helped us with a situation where we dropped something off the patio. She was always quick to respond.
Place was beyond clean by the housekeeper Anna (who lives in the building). It’s a residential building in a fabulous location. Blocks upon blocks of restaurants, mostly limited by cars. Felt save the entire time and my teenage daughters LOVED it. Thank you for sharing your home and allowing us to make many memories.
The apartment was the perfect spot for our family trip to visit our son who was studying abroad. The neighborhood was so lively and the unending choices of amazing restaurants has us dreaming of returning to Trastevere! After long days of walking and sightseeing the apartment was the perfect place to rest and recharge. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace enjoying the vast views and sounds of Rome. The communication with our host was excellent and she even helped us organize transportation from the airport to the front door of the apartment on multiple days as we had family members arriving on separate days. Highly recommend this property!
Noisy location, absolutely. Low ceilings, definitely. We still liked this place.Perfect location for exploring Rome. If you are tall, beware, you will hit your head as I did. Twice. My wife once and she’s 5’6”. Be warned.
We had a great stay, the apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Trastevere cool life,.
It is also close to everything, we walked and walked and walked, our hostess was GREAT, and pending on every detail, we could cook for breakfast, and had a wonderful Christmas dinner in the apartment after doing grocery shopping at Campo di Fiori mercato! The views for the rooms and kitchen are beautiful, has a little place for laundry, we also used it, and a lot of coffee makers in every size. Next door a bread place, and 2 minutes walk a plastic Érica where we had fresh Corletti for breakfast almost everyday. Thank you for a dream holiday time in Rome! We will be back!
This very adorable B&B was such a fun and great place to stay! It is in such a great location for my family of 6. What a wonderful experience. We were met by a lady that showed us around the place and gave us advise on the area. The place is exactly as it shows. Once you leave and go outside you are immersed in the Rome culture with restaurants, shops and yes, Gelato stands right there. RIght up the street is a plaza where they do entertainment and when your done with the day, you can just watch whatever act that has shown up. Can get a little noisy for a little while but it was such a fun environment. A place where taxi's are available is right up the road so very convenient for getting around. The first night there, we signed up for the cooking class near by and it was amazing and right up the street within maybe 20 min to walk to. We sat out on the patio every night and could see how pretty Rome was. Beds were very comfortable to sleep on. I highly suggest checking out this gem; well worth the money and our time!
This great property was as advertised and a wonderful base for spending the new year in Rome. The Trastevere area was incredibly busy (much busier than when I last visited seven years ago), as was Rome in general. There is a lot of noise at night from the streets below, but nothing that bothered anyone much or kept anyone awake (pack a pair of ear plugs). The views from the apartment are just amazing, and experiencing the fireworks going off everywhere around us on NYE was something none of us will ever forget. Rome is busy, and this apartment is right in the centre of things, but everywhere is walkable and six floors up is a nice place to sit back and take it all in. Communication with Rafaela was very good from start to finish.
Amazing location. Bright and sunny. Need to be aware of Shorter angled ceilings.
This apartment had an amazing location. On one of the main streets in Tratevere with lots of restaurants, bars, and liveliness down below. There is a square just one block away that has live music/guitarist every night. It is a couple blocks from the bridge that crosses the river and a beautiful river walk with more restaurants as well. Easy to get to all the sites and locations from here as well.
The apartment was a little on the small side for a family of six. It would be perfect for a family of four or five. The fifth and sixth person need to sleep in a little hallway in the back or on the pull out on the sofa.
Another item to be aware of is the family room, kitchen and second bedroom all have roof line ceilings that go from about 6 feet angle down to 3 feet. My husband is 6 feet tall and unfortunately whacked his head on these shorter angled ceilings about 10 times while we were there. so just something to be aware of. But love the rooftop apartment because it was bright and sunny and you could see all the rooftops of Rome. So the angled roof line is just something that comes with the apartment.
Overall, would definitely recommend this apartment! Have fun! Ciao!

Great location, spotlessly clean, very helpful personnel, but not quite big enough
This apartment is in a great location for people who like the hustle and bustle of Rome and that is one reason we selected it. The owners are great - very helpful with arrangements you might need to make and it is very clean with great views over Rome. Our "problem" was one of size - we were a party of 5 adults and the common spaces are not large and have a number of low beams as the pictures clearly indicate. Unfortunately we are all relatively tall, so negotiating the common spaces was sometimes a bit tricky There were also some issues with closet space (no hanging space in one bedroom and a sort of "half" space in the other big bedroom). On the other hand, the two main bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable and it is nice to have an "ensuite" bath associated with each room.
The layout of the apartment is a bit awkward, with access to the terrace through the 3rd (very small) bedroom. It was in this 3rd bedroom that we did find hanging space for our clothes, but that meant the occupant of the small room had to do a lot of sharing of his space. I do think the apartment is more suited for 4 adults than for 5.
Rafaella and June were extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. Information about the neighbourhood was provided, which is always welcome. They also offer a second apartment in the building which we have stayed in and I must admit I liked that one much, much better.

Clean and Okay but not Great
I’ve been fortunate enough to have mostly wonderful VRBO experiences in great neighborhoods in great cities. While this met the “great neighborhood” and “great city” criteria, the apartment itself was rather disappointing.
For starters, this was the first place where it felt purely like an investment property where the owner wanted to do the bare minimum to check the box on having an amenity without really caring about the quality. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable. The windows were constantly dripping with the condensation created by the cold outside weather. The HVAC was intermittent. The master shower was a tiny plexiglass square. There is no vanity nor shelf space in the bathroom for toiletries. There is no hanging space in the master bedroom – literally no closet or armoire. One of the bathrooms smelled like sewage. So much so that I emailed the owner…without response until we left.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and totally functional – it worked just fine. It’s just not in the category of wonderful properties that VRBO has spoiled me to hope for.
The neighborhood is indeed wonderful, vibrant and loud. The only downside is the loud part. Lots of people on the streets constantly including in the overnight hours. The other thing that sounds like an odd complaint is the local church bells kicking off at 4:30am and then going every 15 minutes. It’s pretty, it’s European but, well, it’s 4:30 in the morning. Again, to each their own – just know what you’re getting into to.
This is not a bad place but I’ll be so bold as to say that I’m sure you can do better.
