TURTLE CRAWL Barrier Dunes 191 enjoys a GULF VIEW and is mere steps to the powdery white sands. This end unit townhome has upscale finishes like granite countertops, Smart TVs, highspeed wifi internet and Bluetooth speakers with USB ports in each bedroom. It also boasts extra beds for the little ones with a daybed and trundle in the Master King bedroom suite and a Twin over Queen bed in the separate Queen bedroom.

The ground floor begins the pampering with space for at least two vehicles in your own carport; a stocked beach closet with 4 beach chairs, beach cart, cooler, crab net, crab bucket (helpful for disposing of cooled remnants of beach fires), boogie board and sand toys; an Enclosed shower with hot/cold water; water hose; and the only private Tiki Bar area in the community to enjoy with your crew when not on the beach. Check out the cute polywood furniture for dining and space to hang a hammock to enjoy the afternoon breeze. The Foyer entrance has hooks and space to kick off your shoes before going up to the main level of the home.

The main level has your space to relax in the living area with large Smart TV and electric fireplace for extra ambiance. The dining space includes a table and breakfast bar. The well-stocked kitchen has all you need to enjoy your own cooking and has upgraded stainless steel appliances. The spacious Deck holds the gas grill and table and chairs for outdoor dining on this main level. The separate full bath is convenient for guests and the Queen bedroom enjoys a Twin over Queen bed, Smart TV, ample storage and a private balcony.

The King Master Suite encompasses the entire top floor. This lovely space has the best spot for sunsets at the home on the private master deck, large walk in closet, double sink vanity, separate upscale shower and garden tub, don't forget the daybed and trundle for the littles and the laundry room with full size washer, dryer and laundry detergent included.

This is a gated community with beach access that is very close. Everything was very clean. Even though we had a red or purple flag most of our stay it was still worth every penny. We will definitely be back. ❤️

Have to drink wine at the beach!

Very relaxing and laid back. It’s not over crowed and most people who stay here are super nice. Our townhouse didn’t have wine glasses or a cutting board which we discovered the first night we were there. I sent an email to the management company to let them know ( for future renters) and they delivered the glasses and cutting board the next morning! We couldn’t have had a better experience!

Christmas on the Cape

We started our stay on Christmas Day 2022 during the hard freeze in FL. Property owners were great and easy to reach. The condo has fantastic views of the gulf from the master balcony and just steps away from the beach. The pup loved her beach walks and lounging on the decks keeping an eye on all the activities. We obtained a 3 day fishing license and caught a couple fish on one of the calm water days from the beach. There is also a seafood market near by with fresh fish and yummy gumbo! We loved this location and will be back again!

Turtle Crawl was great!

Our family booked this condo last minute for a quick holiday weekend getaway -Veteran's Day and are so thankful it was available! The beach was a very short walk as the condo is the third or fourth building from the beach. Our grandsons enjoyed the beach and the pools that were also located within walking distance as well. The condo was cute, comfy and had all the household necessities in the kitchen. Our stay was very short so we didn’t cook any big meals. Location was perfect for us. The State Park entrance was right around the corner and we enjoyed exploring one morning there. We stopped in Port St Joe and shopped and ate lunch. Cute little town with boutiques and eateries etc. we would stay here again in the future.

I can not say enough good things about this property...from location, to cleanliness, to how well appointed the villa is. Our favorite things about Turtle Crawl were the balconies & views!, the short walk to the beach, the provided items in the beach closet (especially the chairs and beach cart), the outdoor shower with hot water (for super easy pet cleaning after a day romping in the sand), and the credit that came with the reservation to rent bikes. The villa is not lacking in anything at all. And Devi...SO QUICK to respond to questions and help us with finding items we couldn't find (due to our lack of looking, not that items weren't there). It was the perfect place to end 2024 (we had a NYE fire on the beach!!!) and hope to return!

We will absolutely be back! This home provided everything we needed to just relax and enjoy the beach. Wendy emailed links to her amenities (which are wonderful) and everything was just as described. Being from a place that we don't have beach chairs it was nice not to have to invest in those or pack a bunch of extra things when we had a full car. Barrier Dunes was a great community and we enjoyed both the pools and tennis courts and feeding the turtles in the ponds. Met a lot of wonderful folks staying there too. It was just what the doctor ordered! Relaxing and fun! We enjoyed a horseback ride on the beach, beautiful sunsets, some surf fishing, great seafood and each other! Highly recommend Wendy and Cape Escape Vacation Rentals! We look forward to being back again soon!

