Modern Oceanfront Luxury in the Unspoilt Beauty of the Original Bali

Architecturally designed in Aotearoa New Zealand and Bali , this luxury retreat is a spacious 250 m2, surrounded by 800 m2 of tropical landscaping and offering spectacular views of the ocean.

Designed and furnished in an eclectic international contemporary style, where gardens and lodgings blend into the natural topography and foliage. We provide the services of our own resident chef included in our rates, who can arrange a menu with you, purchase ingredients on your behalf and prepare all your meals; giving you the opportunity to take in the breath taking views, take a stroll down to the beach, relax and enjoy. We can also arrange for a range of services to come to you including yoga and spa therapists, to ensure the most indulgent of stays.

Villa Largo offers its own 15m private infinity edge lap pool, fans and air conditioning in all shared areas and bedrooms, original artworks, Harmon Kardon stereo and cable TV , home bar, fully equipped kitchen and a large sun terrace with panoramic beach and ocean views.

Each of our four king sized en-suite bedrooms have private roof terraces with handcrafted pergolas for shade. The ocean can be seen and heard from every bedroom and two of our rooms have louvered joinery, providing outdoor showering with privacy in mind

Located in the Umeanyar in the north of Bali, within easy walking distance of the beach we are blessed with views of the beach and ocean as well as vineyards and rice paddy fields. Well known as a destination for meditation, yoga and other spiritual wellness, the villa offers a variety of holiday experiences for the most discerning of travellers.

The north of Bali is a renowned holiday destination offering dolphin watching, fishing, scenic cruising, diving, snorkelling, hiking, water temples, waterfalls, romantic picnics on the beach are but some of the many options available from Villa Largo.

Fantastic days

We were for 16 days in Villa Largo . And have enjoyed every day. The pool was beautiful. The villa was huge and there was everything you need . To the beach it was a 2 minute walk. The beach was deserted and the water glass clear. There was also a small hotel with restaurant. The villa is located in the jungle you hear only birds and sea waves. For to Lovina you need the driver . You can also have food delivered . The staff is so nice. Jayanti is an incredibly good cook and a very special person. We are glad that we got to know her. As well as Putu the gardener and Koming the security guard. Putu the driver is also great and always in a good mood. The only negative point is that outside on the small terrace the chairs are so uncomfortable that you can hardly sit on them. Just as the incredibly great terrace on the 2nd floor are wooden stools. Not meant for long sitting . You had to then sit inside in the dining room . Or on the sunbeds. But since we often had rain in the evenings this was not possible because there was hardly any roofing outside . Otherwise everything was top also very clean.

Thanks a lot for the wonderful time! This is a exceptionally beautiful and new villa with particularly friendly first class staff!! The spacious villa (is located in an elevated position with sea view. Great and big pool! Our children loved it. Especially I want to mention the great team who take care of us during our 6 days stay. 1. The owners Debby and Matt and local villa manager Dyna, due to the great planning and clear and informativ communication all the time. 2. Jayanti - cook and housekeeper. The villa was always very clean and we missed nothing. Breakfast and lunch was great, exactly as we wished. Dinner was outstanding. We asked Jayanti to surprise us every evening with a new local dinner. We felt like in a first class restaurant, it was so incredible good. Our 11y and 14y old children learned to love the Indonesian cuisine. Thank you very much! 3. Putu - the Driver. He picked us up at the airport and accompanied us during our entire 3 week stay in Bali. We always felt very safe. The streets are so small and often in bad condition and the traffic with all the scooters is crazy, but Putu drives the car so calm and relaxed in every situation. He helped us very much to plan exiting daytours all over the island and edjucated us with a lot of local background information. We really learned about Bali. He organized so many things (e.g. negotiate shipping rate for local art to Germany etc.) He is a friend now, also after dropping us up at the airport on our last day. Thanks! 4. Putu - garden and pool man and Komang Mui - security (overnight). Thanks a lot. We felt very safe all the time and the garden and pool was always in best condition. Wir hatten im Vorfeld der Buchung einige Fragen an die Besitzer, welche immer zeitnah und umfassend beantwortet wurden. Dabei stellten wir fest, dass wie die Managerin vor Ort bereits von einem Besuch eines anderen Hauses her kannten. Somit stand einer Buchung nichts mehr im Wege und alles verlief dann wie erwartet. Sämtliche Transfers und Ausflüge verliefen pünktlich und reibungslos, wobei uns der Fahrer immer wieder durch seine Ortskenntnisse zu Lokalitäten und Geschäften brachte, die wohl in keinem Reiseführer erfasst wurden. Für die Haushälterin kann man die Besitzer nur beglückwünschen. Wie auf Bali gewöhnlich, geschah Hausreinigung und Zubereitung der Mahlzeiten immer für die Gäste so unauffällig wie möglich. Dabei lernten wir die indonesische Küche immer tiefer kennen. Auch wenn wir uns das eine oder andere Gericht mehrmals wünschten, wurden wir immer durch perfekte und köstliche Variationen überrascht. Hier wird wirklich noch mit traditionell und mit Hingabe gekocht! Sowohl der Gärtner als auch der Wachmann, der während der Nacht vor Ort ist, sind sehr zuvorkommend und konnten uns im Zuge vieler netter kleiner Gespräche auch immer wieder lokale und kulturelle Informationen erfahren. Über das Haus selbst, seine Lage und Ausstattung möchte ich gar nicht viel berichten. Es gilt nur zu vermerken, dass die Beschreibungen durch die Besitzer voll und ganz den Tatsachen entsprechen. Hierzu möchte ich abschließend die Dachterrasse im Obergeschoss hervorheben. Wir konnten es jeden Abend nicht erwarten, von dort aus den Ausblick auf das von kleinen wechselnd beleuchteten Fischerbooten am Meer und den phantastischen Blick auf den Sternenhimmel zu genießen.

We love to travel and immerse ourselves in local culture. In winter we are on the mountains and in summer the ocean swimming, snorkeling, diving or windsurfing.

Why they chose this property

Umeanyar is really very special.We love it here and decided to build our home here as soon as we came to the community.
The real Bali, there are rice paddies, vineyards, black sand beaches defining the landscape and a lovely, welcoming community of local Balinese villagers, fishermen and farmers.
Only 20 minutes from Lovina and yet you feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle. There is snorkeling, diving and fishing off the beach in front of the villa. There is yoga and meditation a few minutes up the road. And whilst there is an in house chef, if you want a change, there's the choice of two resorts both with bar and restaurant just metres away.
We love that within an hour in any direction you hit something of perfection be it nature, diving, waterfall, temples.
