Le Petit Palais du Port is a charming cottage in the heart of the small bayside town of Portarlington along the Bellarine Peninsula. It is set in a pretty private courtyard within the lovely garden of the neighbouring house. The studio has a QS bed and stylish ensuite behind a Shoji screen sliding door. The kitchenette is well-equipped with a decent sized fridge (for bottles of local wine, cheeses, mussels, oysters, smoked salmon and more), Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, electric wok and Weber BBQ in the courtyard. There is a reverse cycle air-con for heating & cooling. There is free wi-fi. The lounge area has a smart TV with Netflix and retro Grant Featherstone 60’s lounge chairs… plus a piano for the musically inclined. Upon your stay, you will be greeted with a chilled bottle of Terindah sparkling wine, and chilled champagne glasses, in the fridge. You can even select between the Terindah Estate Methode Traditionnelle or Sparkling Pinot Noir. If you prefer still wine, there is also a choice of a Terindah Pinot Noir, Rose, Chardonnay or Pinot Gris. Plus, gourmet chocolates from Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie.

This petite palais was the prefect getaway for two. In such a compact space we had everything we needed including a very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. Even though this accommodation is on the host’s property, it was secluded and private and we felt very relaxed. Welcome wine and chocolate was also a lovely touch and communication was excellent.
Lovely location, secluded and reasonably quiet spot. Photos on Stayz however not 100% accurate re presentation. Older house, carport parking not very presentable. Studio courtyard weathered and not overly private or clean. Studio itself is lovely and cosy. A short stroll to some of Victoria’s most amazing water views. The host is lovely.
Janette was very welcoming and happy to pass on information about her town. The room was comfortable size for a couple with good amenities. The bottle of sparkling and block of chocolate we're a nice touch.
The accommodation was perfect for my husband and I. Close to shops and beachfront. Comfortable bed and everything we needed with some extra treats from the host. An overall enjoyable stay!
The accommodation was unusual in some respects, with drawers not containing what I thought. However, this is a very minor reservation overall.
I was unable to find the air con control, until Janette showed me.
The screen door separating the bed from the ensuite was a pleasant addition, mimicking a Japanese screen door
(which it isn't). For me, it was delightful.
Wonderful weekend away. We found the location easily and were not disappointed once we arrived. Beautiful private courtyard, off street parking provided and lovely clean facilities. Communication with owner was excellent. Easy walk to surrounds. We will definitely be back. Thank you!
A lovely cosy, quiet, private delightful studio space, with gorgeous lush gardens surrounding & lots of visiting birds.
Easy walking distance to Portarlington town & foreshore
