Great house for family

Modern and spacious house with full kitchen and three bathrooms- which worked out great for the eight of us. Dinner on the deck, overlooking the lake, was lovely.

Great place!

Had a very nice stay. Perfect spot on the lake, convenient to race track and downtown Saratoga. A couple very minor issues at the house that was addressed promptly by the owner. Would definitely return.

Lakeside getaway

A great contemporary home right on the lake. The home has plenty of deck space and a nice lawn leading to the lake. Beautiful views of the lake from most rooms. Close to grocery shopping, restaurants, and a short drive to downtown Saratoga Springs. The Kitchen is well stocked, and the owner is very responsive. We had a wonderful time.

Stay Away - No dock during our stay, neighbors with aggressive do, rude owner, and surprise fees

Overall, the house is just ok. It's kind of dated. When we arrived, we were surprised there was no dock on the property. The owner claimed it was seasonal after inquiring. For the house, it's hard to explain but the house seems kind of unfinished, like missing baseboards. One other thing that bothered me was that after paying the insurance fee to VRBO, the owner took an additional security deposit that was a significant amount. It seems to me he was trying to skirt around VRBO's rules by asking for it afterwards. In our booking, we indicated that we were bringing pets. He never asked about them but withheld 80% of that security deposit because we brought 2 dogs although he never mentioned any pet fee throughout the whole process or on the listing. Also, the neighbors next door have a dog that isn't friendly and barks and there was also dog poop in the yard upon our arrival. In addition, the owner is kind of rude.

Stayed during track season; Security deposit held inappropriately

We stayed during track season. Location is very nice at the southern end of Saratoga Lake. Beautiful views from the main room and deck. House is in a quiet area; neighbor homes are close, so not entirely private. Convenient to shopping/food/Saratoga.  Dock was present during our stay. Unfortunately we are leaving a negative review due to dealings with the owner. He will ask that you sign a contract listing exact names, addresses, and ages of all guests. He clearly states an 8 guest maximum.   He will ask for additional "security"deposit outside of VRBO (in addition to cleaning fee and VRBO insurance he requires).  For three days we had 10 people in the home (7 adults). He called on our second day to inquire about this (informed us that he has an external security camera which he views when guests are there) and we did not hide this fact. He asked for ~9% extra payment which was sent.  Suspect he will reference  this in response Home is older. We disagree that it is "meticulously maintained". Exposed wiring where doorbell once was. Exposed plumbing in bathrooms. Unfinished construction left above steps.  Refitted showers not finished. There are non-functional vehicles throughout the property (2 cars, 2 boats, 1 airplane) which are clearly visible in listing photo.  Kitchen appliances are newer; Kitchenware is old and soiled.   Air conditioning is inadequate. Owner remotely locked at 74 degrees, and informed us that the system "can't keep up". He advised that we close shades and windows. On days in the the 80s, inside home was high 70s.  Only TV in main room, only most basic channels (no CNN, ESPN, etc). Neighbor dog was noted on property a number of times. Did not hear the dog barking. It was seen urinating on this property's external steps. We had to remove dog poop from lawn during stay. We did not have any pets with us.     Despite above, we had a nice week.   One week after leaving was told that he intends to keep entire 10% deposit; 9%  (extra) for "extra guests" that we had already paid for. He has created a false claim of "making too much garbage" for which he is charging extra money. Falsely accused us of not putting garbage out when required, which we certainly did.    He will claim that our guests stayed longer than he approved. We had 2 extra adults stay for 4 nights, for which he has kept an extra 15% payment. Has used our "security deposit" as additional revenue for extra guests. We left no damage to this property in any way.

Great Lake Front Home

We had a great stay here! The house was clean and the views/access to the beach were unbelievable. The kids and our dog had so much fun down near the water and we even rented a boat so the private dock was key. Would definitely stay here again.

Great get away!

We had a wonderful time at the lake house. As described the home is roomy, comfortable and is directly on the lake. We brought our kayaks and went out paddling every day. The neighborhood is nice with pleasant neighbors and a true lake living experience. Dennis was great with providing information and being available if needed. Check in and check out was easy- we recommend this listing to anyone looking for a lakefront get away!

Great time, great space on Saratoga Lake

This is a lovely and spacious home for multiple families or a group of friends to enjoy on Saratoga Lake. Views were impeccable, and the house is very comfortable and accommodating. Dock came in very handy for the boat we rented. Also took full advantage of the grill and firepit. Perfect summer retreat -- only about 15-20 minutes from the Race Course and downtown Saratoga. Dennis was very hospitable, greeted us in person, and got back to us quickly with all questions. Would definitely rent this home again!

Beautiful house, beautiful location!

My fiancé (now husband!) and I rented the house for my bridesmaids and I to have a getaway before the big day. Everything about the house was amazing - we would definitely recommend it! Dennis was extremely helpful and made sure we knew to contact him with any issues (there weren't any!). We will never forget this trip!!!

Beautiful home on Saratoga Lake

We had a wonderful week at Dennis' home- the setting is perfect. The property is on a quiet street right on the water with gorgeous views but also minutes away from Ballston Spa (with some a great coffee shop and waffle house) and Saratoga Springs.. The house was very clean, all amenities and kitchen accessories were provided. We had a great stay and would highly recommend.

Excellent Saratoga Lake Rental

Our group recently enjoyed a stay at this house. The location is exceptional - the house is near the dead end of a quiet, private road and the waterfront is very large. The deck and multiple balconies provide great views of the lake. The open floor plan and many windows provide a lot of natural light. The bedrooms were nice and clean and the eat-in kitchen was great. As a relatively new rental the house was missing a few small amenities, but the owner was responsive to our suggestions.
