Great location minutes from downtown Highlands and many attractions. Very cozy, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay.
The cottage is dated. But the host has the cottage very clean. I would not hesitate to stay at the same property. Everything worked as it was supposed to. We did not use the kitchen and cannot verify anything there.
Our stay was cozy and comfortable - the house was nicely appointed with everything we needed. It was nice to spend time together sitting in front of the fire at ‘home’ and we were located right in town, which was so convenient! I would highly recommend!
We have been with VRBO since getting our cabin 18+ years ago. Came to Highlands for a family gathering and due to our place being rented we had to find accommodations. We had a wonderful stay. The place was clean, convenient, well stocked, and as presented. Greatly appreciated!
I took my elderly Mother and her 2 older sisters to enjoy a fall weekend in the mountains. The property was just as described and was very comfortable for 4 adults. It was very clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. But if you have elderly people traveling with you, you may want to consider renting the bottom unit. I underestimated how difficult the stairs would be on a 77, 82 and 84 year old. I would definitely stay there again.
My only complaint is that even though it was clean, it seemed like there was still a lot of pet dander that bothered me. I took Claritin. Hopefully the cleaners can move on that feedback.
Everything else was awesome! I was able to walk to town, Bascom, smokehouse, Davis wines, mill creek trails, etc. the sidewalk picks up at Bascom, so you’re walking on the side of the road for a couple minutes. No big deal for me, but others may not like it. Would absolutely stay again.
This cozy cabin is located on the road that goes right downtown. This was our first trip to Highlands so we had no idea what to expect. We were looking for something with more space than a hotel room that was budget friendly. The cabin was very clean and provided everything we needed for a long weekend. We prepared breakfast every morning and kitchen was well equipped. We didn't have a nice view from our deck but for the price we couldn't expect more. I did enjoy sitting outside for a bit one afternoon. As shown in the picture, the bathroom was very small but it worked for my husband and myself and was nice and clean. The windows were new and kept the road noise out. The mattresses were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and washcloths. I did have to ask the owner how to enter the apartment but he quickly responded and we didn't have any trouble. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a little more space than a hotel room for a very economical price.
The space was great and perfect for me being in town for a friend’s wedding. Ali even called me at almost 11 PM at night to address an issue. I’ll definitely be coming back and staying here if I visit the Highlands again
This is a wonderful little apartment close to town. Please know it is right off the highway around a nasty curve. Making a left turn out of the drive is putting your life at risk. Just turn right and make a u turn up the street.
My family and I enjoyed our stay here - super close to town, quiet, and the place had all amenities needed for an easy stay including all the kitchen needs.
Had a little mix up on check out day, we thought we were checking out on a certain date, when we were suppose to check out on another day, owner was very nice and he let us stay one day past our check out date, by the way the VRBO person who called us was NOT very nice, repeated three times very matter of factly about us being there past our check out, she needs to be retrained in her customer service attitude
Very clean, well maintained, nicely supplied kitchen and bath. Great entertainment w tv videos and books. The one item for me was master bedroom mattress uncomfortable.
