La Dolce Vita = The Sweet Life! Enjoy breathtaking waterfront views and spectacular sunsets from every room in this comfortable luxury waterfront home on Chincoteague Bay! Each of the 4 bedrooms features a private full bath. There are bedrooms on both levels with the master bedroom on the first floor. The MBR suite has a private bath with jacuzzi tub and private waterside balcony. There's also a smaller bedroom with two twins on the first level. The two bedrooms upstairs are private wings off the game room. The game room has two separate gaming tables that young and old alike will enjoy. Checkers with the grandkids! There is bathroom access on this level for guests that use the sleeper sofa in the game room. The kitchen opens to the dining & living room areas which are flanked by floor to ceiling windows & cathedral ceiling. If you're visiting off season, there's a fireplace in the living room for your enjoyment. Off the living room you'll find a large all-weather waterside gazebo that opens out the the decks. It's a perfect spot for your gatherings. La Dolce Vita is a beautiful home with a well-thought-out floor plan that you'll truly enjoy. And the waterfront area has new bulkheading - you can easily crab, fish and launch kayaks from this area.

Fantastic house! House was super-clean, bedrooms were all good size, kitchen was well-equipped - there weren’t any tools you’d need for cooking that it didn’t already have, plus plenty of dishes, glasses and silverware. The house is super-well made. If you were in a bedroom, you barely heard any noise from the main living area. Also, loved the house’s side room. Was great for game night and large group dinners- and was super soundproof from the rest of the house. All beds and furniture were in great condition and comfortable. Love the quiet road it was on and the views, especially at sunset. Love the back deck and private pier. Would definitely return again.

La Dolce Vita

Beautiful home is a fantastic location. Plenty of room inside and outside. Definitely a great set up for multiple couples or teens that want a place to retreat as each bedroom as a bathroom and TV. Lots of games/puzzles to keep everyone entertained.

Scenic stay

This was our second year coming to “the yellow beach house” (as my kids call it). We’ve loved both visits. The calm, shallow water and all the wildlife is great for young kids. The house is well stocked with all you need for your stay and the sunsets and beautiful! Had kayaks delivered to the house to explore the wildlife area and enjoyed that adventure. Highly recommend!

Chincoteague Magic 2.0

We first experienced Chincoteague six years ago and were afraid to return bc we had such a magical vacation. We returned this time with my sister's family in the ever-so-lovely La Dolce Vita. There was enough space for everyone to spread out and the views were spectacular. We loved having dinners on the screened in porch area. We were also excited to find the bay is very shallow which made it less worrisome with small children around. It was warm and wonderful to wade in....plus there was an abundance of seafood for the picking! The house and our stay couldn't have been more perfect (and just as magical as our first visit to Chincoteague)! We can't wait to return to this house!

Stunning views in a gorgeous and clean home!

We absolutely LOVED our stay in this beautiful waterfront home. As soon as you walk into the house, you see straight through to the beautiful water and dock. There is a water view form every room in the house! We sat on the dock the first night to watch the breathtaking sunset. You will not be disappointed in these views! The house was super clean and comfortable. We came down for Thanksgiving and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed! It’s fully stocked and convenient. Again while you’re in the kitchen cooking, you can see the water! The beds are really comfortable and we loved that the owners had games and puzzles for family time! It was also such a nice surprise to have 2 pies in the refrigerator for thanksgiving as a gift for our stay! We had all the food and we’re going to try and find pies on the island, but we didn’t have to! Such a nice touch! The owner really takes care of this property and has nice little touches all around the house! We fell in love with the island and the location and can’t wait to come again! Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful memory for our family!

Great gathering place!

We loved the stunning views of the water. The house also has lots of cookware and bakeware. We made Thanksgiving dinner and had everything we needed.

July 2022 Stay

The house was beautiful. I've renting many other vacation rentals and have never seen a rental as well equipped with everything you need as La Dolce Vita! The Views are spectacular. The sunsets were amazing. The bay is so shallow the kids were able to play in the water without worrying. We were there for Pony Swim week and it was so much fun. Something everyone should do at least once. Its truly amazing to go to all the events! And the fireworks at the closing was the perfect ending to a very memorable week. Your customer service is above and beyond. A huge asset to your business is Candie Walker. She was so helpful. She really made a difference!

May 2022 Stay

We had an amazing time at this house! We've never stayed that far down the north end of the island but it was beautiful! We had a sunny start to the trip but then it got very windy off of the water. The house was swaying with the wind but personally I didn't mind. I love this company and loved the house! Very clean and well equipped!

September 2021 Stay

This was our 3rd year in this house (40 years of our annual pilgrimage) we loved it. We have enjoyed ourselves and this beautiful house everyone year. We have already booked it again for next year. However, there are few things that we hope will be improved upon/fixed by next year. Off the top of our heads the things that we'd like to see fixed before next year are the following: new throw rugs; replace stair carpeting; fix/replace upstairs toilet paper holder; real kitchen chairs as benches are pretty tough on the back (especially for us older people); new living room furniture as the current furniture is very old and uncomfortable; the outside furniture is full of mildew and really needs to be powerwashed. Just basic maintenance. FYI - we stopped renting Osprey Nest because the owner didn't maintain the house. See you next year. Cindy & Al Bernhofer

Long weekend getaway

La Dolce Vita was perfect for a long weekend trip with my family. The property was beautiful and spotlessly clean. My 8 year old spent hours on the dock observing the fish, hermit crabs and jelly fish in the clear bay water. The property is well located, a short drive from the center of Chincoteague and the National Wildlife Preserve.
