We went here with the kids and dogs and it was perfect. The only thing was that the couches were pretty gross but I brought blankets to put over top. The kids loved all the games, we loved the hot tub. It was so much fun!!
This rental was great for our family of 6. The neighborhood was quiet and there was enough snow for our family to be able to play in the street. The two rooms with tv's were super nice because the kids were able to enjoy their shows while my wife and I got to enjoy ours. The spa was also set to the perfect temp. The pool room was a lot of fun too! We love to cook and this kitchen had plenty of space for that! Another great take away from this rental is the lake is just a street away and a park just around the corner.
Everything was great and well setup. The couches as well as some of the other furniture had a lot of stains and bird feathers. The bathtubs were very old and stained.
The house was perfect. Had all the necessities, was clean and perfect. Kids enjoyed the variety of games in the cabinet as well as the shuffleboard, air hokey, Foosball, and pool table. Location of house was perfect. Close walk/bike ride to the park and lake. Close to the town & shops. The town had an early Halloween event drive through giveaway for the kids. Everyone we encountered was happy, friendly and helpful. We would love to make another trip out in the near future.
Enjoyed our stay here with friends and our dogs! We love this neighborhood and would stay again if they change the bathtubs. Everything seems updated nicely but as others stated, the tubs were pretty bad. I did buy bath mats to bring because of prior reviews. Kitchen was very nice, rooms were nice, beds extremely comfy, games were fun, hot tub was lovely. Couches were nice and comfy. Dishwasher didn’t dry so maybe think to bring dish towels as we soaked the one that was provided. BBV is very clear that they offer some starter items like paper towels, TP, shampoo, so you should bring your own items in that respect! I hope to return here in the future.
It’s managed by Big Bear Vacations property management, so they’re bound by their employer, rather than dealing directly with an owner. So no late checkout (even though it wasn’t booked for days), unless you fork out $60+tax for 1pm checkout rather than 10am. NO THANKS.
Other than that, the house is stocked with game tables (pool, foosball, air hockey, shuffleboard tables, and a closet full of board games.
Gas grill worked well once I reset the gas regulator and jacuzzi was nice. The maintenance guy was great in fixing minor things and making sure we had all we needed working.
Bed mattress was memory foam and comfy. The sofas seemed a bit old and worn out. Kitchen was awesome and very well stocked with all the utensils I needed to cook, bake, etc.

Expected More
First off, the house is great for groups of friends/family and has so many activities/games to be played in the home. The kitchen is also large and good for cooking. However, the house was missing items such as a sponge, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher soap, etc. When I contacted the management company, I was informed I would have to come back to the management office for those items instead of someone delivering items that should have been present at the house upon check-in. The photos of the house also make it look a little nicer than it is in person. Couches have definitely been used a lot...
The hot tub was pretty murky, so we didn't end up using it. Would be nice if they checked the water between guests to ensure it is clean.
In person the people working for the management company were very nice. But the communication was not great. Between the missing items and the fact that you had to go to a different location to check-in, just added stress to the weekend. Also, I stupidly left something of great value behind at the property and called management to see if they could send someone to locate it and arrange for its return (was more than willing to pay for its return). However, I was told that they would get to it at their leisure and I might not hear back from them for a few days, which is exactly what happened. Overall, it just lacked the personal feel and touches of vacation rentals that are not managed by a large company and instead by the owners or individual property managers.
Overall, this house is great. It's kind of old and dated but very comfortable. The living areas are very spacious. There are 2 living rooms that are additions to the original house and they stayed pretty cold no matter how warm the rest of the house was. The master bedroom is a good size - the other 2 BRs are rather small and the beds take up most of the space. We really enjoyed the "play equipment" (pool table, foosball, etc). The kitchen is very well equipped but no consumable amenities are supplied, like aluminum foil, plastic wrap etc. so bring your own.
Fun place to stay for a birthday party. House was huge and the hot tub was nice. Only downside was it was kind of dirty. Both couches had dog hairs all over them. Overall though it was great
We enjoyed our stay, property appears as listed, beds were very comfotable and our son enjoyed the amenities. Thanks

Not like the pictures
Maybe take new pictures and put them up without filters. Not worth the price. It was fun. We had to put sheets on the couches because of how dirty they were. New pictures without filters. Stop scamming.
It was great. The activities in the home were great.

Nice house but needs updates
We had a nice visit, enjoying the space the house offered as well as the nice neighborhood and proximity to parks and the lake. But we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the house (the bathrooms reeeallly needed to be cleaned really well and ideally updated). Also, the floors throughout the house and backyard were very uneven and made it difficult for my elderly father to comfortably navigate around.
Had a wonderful stay at this home. Have two boys 6 and 8 and there was so much fun stuff at the home to do for them. Fooseball, pool table, shuffle board, air hockey, and a bunch of games to play too! There were two living room areas plus a bonus room so we had plenty of space to spread out. The home is also clean and well stocked. Location was also key for a summer getaway as we were minutes from the lake by walking. Will def be staying here again soon!
We loved the area, home, and rental company. We will definitely be renting this home again. It was perfect for our family. There were a lot of games it was located close to town and the home was well stocked. When we first arrived the heater in the family room wasn’t working. We called the office and they sent someone out within 10 minutes.

Beautiful property!
The propane tank to the bbq was left open from previous stay, so we had to refil the propane to use the bbq, because the spare was also empty. Other than that everything was amazing! The property was absolutely gorgeous! Very spacious!!

Great cabin, fun place if you're staying in, and close to everything if you're going out as well!
The house is great, has everything you need for a fun time on the mountain, or even for just staying in.
The barbecue grill in the back was ideal when we had a power outage for a few hours. We did have to call the main office to get a refill on the propane tank as it was low to start. It came after a few hours, so I think it would be a good idea to have the propane tank filled, or a full backup one next to it just in case. There are a few board games and puzzles there as well, having these along with the foosball and pool table were helpful to keep everyone entertained during the power outage as well. The two fireplaces were great to have, especially with the power outage. In the lower living room with the foosball table, it does not have central area connected with the rest of the house, but the two portable heaters and fireplace did more than enough to keep us warm in that room.
There are plenty of kitchen appliances for you to use. There are a lot of TV options as well, such as netflix and spectrum. There was also an XBOX we could have played with as well, but the kids brought their own things to plug and play with, which was easy to set up. A nice sound bar connected with the TV as well.
Our only two real complaints with the house were the couches were filled with dog hair, so we had to find ways to get all of that off so it wouldn't be all over our guests clothes when they sat down on it. And last, we wanted to use the hot tub but it had a very cloudy green color to it, and it didn't look like it had been cleaned after a few visits. I can understand not cleaning it after every visit, but it does need some maintaining for guests to use.
Other than that, the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. The house is very close to everything, grocery stores, ski resorts, pretty much any where you'd go while you're visiting Big Bear. Overall, a great cabin.