Love the beach and loved Turtle Crawl. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed a wonderful week with amazing weather at Cape San Blas! Turtle Crawl was better than expected...VERY clean and had everything we could expect and more. The beach closet had a great beach cart and beach chairs (saved buying them and packing them) and a cooler (and sand toys if you need them). We cooked many of our meals in and the kitchen was great...had everything we needed and a gas grill on the back deck. Really liked the St. Joe Seafood Company right down the street! It's right next door to the Trading Post which carries EVERYTHING else you need. If you're there, get the donuts made fresh each morning. Amazing! We really enjoy the tall lifeguard chairs on the master bedroom deck...enjoyed great sunsets when we didn't walk just a few steps down to the beach. The mattress was very comfortable and the sheets were great! The State Park is right there and we went on many long walks. There is the Hammock Trail and a trail that runs along the bay that our dog could enjoy with us. Our pup was worn out from that and walks on the beach ... love the fact that the beach and area is dog-friendly (yet VERY clean). We also got to enjoy a bonfire on the beach after sunset one evening! Awesome. Next trip we plan to enjoy a horseback ride on the beach, the see through canoes in the bay and also bring our bikes as there is a bike path that runs about 10 miles of the Cape (and it's flat, which is a bonus). Love the beach and loved Turtle Crawl. We will definitely be back!

Turtle Crawl in Barrier Dunes - Cape San Blas!

First, in the rating I meant to give 5 stars, it wont let me chang to excellent (technophobe) So, wow...where to start - how to begin...Well, the Cape and Turtle Crawl are our second home in paradise. Don't believe me? Go and see! The amenities are all there and all u have to do is settle in, relax, and enjoy. You are at your destination - no need to leave except to stock up on food at Piggly Wiggly, go to eat and party at Indian Pass, and hear great music at Scallop Cove. When u get back you have the perfect home with exceptional views to take you back to the good old days of "beaching". Steps away is the Cape, and its glorious white sandy coastline and emerald green waters. No vendors to distract, no high rises, just raw nature at her finest. It has the feel of an island all to yourself. We have been going for 13 years and another reason is it is pet friendly. (Our dog is the unofficial Mayor of The Cape, just saying!) Anyway, as we Boomers say, Try it, you'll like it." 😊 I could ramble on for hours about this place, but I will end with it is a truly unique experience. Bonfires permitted at night too, and as it is in a gated community there are no worries about safety. Wendy has thought of everything to make it comfy and convenient (thanks, darling!) and Mother Nature provides the rest. In closing, just do it! Go back to the good old days in Turtle Crawl at the Cape! You will be as crazy about it as we are, I promise!

Family visit to the Cape

Wonderful stay! As always, Wendy had it all taken care of for us and all we had to do is relax. i now consider myself to be a frequent visitor to the cape and I actually liked this Turtle Crawl residence best of all the others I have been in- clean and very well decorated. We had our dog with us as usual, and found the pet sheets and towels to be very helpful since our week away got extremely cool for him, but we still managed to have fun on the beach and in the bay! There were so many dolphins this time up and down the gulf front and it felt like they were interacting with us on the beach sometimes! What a beautiful getaway for families and couples and dogs! Wendy did a great job taking care ofnour needs, even after I messed up our initial date of arrival: fair and consistent service always! Thanks for a great week!

Excellent Rental, Amenities and Service! Thoroughly Enjoyed Our Stay

We enjoyed our trip to Cape San Blas...from booking the trip to not having to buy beach chairs or pack too much. When we booked we were hoping it wasn't too good to be true, but when we arrived at Turtle Crawl, we were not disappointed. It exceeded our expectations! It was very clean and had everything that was promised and a few things we didn't expect! We travel a lot and this was one of the best vacation rentals we have enjoyed on our trips! The beach was just off our back deck down a boardwalk and the beach cart that was provided held everything, including the beach chairs which made it so easy! Loved watching the sunset from the back deck right off the master bedroom. The tall, lifeguard like chairs were perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and the sunset. If we ate in, we would eat and then watch it from the beach. The kitchen was perfect for when we chose to eat in and had everything and the grill on the back deck was just an added bonus. Enjoyed many great meals while we were there. Great area restaurants, including Coneheads, which we could walk too for lunch or dinner. Great variety from burgers to seafood to salad! Thank you to Wendy for answering all of our questions before we arrived (we had a lot as we had not been here before). Any questions we had once we arrived we found in the great guest information book that was at the home when we arrived. We are sorry we didn't discover this area before, but so glad we have now! We are already planning our next trip back and will absolutely book Turtle Crawl and recommend it and Wendy to our friends!

My wife, our dog, and I want to tell you how enjoyable our stay in your Unit 191 in December was. When we arrived, we found the unit, and everything in it, to be very clean. The unit was very well supplied with virtually anything a vacationer could need or want. The beach was a short walk away and was also clean and wide. We walked twice each day for at least an hour. Our dog loved it, but refused to go into the ocean or even get his feet wet. The time we spent in Unit 191 was the perfect relaxation for us and we hope to return next December.

Best place to "Escape" with property management experts!

Thanks, Wendy - as repeat customers, we knew you were efficient and proactive. Turtle Crawl was a wonderful condo - well stocked including beach chairs and a beach cart! We enjoyed cooking in the condo as well as beach treats as Dockside Café (who allowed our dog to join us) in St. Joe and Indian Creek Raw Bar just down the road. We will be back bringing our friends!!
