Williamstown - A Jewel in the West
A 5 minute walk to some great restaurants, local shopping strip, picturesque marina, historical landmarks, the Esplanade and back beach with train station around the corner.

My place is ideal for all types of visits: Business stays, holidays, or just taking time out. To use as a base to start and end your days. Just walking distance from most tourist musts.

Primarily my home, the apartment is situated on the first floor and has all the features of a home stay with host living on the premises. It is private and has a separate entrance.

The apartment that you are booking consists of a kitchenette, sitting room, full bathroom and either 1 or 2 bedrooms for guests to book, depending on their requirements. NO visitors permitted to enter the property for safety, security and Insurances reasons.

The space is peaceful and quiet, spacious with contemporary style rooms and comfortable accommodation.
The train station is a 2 minute walk, so you may hear it occasionally.
Possibly not suitable for persons with walking disabilities, as there is a full flight of stairs to enter and not suitable for entertaining as no visitors are permitted.

Perfect location and host

The flat has everything you could need and Emily is a friendly helpful host. The location is perfect. It’s just short walks to the shops, Gem Pier or the beach and the train station is literally round the corner. The surroundings for the apartment are like a little oasis. We can highly recommend it.

Lovely property which served our needs perfectly. The only down side was night trains are quite noisy and could be heard from one of the bedrooms A drop box check in would have been more convenient for us to check in later than the host was available.

Nice location in Willy

Place was as the listing, comfortable and beautiful (at least the one bedroom I had access to). The in-person check-in process and communication was difficult, and messed up with my holiday plan. I did not feel particularly welcomed as Emily kept insisting that the listing was her home. My friend (a local resident who introduced herself) was not allowed to help me carry my luggage inside.

Beautiful Accommodation in Williamstown

I have stayed in this property a couple of times now and it is absolutely wonderful! The location is amazing with a train station, supermarkets and many restaurants within a 10 minute walk. The host Emily is amazing and the property is always clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Fantastic property in a good location

Beautiful very spacious, clean, well appointed property. Two very classy double bedrooms. Spacious clean bathroom with individual sinks. A very nice seating area outside looking over the garden. We loved our stay.

The bed was very comfortable. Close to everything, especially the train. We made it everywhere we wanted to go. If we make it back to Australia, we would certainly try to book this again.

Great Accommodation in Williamstown

This was the third time I have stayed at the property and it is always amazing! The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and Emily is a wonderful host. The check in and check out process is very easy and always runs smoothly. The property is in a great location, in walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafes and parks and a very quick walk to the train station.

A nice play to stay

The host was wonderful and met us at the property to check in. Close to all amenities (shops, pub/hotel etc). We stayed here as we were going to the F1 and this was a perfect location. Close to ferry and transport. Nice, quiet neighbourhood too. Cleanliness of the property was fantastic with all towels, linen, personal care items, toast, coffee etc all provided. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend the property to others. Thank you to the host for doing an amazing job :)

Thanks for a good night accomodation close to restaurants and places to walk. Your house and everything that we needed for a night getaway. We appreciated the little extras although we did not use them. But what we did love was the water pressure in the shower. That was amazing!! Friendly host who makes you feel very welcome thanks Emily

extremely negative experience!!

the host had booked solar panel installation on the roof for the days of my stay, I had no privacy due to the trade workers outside my windows and the noise was unbearable. Also, this host showed up in my living space without coordinating with me in advance, later claiming that if I wanted privacy I should have pulled down the blinds (and blocked all the natural light.) You're paying a lot of money for your own space, your quiet, your privacy, but it feels like a room in someone elses house where you have no boundaries and you're always being watched. The peak was when the host kicked me out and threatened to call the police (!) if I didn't evacuate the property immediately, not even giving me time to use the wifi to book an alternative room for that night because I had bumped into a friend on the main street that morning and invited her over for a 15 minute cup of tea in daytime, without calling the host to ask for permission, it felt like like a teenager and their over paranoid parent! yes there was a sign of no visitors in the entrance but a person should use decency and common sense and not act in such a paranoid and brutal way. people are not robots.I highly recommend to avoid this property!! I had approached the host for a refund but so far haven't recieved one.

Good value. Suits quiet earlybirds

Very clean & well laid out. Fairly well located if you don't mind occasional trains passing. It wasn't loud, didn't bother us. Bed very firm. Seemed good quality & most people would probably find it comfortable, but firm beds don't suit me. I woke with migraine each day. Great pillows! Shower is awesome & the bath (which we didn't use) looked amazing, big & deep. Nice toiletries supplied but too fragrant for me (florals trigger migraine). The fridge is tiny, freezer part so narrow a 1 Litre tub of icecream won't go into it. We decanted icecream into a small container to fit. But it completely melted overnight because the freezer doesn't get cold enough. Also needed extension lead & double adapter to use laptop & charge phones. No accessible points in bedrms, or near chairs/couch. Great TV, but didn't feel we could enjoy it after 9pm (see below). COMUNICATION: Host was miffed that we came later than planned. Fair enough. But I messaged when we were finally leaving, that G'Maps ETA was 8:50pm & to contact my mobile if any issue. Check-in closes at 9pm. Arrived 8:55 due to many road/lane closures en route. I accept that I seemed unreliable with the ETA changes, & cutting it fine. Still suprised to get there BEFORE check in "close", to find host was already in bed, hadn't read my message, yet had sent one AFTER mine, based on the prior message. This property is for people a lot more organised than me (ADHD) & my mum (mid 80s, has dementia).

Why they chose this property

This stylish apartment was recently renovated and everything is sparkling clean, spacious and very comfortable. This amazing location is only walking distance to most activities in beautiful Williamstown, close to shops, restaurants, the marina, historical sites, the Botanical gardens, Willimiamstown Hospital, craft and farmers markets the ferry across to the CBD and a choice of 3 very close train stations to get visitors where ever they want to go. Nothing is to far away.

We are only a short distance form some great tourist attractions such as:
Snorkeling at Point Jellibrand, Ghost tours around the Old Port of Williamstown.
The Werribee Wild Life Zoo, Werribee Mansion, Science Worx, art galleries, live theater, top retail outlets in Melbourne and Docklands. There are lots of great pubs in Williamstown or venture a little further to Brunswick, Collingwood and Port Melbourne, whereby the the Ferry to Tasmania is also located. With easy access to all the major arterial routes.

What makes this property unique

My home was designed by an architect but was built by an owner builder in 1980. It has lots of bricks and timber inside and has some very quirky angles and features makes it quite unique and interesting.

The grounds are somewhat large for Williamstown as there are lots of small miners cottages that make up the local landscape. All of these feature I fell in love with when I purchased the property about 10 years ago, and although I have renovated, I have managed to keep most of the house 's originality and features.

It's central location also makes it unique, as most places are accessible on foot or if venturing a little further, either the train or local bus will get you there.
