This was our second time staying in this house for vacation and once again it was such a great experience. We absolutely love the proximity to the beach, the loft space for our children, and that it feels like home. On our first night we opted to cook in and it was perfect-we had all the necessary kitchen appliances and it was a great start to our stay. We have truly fallen in love with all Empire has to offer and this vacation house is no exception. It was so easy to communicate with the owner and we are already planning our stay for next year!

Quiet end of season visit to one of my favorite places to hike. Property well maintained and perfect location. Beach walks, hikes and sunsets everyday. Owner was visiting for part of my stay and was delightful. He cares about this place.

Nice Couple Getaway

My husband and I enjoyed this property it is very close to Lake Michigan in the very cute Village of Empire. Would recommend and hope to be back for future visits.

We enjoyed our short stay very much. Weather was too cold for swimming but there are very nice hikes nearby and you can see the waves on the beach from the property. On the last day we have a very nice beach walk. The owner was very responsive to our questions about the WiFi. Highly recommend!

Perfect Spot For Shore Lovers

This property is perfect for families that love the Michigan shore! Just a quick one minute easy walk and you can be at the shore playing, soaking up the sun or hunting for great rocks. It’s so convenient to everything.

The location is excellent to access the quaint downtown and beach. The home was comfortable/cozy for our stay w 6 adults. Beds are comfortable too. You are sharing the outdoor ammenities with another VRBO family. Our experience was positive.

The Perfect Place for an Empire Vacation

Empire has been my family's vacation Happy Place for 26 years, so staying this close to our favorite beach was perfect. This home was clean and comfortable. The Master bedroom had a fantastic view of South Bar Lake. We already booked our stay with this host for 2024!

Great stay

We had a great time here! The check in process was seamless & contact with the property owner was easy. We loved how close it was to the beach & walked down nearly every morning and night of our stay. While still too chilly for a full beach day, the access was great. The home was clean & a great spot for our group. Keep in mind there is only one bedroom with a door, so privacy is at a premium.

Trip to lake michigan

Had a great time. Mother Nature didn’t really cooperate. Loved the location close to the beach, area places around to visit. Kids had fun riding bikes, climbing dunes, and playing on the beach. Thanks for allowing us to spend time in this location.

A little piece of heaven

This property is in the best location. 5 minutes from beach and beautiful backyard sunsets. The house itself is very roomy. Enough space for 6 adults. We enjoyed kayaking, hiking, parasailing (traverse city) walking the beach and having a sunset campfire on the beach with smores. Great week. We would stay again.
