This is a beautiful chalet in a beautiful location. It is clean, well equipped and comfortable with everything you need for a perfect stay. The icing on the cake is the position of the chalet right on the seafront with magnificent views. Samantha has been the perfect host answering our texts promptly, I do hope we can come back next year!

Thank you for your wonderful review , I look forward to hosting you again !
Lovely location with a beautiful view across to the Isle of Wight. Lack of privacy may be an issue for some as passerby all look into the property as its located right on the footpath of Avon Beach. The ensuite was very good. The television is out of date and the remote control doesn't work. The deck area and furniture is really lovely with space to sit in the shade of the tree and relax. It would have been nice to have towels provided, and a supply of toilet paper. Overall it was a good place to stay for a few nights and unwind

Ah sorry you missed the toilet rolls which were in the wicker basket in the shelves in the main bathroom . Bath mats and hand towels with soap in each bathroom, sorry you missed the note in your welcome pack to bring bathing and swimming towels . Glad you enjoyed your stay and were able to relax and unwind .

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Cleanliness, location
The place was grubby, the mirrors and windows were dirty. The extractors in bathroom and shower room didn’t work. There were very little plates, cups, etc. The fridge was supposed to be frost free, it was very frozen but didn’t keep the fridge cold to the point 3 times we had to get more milk, it was off the next day or so.,We tired to turn it up, ut it got worse. 3 of us there 2 hand towels??The carpets were grubby. The bin in the kitchen was so dirty and rusty. The very small TV was ridicules, you had to turn it on or off by going round the back of the sofa to turn it on or off by the wall plug ??The only good thing was the veranda which was spacious and lovely.
The place was amazing, for sure I will book again, place is peaceful, the beach is amazing, lot of choices to eat around and also very close amenities.Place is also maximum 1 hour for a lot of other nice places if you are staying more days you have a lot of activities to do .
Lovely property, great position, and doesn’t disappoint after several visits. Even in School holiday period the area isn’t that busy, if you prefer a quieter time.
We’ve never stayed in a chalet before so this was a new experience. The property was beautifully furnished and right on the beach front with an uninterrupted view of the sea. Good restaurants nearby too.
The chalet was immaculate and well equipped. We had beautiful views from the lounge overlooking The Needles. All in all a wonderful location and excellent accommodation.
Check-In details were very detailed and easy to follow, annd the key lock box worked well. Everything was as pictured and described. The view and outside space was exceptional and luckily the weather was perfect.Wi-Fi access was easy to access, and all utensils and kitchen wear well thought out. Great use of space throughout.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and well equipped chalet. Every morning we woke up to amazing views across the Solent to The Needles.
The chalet is so well positioned on the sea front and near the harbour. The shower is fabulous and there is plenty of room for 4 in the chalet. We had a wonderful long weekend. Oh and the pool on site is heated and lovely.
The condition of the Inside of the chalet on arrival was immaculate but quite a lot of seagull Sh— on the glass panels outside which needed cleaning off and patio needed a sweep. The position of the chalet is wonderful with amazing 180 degree sea views with the facilities of Avon beach and the quay a 5 minute walk in either direction. The extended patio with the protected tree makes the chalet a cut above the rest. We had a really wonderful holiday but did not realise from the write up that there was no beach access directly from the chalet and we hadn’t realised that the promenade was just on the other side of the glass panels protected by a very low wall. This meant there is a constant procession of people passing very close to the property who stop to admire the tree and property, hence no privacy whatsoever. We ourselves did not mind and quite often exchanged greetings. One couple actually wished my husband “ happy birthday”as she had seen his cards inside the property! The sun is on the property up to early afternoon and then in shade so if you want sun in the afternoon you need to go to the sunny pool area or beach.Parking was near to the chalet but under a tree which made a well used seagull toilet so lots of car cleaning to do!Excellent fishing, boating, crabbing at Quay.Very high standard of kitchen equipment with excellent cooker, dishwasher, etc. and comfy beds and settees.Wonderful holiday in hot weather but lack of privacy might be a problem for some people.
Fantastic stay, I come from this neck of the woods but now live in Canada. My Wife and I were so happy to find this little piece of heaven with a stunning view of the Isle of Wight and the Needles. We will definitely use this location again when we return to the UK. Thanks :)
Chalet has an enviable position with the accommodation being comfortable and clean, with a larger than average decking area thanks to the tree, which is quite a feature!
Sandhills has a range of facilities to cater for all your needs whilst being a quieter and more conservative site than many.
Highly recommend for those that want a more up-market place to stay with great sea views, easy access to beach and places to eat on the doorstep.
Perfect base to explore the area and highly recommend Beaulieu approx 35mins away through the New Forest, and Compton Acres 30mins away in Poole.
We were delighted with the high standard of our chalet and we found it to be very well equipped and comfortable. There was only one problem and that was the rather lumpy springs in the two twin beds. But apart from that, it was superb!

Thank you for your feedback and wonderful card left in the chalet ❤️
I can confirm that the beds are being upgraded as part of the 2022 season opening and welcome you to come back and try them out . DM for details x
Great place if you love to be by the sea. Right on the front people do walk past but it did not put me off. Sun was on the patio all morning so in the afternoon you can go to the pool or beach.Everything with the renters was so very easy just take your food/towels/beach stuff and your off.Lots to do around the area if you want to drive. But we had a hot few days so stayed still-will definitely go again.Best thing - the viewWorst thing - seagulls poo on the car

About the host
Hosted by Samantha
Hi I am Sam and welcome to the chalet by the sea, under the tree! I have taken the time to create a truly relaxing enviornment where I believe you can turn off the noise and tune into nature, relax, unwind and breathe.
Why they chose this property
This property has been carefully selected and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. With its sea facing decking, set back from a pedestrian promenade , the view is ever changing, from the infamous swans bobbing along, to the sand dunes appearing at low tide, to the endless ocean craft coming in and out of the harbour. The lodge is located on a prime location on the park and is a privately owned chalet located on a holiday park in the grounds of Sandhills, a Georgian House originally built in c1785, frequented by King George III, who also came to Mudeford for R&R. Sandhills currently stands as the club House for the Holiday Park.
What makes this property unique
Organic bed linens, environmentally friendly household products, minimal plastic use and beautifully scented rooms. A boutique style approach to a heritage holiday by the sea, in an unspoilt, charming and English sea-side town.
