There is a golf course in nearby Tuftonboro, a Science Center in Holderness, and quaint country villages all within easy reach.

Squam Lake is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, waterskiing, paddle boarding, sailing and fishing. A wealth of coves and islands can be explored by kayak. For hikers, the Squam Range, White mountains and Presidential Range offer trails ranging from 30 minutes to all-day and overnight excursions. About the host

Hosted by Juliette Carpentier

Host profile image
I have been coming up to Squam every summer since I was a few months old, and this is the case of my siblings, my mother and all my numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. There has been a Pratt presence on Brown Point Road since 1905, and each generation is as committed as the past one to continue to build roots in this stunning area of the world.
We tend to all come up for the month of August during which time we have many family reunions and each successive generation gets to run wild and reconnect with each other and nature.
We all love the outdoor living we can enjoy at this time. Swim, ski, kayak, paddle board, sail, play tennis, climb, ramble and the rest are our daily entertainment. Not to mention the many picnics, barbecues and dinner parties that we organise with friends and family.
Our time at West Acres is the real highlight of our year and each one of my siblings and myself choose to spend the month of August on the lake and leave our European homes behind in favour of our dream place on Squam.

What makes this property unique

West Acres combines both modern amenities with an old style, vintage camp feel. A perfect balance of functional and aesthetic.
