Chris was very nice. The cottage was clean and neat. Chris thought of everything! Coffee, snacks, travel magazines.The location is lovely. Quite a lot further from Highlands than advertised however.Overall we enjoyed it very much.

I needed an affordable place to stay while I participated in an art show. My wife found good reviews of this place. The place was quite clean, very quiet and the hosts were amazingly hospitable.

We came to town for a wedding. The place was perfect for getting ready and for winding down after the celebration. We appreciated the ability to only book for one night. It would be a great place to stay if you are in the cashiers/highland area for a short or long weekend. Chris & Jim-Cricket are wonderful and check in and check out processes were very simple and clear. We will definitely be choosing to stay here again in the future and will be recommending this to our friends and family.

Fabulous hosts and cozy getaway

The hosts were amazing and even offered to upgrade our accomodations after they had a last minute cancelation. The place was cozy and clean and has everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend. Just a short drive (2min?!) to the lake and not far to Cashiers. We loved it, and the hosts were very responsive and helpful during our stay.

Cozy retreat/great location

This sweet retreat was comfortable, and perfect for our needs. We were minutes from the wedding events for which we were in town. Exploring the National Forest nearby was a plus, also. Chris was very helpful and so sweet!

Perfect stay in the Cashiers area!

We loved our stay at The Retreat! It was the perfect spot for our one-night stay in Cashiers before we headed to Highlands! Christine was very communicative, provided suggestions for dining, and was always available by phone if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again!

Cute apartment with everything we could have needed.

The apartment was well furnished and so very very cozy. Upon arrival there was soft music playing and it was heated already. In a great spot to do some hiking! We enjoyed our stay.
