There is parking space for three cars in the driveway. In addition to the spectacular view, the home offers quick and easy access to EMU and JMU in minutes. There are grocery stores conveniently located near-by and delicious food within walking distance, including Bowl of Good and La Morena's. The Blue Ridge Mountains to the east and the George Washington National Forest to the the west. Both areas are renown for skiing, hiking and biking trails, and dramatic foliage in the fall. We are also about fifteen miles from Massanuttan Ski Resort and Water Park. The area around Harrisonburg hosts a number of music festivals, including Red Wing Roots Festival, Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival, and the Shenandoah Music Festival. The town has a quiet small town charm with impressive public parks and an Annual Chocolate Walk in addition to other festive events throughout the year. And the splendid American Shakespeare Blackfriars Playhouse is a mere thirty minutes away in Staunton, Virginia. Their apartment is separate from the house but they park in the garage sometimes so please avoid parking them in.

We were in town for a weekend event and the house was a great clean and simple home. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and easy to find supplies in bathrooms and closets. The home felt cozy and the front porch was a great spot for morning coffee and evening sits.
We enjoyed our stay! Great communication. We liked how the living room area and kitchen is a very open space for gathering. It had a beautiful view of the mountains, and was close to JMU campus and downtown Harrisonburg.
We had a fantastic stay and the house exceeded our expectations! It was incredibly comfortable, and the mattresses were wonderful — nice and firm, which is exactly what we like. We brought in dinner our first night and breakfast for the morning, and really enjoyed being able to sit around the table together and settle in. The next morning, the local whole bean coffee and grinder provided by the host made it even better, and we loved relaxing with coffee while watching a beautiful sunrise. The location was perfect for our visit to JMU. It was very easy to get to campus, and we had a great time at the Open House. We had never been to Harrisonburg before, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect from the weekend, but everything about the house, the location, and our visit turned out wonderfully- we even saw a rainbow the second night. We would absolutely stay here again!
Property and the view are excellent and the house was very clean. I very much enjoyed everything about the house and stay with the exception of the living room or front room next to the kitchen felt like it should have been the room with the TV and the side room should have been the quiet reading or resting area and the wifi is a bit spotty. Overall a great stay, thank you to the host we had a great weekend.
We had a great stay! This was perfect for our visit to see our daughter at JMU. There were 7 of us, and our daughter stayed a night also. There was plenty of space and the proximity to campus was great. Mary and Dave were very responsive and fantastic hosts. We hope to stay again!
Beautiful view! Great spaces for family to gather including a separate den in addition to open-concept living room, dining room and kitchen. Hosts were very responsive.
Our stay was outstanding. First, the panoramic views of the mountains, sunrise, and valley is spectacular. It was a pleasure just relaxing on the front porch during downtime from the wedding we were attending in the Harrisonburg area. Second, we feel the value for the house with B bedrooms, 3 baths, and a sofa bed (which we did not need) was fantastic. While there may be no game room or bar area, we did not need it and everything we did need was available. Lastly, our hostess, Mary, was excellent, Her communication during this entire process from booking to leaving was respectful, professional, and interacting. She went out of her way to solve our only small problem of the weekend. I highly recommend this spot and would stay here again if we needed a place.
It is a beautiful house with great city views, located 5 minutes from everything Harrisonburg has to offer. Mary ensures your stay is memorable with the small details and wonderful home. We always enjoy our stay.
The place was very clean, and the views were spectacular. Close to the town and a spa that we really enjoyed. The host replied to all of our questions very quickly. we will book the place again.
