Wonderful home with a beautiful pool, well stocked and comfortable. The host is so helpful kind and a great communicator. We will definitely stay here again.
This house was very cozy, with a large dinning area, perfect for a quiet dinner. The pool / patio area was very cute. We loved sitting outside and enjoying the weather. In a great area and close to everything. The host who lives nearby also had the sweetest cat that greeted us outside everytime we returned. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable and great location
Owner was terrific and very responsive. We were very comforatble and had everything we needed.
Centrally located yet feeling of privacy.
Close to Randolph Park golf course and practice range. Walking distance to well-reviewed Mexican restaurant -and great Middle
East food market.
A great property host is always important when deciding on a rental. Gigi did not disappoint. Her extensive knowledge of Tucson was a great asset for our trip. House location was great. We enjoyed a morning neighborhood walk before heading off on our daily adventure. Her central location was perfect for getting around. We enjoyed the uniqueness of Gigi’s home. Would stay again.
This is a wonderful property and Gigi is a wonderful host. It just needs some updating (new rugs, pictures, etc.) Overall we had a great time and we loved Tucson.

Thank you for your evaluation. You are so right. That one closet needs a redo. It’s crowded with bedding.
Kitchen cupboards needs to reduce.
I appreciate you taking the time to write. I enjoyed having you. Hope your knee is feeling better! Thanks again🤗

Just right!!!
What a fantastic place! Very centrally located near the University of AZ and super comfortable. The casita is very well decorated, the kitchen is very well stocked and the beds are very comfy. We loved staying here and only wished we had spent more time in the casita than we did, as we were out and about the majority of the time. To top it all off, the owner, Gigi, is delightful and very helpful while maintaining total privacy for guests. Corresponding with her to set things up was a breeze too!
I highly recommend this spot. Plenty of room and very quiet and peaceful. An oasis of calm and comfort in cnetral Tucson!

Good location
This property is in a great location and host Gigi knows Tucson and is happy to share history and places to explore. The adobe home is old and consequently minus some conveniences. The laundry room is a shared space with Gigi. If you like bohemian spaces with lots of collectibles this will be a fit. On the other hand, if you prefer neat and tidy, this might not be best option.

This home looks exactly like the photos. It is a beautiful, comfortable and clean space. It is not a hotel. Many people feel it has a European / Southwest feel to it. Adobe Built 1939.
We were pleasantly greeted by Gigi who gave us a detailed tour of the rental. The kitchen is stocked with extra condiments and supplies making our visit to the grocery store a breeze. Master bed was comfortable and bathroom had great towels. The dining has a most beautiful ceiling covered in saguaro cactus ribs. Location was good for our travels to Sonoran Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park, Kartchners Caverns, and Ramsey Canyon Preserve. The location in set among the noise of city traffic so sitting outside can be rather noisy. Many wind chimes around the patio did help to create a more soothing atmosphere. We chose the property because it has a pool but high winds and cold water temperature did not make it inviting. There was a pool vacuum which floated all day long and made our entrance into the water a bit intrusive during the day. Depending on your decorating preference you may find this property a bit cluttered.

I just want to remind any renters renting, this is my home, not a hotel. It’s clean, as one would expect from a hotel. It has comfortable furnishing and art that are my world, which I’m sharing with you. Naturally, if there is something that doesn’t suit your aesthetic you can ask me to make arrangements to change it, if that’s do able. That goes for anything that would make your stay more comfortable. I live there, too. Thank you
Loved our stay. The house is warm and inviting.
Gigi was a great tour guide and historian about the home. Great living and kitchen area. The home is well equipped and very clean. If we are back in Tucson we would love to stay again. Thanks for opening your home to us.
We had a great time. Gigi was very attentive and helped us figure out local eating and visiting options. The house is cozy, and the pool/patio area and grill were superb. Will stay again when visiting Tucson.
The house was very comfortable and spacious - with 2 bedrooms, a great kitchen and dining area and a lovely outdoor patio + swimming pool.

Amazing architecture, but cluttered and dusty
First of all, the positives: This is a wonderful, 80-year-old, adobe home in a quiet neighborhood. The location is great for anyone needing to visit the University of Arizona. The owner, and her dog, are friendly and helpful.
There is great potential for this to be a wonderful home to visit, but we found the home to be over-decorated. This caused several problems: There weren't any flat surfaces on which to place our things as they all had vases, candlesticks, scarves, artificial flower arrangements, etc. on them. We ended up living out of our suitcases for six days. The decorations and many throw rugs make this a very difficult house to keep clean and many surfaces are really dusty, including light fixtures. This would not work for someone with allergies, and it did detract from our comfort.
The furniture is not comfortable at all. The beds were comfortable enough, but the pillows smelled musty. The living room sofa and side chairs are very old and lack padding or springs. The sofa tends to push one onto the floor. We also wished there was a desk or table to use with our laptop and a table for playing cards.
Lastly, there was a strong floral odor, like air freshener or Fabreez, that permeated the home for the whole week. It never seemed to lessen and was completely objectionable. We never felt like cooking and eating a meal.
A few minor changes, better furniture, and a thorough cleaning could make this a wonderful rental.

Beautiful and relaxing haven in a great location
My husband and I stayed for a few days with our two teens over midwinter break, and we had such a nice visit! Gigi has created a such a calm and beautiful environment. She has put thought into every wall and every corner. I wish she could come and help me decorate my home! The beds were comfortable and the living room had a nice chair for everyone.
The kitchen had everything we wanted for light cooking (pasta) and reheating food, and it was nice to have a french press and electric water boiler. The house is in a very convenient location-- we had stores, a nice coffee shop, and restaurants within an easy walk, and pretty much whatever you need within an easy drive. We enjoyed eating breakfast outside on the patio, and it was nice to have a large table to eat at and for playing games after days of enjoying hiking in the Sonora Canyon and cave touring. Gigi made sure we had everything we needed and she was on hand next door in case we had any trouble. But we didn't have any trouble. Everything was perfect and we had a great stay.

Cozy and comfortable all around!
We shared this stylish 2BR with family and loved having a nice house to just sit and visit in. It's so comfortable and felt like home right away. The neighborhood was close to everything and we enjoyed morning walks. I'll come back again and I'd recommend to anyone needing a place in Tucson for 4 or 5 people. Really enjoyed it!

About the host

Hi, I am a retired interior design professor. A devoted yogi. For 40 years in this dear home and it still remains my sanctuary. The home has lots of character. I have been blessed. You will love it too.
Why they chose this property
I choose to rent some of my home because of too much house. It's now like a duplex, separated by enclosed hall and utilitie room. Remember thick adobe walls, the areas of each house parts are not attached, just passage way with locked doors at either end of passage hall. it's prefect!!!
What makes this property unique
Welcome, Your guesthouse is the main residence and very comfortable and private, although semi attached to east wing, where I live. You have your own patio, (a pool & backyard which we might share). It"s amazingly comfortable & convenient all around. The best benifit is location. Close to everything. You will be in the very center of Tucson, a short hour drive from Mt. Lemmon, there is a ski reort, and yes a winter, sometime you can ski our 9000+ ft mountain. Also, two minutes drive to a great public golf course. Minutes away from University of Arizona campus and three major hospitals, UMC, TMC and St Joseph's. Our location is within walking distance from the Speedway and Alvernon intersection.
