Beavers Hill Cottage a Mountain getaway in Virginia Wine country! W/hot tub

Our rates are based on the amount of people who stay. Our base rate is for 2 guests. We charge an additional $25 per person per night for bookings with more than 2 guests. This allows us to offer the lowest price available for the number of guests staying. Guests are considered all humans, regardless of age. We charge a $50 pet fee for dogs which will show up as a Host Fee.

Beavers Hill Cottage is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is set on a private wooded lot with winter views of the Shenandoah Valley and mountain ranges. During your stay you will enjoy the peaceful quiet of the mountains, local wildlife, amazing sunsets and bright starry nights. Near Front Royal, VA it is an easy 1 hour drive to and from the DC metro area.

The cottage is in Virginia wine country. It is a short drive to 10+ wineries including Fox Meadow Winery (3.4 mi), Capstone Vineyards (7.1 mi) and Crimson Lane Vineyards (7.9 mi), Skyline drive and the Appalachian Trail (GR Thompson State Wildlife Management area is about 5 minutes away; famous for trillium flowers). Enjoy the areas many activities including: hiking, canoeing, horse back riding, wine tasting and the natural surroundings....then come back to relax in the hot tub!

*A welcome gift and starter pack of essentials such as paper towels, toilet paper and soaps, etc. are provided for your stay. Any extra supplies will need to be purchased by guests.

*There is a security camera on the exterior of the cottage facing the driveway to assess the weather conditions of our driveway and for security purposes.

All was good except we had no sugar packets to make tea and did not think to bring coffee. Perfect getaway

Beavers Hill cottage was the perfect spot to escape to the woods with dogs and friends. The house was immaculate, well appointed (though, not fussy), and the hosts were very accommodating. Would highly recommend.

Peaceful & Serene Anniversary!!

Everything was perfect about our stay. The location is secluded enough to feel like the mountain was ours, but not far from attractions, winery, restaurants, fuel, etc. The cottage itself was clean and offered quiet places to relax and sip some wine. Great time!!!

Quiet and Peaceful

Perfect getaway for this hiking family. My college age kids just finished for the year so we took a mini hiking vacation before summer jobs start. Don and Rachel's communication was top notch. A storm took out the power and within 4 minutes we received a message from them with an ETA of restored power plus some back lighting and water. The unit itself was wonderful, comfortable and clean.

Beautiful, quiet spot on the mountain

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at this cottage! The house was clean, exactly as pictured, warm and inviting. It's in a quiet area and it was nice to relax. Lots of things to do near by as well, we went to the caverns, winery and a couple local spots to eat. We always felt safe and secure in the house, all the amenities were great! Thank you!

Quiet Getaway

We were looking for a quiet relaxing getaway near the northern end of the Shenandoah National Park. Beavers Hill Cottage met all our needs. It is very well maintained and equipped and provided the quiet we were looking for. Location wise it allows easy access to the national park and other outdoors attractions.

Awesome cottage!

Exactly as listed, private, lovely setting. It was great we could bring our 2 dogs along. Our Beagle enjoyed the exploring the new smells. Had a visit from a deer family. Well appointed kitchen, we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend or rent again in the future.

Relaxing Stay!

We loved the place. It was so sweet that Rachelle and Dan left a bottle of wine and treats for the dogs. The location is perfect to hike and close to a nice winery, but it is still incredible remote and nice to be on the mountain. The hot tub is super large so plenty of room to spread out. Everything was awesome!

Relaxing Stay Near Vineyards and Skyline Drive

This is an excellent mountain cottage with privacy and beautiful fall foliage in October. The many windows helped us enjoy the changing colors of nature. It is super well equipped with everything you will need to relax during your stay. We wanted a place near wineries and the Skyline Drive and found those nearby and easy to get to. A fabulous book with tips from other people who had stayed there was incredibly useful and sitting on the dining table when we arrived. We will definitely return next year.

Another wonderful stay at Beavers Hill Cottage

This was our third time staying at the cottage as we attend a local conference. The home is very clean. The bedding and bath linens are comfortable and nice quality. Everything that is shown in the pictures are exactly how the home is. The area is peaceful and quiet. The hot tub makes for a relaxing evening after a long day exploring and conferencing. We will defiantly choose this home for a next trip to Warren Co.

Short but Sweet Stay

We came to town for a wedding but wanted a special place to stay in. Beavers Hill Cottage fit the bill. We really enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. There is a lovely deck, but we never had time to just sit out there. The kitchen is small but has everything you need for cooking/grilling. It is located really tucked away in the woods, so it takes a bit to get there, but it's worth it! We were able to explore the area a bit by going to Shenandoah National Park which was lovely (bring your national park pass if you have one). There are LOTS of wineries to visit. We especially enjoyed one called Glen Manor (bring your own snacks and sit outside)!

Beautiful Location!

Beaver Cottage is a very nice house on a stunningly beautiful property. The mountain setting was particularly impressive with the vibrant fall colors. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and the deck to watch the wildlife. A couple of small deer were frequent visitors. The house itself was perfect for cozy evenings. We cooked in for several meals and there were adequate pans and utensils. The host left a complimentary bottle of wine which was a very nice extra. My sisters and I would definitely return!
