This Northstar vacation rental home is located in the exclusive Big Springs neighborhood and helps define luxury living in the Northstar Ski Resort.

This custom six bedroom, four bath Tahoe Ski Rental spans three levels and includes a fabulous great room and large elegant kitchen that opens up into a newly added four seasons porch. Everything overlooks the private backyard area that has been professionally landscaped and in the summer months offers an expansive grassy area, perfect for kids. The main floor while it houses the majority of the common living space and formal dining room, also offers one bedroom with adjacent full bath, which is very convenient for those with any mobility concerns.
Two gas fireplaces throughout make this large vacation home still feel cozy and comfortable.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, including the spacious Primary suite with a private deck, TV, and spacious newly remodeled Primary bathroom complete with double vanity sinks and shower. Between the Primary and the two guest bedroom, guests will enjoy a quiet lounge area perfect for curling up with a good book, or just enjoying some quiet time away from the rest of the house.

The lower level of the home offers two additional bedrooms (a queen bedroom and one bunk room) and a gorgeous new bathroom. They all surround the casual family room with flat screen TV and sitting area. Guests can enjoy direct access to the back yard form this level as well.

Great Place for Large Family

We enjoyed an excellent week at Northstar and were very comfortable at Big Springs! The snow was a little late this year and since it was raining, we all (13 of us) spent a lot of time inside the cabin. The layout is great for several families to spread out. The cabin is very clean and in good condition. I'm putting this cabin at the top of the list for next year.

Fantastic house! We loved our stay here! We were 3 total families with 6 young children and there was plenty of room. Excellent location! The shuttle service is so convenient! The only minimal thing to mention is that the grassy backyard is not as large as it appears in the photos. Wasn’t a big deal for us but just FYI if that’s a huge selling point for you. Our kids enjoyed playing and exploring in the front yard the best

Perfect!!

Perfect week at Northstar - Lake Tahoe

This location was perfect for our group of 3 couples - plenty of space and loved the hottub and pool table for apres ski. The Northstar shuttle made it easy to get to the mountain and close drive to Truckee and other Lake Tahoe sites.

The home was "as advertised" and suited our family quite well. A couple of comments that would've improved our experience: Wifi was terrible, pillows were extremely thin, a note on coffee pot said "does not work" was never replaced, no detergent for laundry and garbage was completely full upon arrival. All fairly minor issues but should be addressed for next renter.

Great house for group travel

Back yard isn't as large as it seems in the picture, but that wasn't a problem. Our only complaint is that checkout was 10am, which made the morning feel rushed.

Great Home for Our Stay

We rented this home from the views on the internet page. It proved to be better than expected from those views. It was a 6 bedroom home outstandingly furnished and decorated. It will sleep 12, however our maximum was 8 with plenty of space and comfort. The home was in excellent condition with many interesting decorative items. The exterior is well maintained and a very nice grassy and tree area in the back. We were very pleased with this rental and would not hesitate to rent again if the need should arise.

Wonderful home in a perfect location. Perfect house for anyone with children. In between enjoying the area, the house had plenty of things for the kids to do. Just needed a little more direction on how to use the television and the patio doors out to the deck were hard to figure out how to lock. The kids found an extra front door key in the toy box which we left on the counter. Thank you for letting us make some wonderful memories!

Our stay at Big Springs at Northstar was absolutely fantastic! We had the perfect amount of space for our family reunion group! The kitchen had all of the cooking supplies we needed, and plenty of space for multiple people to come in and out while cooking meals. The yard was comfortable and shady, and the balconies were perfect. Our family had a lovely time on the balcony relaxing, grilling, and visiting with one another - we truly lost track of time due to being so comfortable. The bedrooms were cozy, the entire house and bathrooms were perfectly clean. The living room was spacious and had comfortable furniture. The location was easy to access and in a quiet beautiful neighborhood. Would absolutely without a doubt stay here again upon returning to Northstar with our group, and would recommend to anyone with a group looking for a place to stay.

we had a wonderful time and the house was well appointed. But there are two improvements that really needed attention 1) master bed was a queen while the room could easily accommodate a king. And even then, the master bed was sagging, very uncomfortable and needed to be replaced. (2) I think they need a different heat zone for the master bedroom. we had trouble reaching a satisfactory heat in the master bedroom, without overheating the first floor. But as they said, the house was very nice, except for those two issues. Gary

Dated home with no AC

The home was a good size for our group of 12, but buyer beware it is a dated home with no AC that has not been deep cleaned or attended to in a long time. Basement bathroom had mold in the shower and no light in the kids room. Bath mat in the main floor bathroom had a black stain on it (?also mold). Carpets and living room furniture were quite dirty and fans looked like they had never been cleaned. Kitchen appliances functioned poorly (upper oven didn’t heat appropriately, stove fan didn’t work). There was no trash receptacle on site and they charge for trash left in the house so we had to transport trash to the dumpsters. And the main and upper levels of the home were quite warm all afternoon/evening with 80 degree outdoor temps during the day. House definitely needs some TLC to sustain renters at this higher price point.

Wonderful house for large group

The 6bedrooms was perfect for our group! Loved the decks and the backyard for the kids. Location is brilliant—- close to the pool , lake and grocery store.

Quiet Mountain Retreat

This house is beautifully nestled in the woods. The rooms are spacious and each has a scenic view of the trees outside. All the fun was had in the great room with comfortable seating, tv, and a great sound system. The kitchen is spacious and generously provisioned but you do need to bring the basics food wise. We enjoyed the location away from all the Tahoe madness and it’s a short drive in either direction to Tahoe, Truckee, and our new favorite - Donner Lake!!!

House listing was misleading (e.g., no hot tub). Access communication was late. Instructions and amenities were inconsistent (printed in house vs. email). Fireplaces were hard to work and did not always work. Wi-Fi did not work. Assistance was very delayed - including one call that was returned >24h later and after we departed.

Great house, but not prepared properly

The house is spacious and basically a spectacular and well appointed unit. We were disappointed however, to find that the unit had not been properly prepared. The agent indicated that the late check in time of 4pm is required to allow a crew to verify the house was ready for occupancy and check to make sure all the appliances were operational. We found out about 6pm that the water system was not operational. No water at all and the pilot lights on the water heaters were not lit. We also found that neither of the gas fireplaces worked. The rental office closes at 6pm, but Luckily someone was still in the office at 6:20 and was able to arrange for a technician to come over to get things working by 8pm. From that point on, we had a very enjoyable stay.

And as happened last year, one of the rec cards was missing. A email to TahoeGetaway remedied both problems but should have been taken care of before we arrived. Especially since a big deal is made about losing the rec cards
