I can’t say enough about this little space. So clean and cozy! Very quiet and perfect for sitting outside looking over the tree farm across the way. Communications with Chris was amazing! Always available and accommodating. Perfect weekend stay! Highly recommend!

You could not ask for a more welcoming and enjoyable place to stay. I arrived after dark and the access was very easy. There were so many small details that the host had prepared prior to my arrival that it took me into the next evening to realize it all. From the personalized welcome note and custom name in a glass coaster, to a wine glass and bath hand towel with my first initial, it was very clear that the hosts truly valued their guest and went the extra 2 miles to make the stay special. There are other things I have not mentioned so as not to give away the farm. I have stayed in a couple of places the last year after our home caught on fire and I travel back and forth to rebuild. This has been my favorite by far and I will be staying again if it is available. Highly recommend!!

We came to town for a wedding. The place was perfect for getting ready and for winding down after the celebration. We appreciated the ability to only book for one night. It would be a great place to stay if you are in the cashiers/highland area for a short or long weekend. Chris & Jim-Cricket are wonderful and check in and check out processes were very simple and clear. We will definitely be choosing to stay here again in the future and will be recommending this to our friends and family.

Perfect stay in the Cashiers area!

We loved our stay at The Retreat! It was the perfect spot for our one-night stay in Cashiers before we headed to Highlands! Christine was very communicative, provided suggestions for dining, and was always available by phone if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous hosts and cozy getaway

The hosts were amazing and even offered to upgrade our accomodations after they had a last minute cancelation. The place was cozy and clean and has everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend. Just a short drive (2min?!) to the lake and not far to Cashiers. We loved it, and the hosts were very responsive and helpful during our stay.
