Sonoran Sky 1405 Afterdune Delight Cozy Oceanfront

Welcome to our little home away from home! Located on the 14th floor (highest below Penthouse) of the luxurious Sonoran Sky Resort, you will experience the ultimate in comfort and relaxation in this one-bedroom unit decorated with warm, dark colors accented with colorful Mexican style flair. The perfect size for up to four guests, you'll find everything you need to feel like you're at home at the beach. There is a king-size bed in the master bedroom and a queen-size sleeper sofa, with a comfortable memory foam mattress, in the living room. Feel free to enjoy a few of our DVDs on either of the flat-screen televisions in the living room or bedroom, play a few of the games we've provided for your amusement, or listen to your favorite music on the Bluetooth speaker. For the kids (or the young at heart), there are even a few boogie boards to ride the waves! The kitchen is equipped with granite countertops and backsplash and all stainless steel appliances. We've stocked it with everything you should need to make your favorite meal. For extended stays, there is a washer and dryer. There is also a DEDICATED HIGH-SPEED internet connection for this unit (free resort connection is slow and unreliable). Bring your binoculars to watch the whales (Jan-Apr) and the dolphins from the patio, or just listen to the soothing sounds of the Sea of Cortez. Also, don't miss the original vibrant paintings hand-painted by the owner!
NOTE: The balcony BBQ do not work, there is a designated area on the 3rd floor for the use of charcoal grills and playground for small children. (Charcoal is not included, for sale at convenience store).

Really cute condo, I loved all the decor and the art that was painted by the owner. Only thing that was a tad gross was finding a large toenail clipping on the floor. Which I'm assuming was just missed by cleaning. Not a huge deal at all. Maybe for future, the shower could use a non slip matt or something because it was pretty slippery...probably had nothing to do with Tecates and tequila lol. Had an amazing stay and will return again. Love the swim up bar staff. Very attentive and good at what they do!

Beautiful view, spacious, clean at check in but no cleaning service for the entire 6 nights. Deck furniture old and rickety and slider door to deck was not able to be locked. Reported on day 1 but not fixed.

Overall not bad

Our overall stay was fine. The unit was clean and decorated nicely. We only stayed for 2 days so we did not utilize the kitchen for cooking, however it seemed very well stocked. The property was well kept and the pool was great too! The downside: the bedroom room is right next to the elevator, the walls/windows/doors are paper thin and it gets LOUD. At one point around 2am a group of very loud people got off the elevator and it sounded like they were inside of our room. I would definitely bring earplugs! Also, the mattress and pillows were truly awful and I would highly recommend to get them replaced, ASAP.

Amazing view!

Check in was a breeze. The location and condo were great. There were a few things about the condo that I don't think the owners know about. The bed had dirty sheets, they smelled like old sweat and there was sand in the bed. The toilet roll holder was in need of repair and there was a chip in the tile floor in front of the toilet. Again these are management issues and will probably never happen again. BTW the staff there rocks. Very helpful and friendly. The unit is lovely and the view is amazing. We only left the property once to do a fishing charter on Ecsta-Sea (4804596926/6381094130) with captn. Gabby. Wow that rocked too! It has everything you need and so did the condo. We 60 year old ladies enjoyed our time relaxing at the beach.

Just a bit of refresh needed. Otherwise nice.

Check in was easy. The condo is clean and cute. However, it needs to be refreshed a bit. The king bed is comfortable, however the sheets were horrible, one flat for the bottom sheet, which does not stay in place. The pillows were shabby, thankfully I brought one, my husband who rarely complains about anything regretted that he did not bring one. It was knotty uncomfortable. The entire bedding should be updated. The kitchen, chipped dishes, 3 wine glasses total 1- glass, one plastic, and a tiny one. Not much....Other than that the dish ware was fine. The things I'm mentioning really don't cost much. Yes, the condo is nice, the art is nice, the view is great. Bring your pillows, blankets, soap, shampoo, etc. This place is not stocked like others we have stayed at. Furniture nice. Patio nice. On the whole we enjoyed our visit.

5 hour delay on 2 successive days waiting on Circuit breaker repair. Water was turned off 1 day. 1 wash cloth provided for entire 4 day stay for 2 persons.I did not come to wash clothes.
