We took my Grandma and our kids to Tahoe and this cabin provided a comfortable and stress free stay near all the amenities but away from the noisey crowds. Check out Bijou park if you're traveling with kids. Would definitely stay again!
Fantastic spot. The place was as advertised, it was clean, had everything we needed. Also vey convenient to the town center, grocery store, ski slopes, casinos, etc. I would highly recommend it.
We planned a last minute trip to Tahoe for the kids’ break, the cabin was perfect. Books and games galore! We spent most of our time around the big kitchen table. Loved the layout of the cabin and took advantage of the bluetooth. Thanks for a pleasant stay!
We liked the location. A couple of beds were broken — we took pictures and notified the manager promptly. The carpet was dirty and a c there were some missing blinds — we also took pictures and notified the manager. I was told the owner was going to do some maintenance soon after our visit — I hope that really happened.
Nice modest home near the slopes as described on the site. Easy to get to slopes and town. A bit dated but comfortable. The shower faucets were difficult to adjust. Hot water was way too hot, almost scalding. However when trying to adjust showers seemed to either be way too hot or way too cold until adjusted just right. Was difficult to find the right spot on either shower. Other than that we had a great stay.

Did not stay
We arrived late and found the house to be very dirty. We stayed one night and left the next morning! The property manager was great. She helped put us in touch with the rental agency and they were very nice! The area was very nice, but the house was very unkept, The bbq was unusable the beds were too! Lots of things that made it feel uncomfortable! 👎

Heavenly Family Retreat
Very nice property, close to the slopes. Easy to get to. Lots of room for my family. A bit dated, so don’t expect anything fancy. However, the unit had everything we needed. The local property manager, Crystal, was great. Very responsive and very helpful. There a problem with the shower hot water adjustments. Water was either way too hot (almost scalding) or too cold. Took too long a time to get each faucet setting just right. The hot water heater is set too high and the faucets need to be replaced. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Bad experience
Our stay here was not pleasant.
1. There was some leak underneath the kitchen sink and the whole area was so smelly. Everytime we used the sink, the dirty water leaked through the under cabinet. We had to use kitchen since we had toddlers with us and the leak made so difficult.
2. Beds were not good, they were old and very uncomfortable. 3. Hot water control in the bathrooms were so difficult to deal with, it could have burnt our skin if we were not extra careful. 4. The Balcony mesh door was floating and it fell off when we tried to open the door. It would have definitely hurt if somebody was standing next , but luckily there were none.
5. No laundry detergent and there were only 3 dishwasher pods.
Definitely not a recommended place to stay especially with kids.

Priya, we're sorry that you did not enjoy your stay.
- We always encourage all guests to reach out to the Guest Contact in the event that any issues arise so that we can rectify them in a timely manner. We were contacted once, near the end of his stay about the shower controls not working properly. We do understand how frustrating this can be especially with young children.
- We did check the sink faucets and shower controls after they checked out and had no issues getting warm water or adjusting the temperatures. We also checked the screen door to the porch and have never had any issues with it coming off the track. We are sorry that you had a hard time with this.
- There are laundry tablets in the cupboard above the washer and dryer. We are sorry if you missed this or weren't aware that they were for laundry.
We appreciate your feedback and are working towards delivering a 5-star experience we know our home is capable of.
Our family from the UK thoroughly enjoyed their Tahoe experience. Staying at this home, nestled amongst the pine trees, made it so comfortable. BBQ worked great, too.
Great place to stay. Everything was as or better than advertised. Clean, close to ski mountain and we didn’t lack for much as a group of 6 dudes in town for skiing / snowboarding and some. Night life. Only minor suggestions, we couldn’t get the central speaker system to play anything but NPR radio but we brought our on speakers and the shower water temp control is a bit touchy. No deal breakers still a great place to stay!
We had a very nice stay here, the location of the house is great, very close to Heavenly and easy to get to. The house was clean and a of a decent size. The backyard area was great for sledding and playing in the snow. It would be nice if they replaced the couch as it was not very comfortable to sit on and some of the beds I would classify as lower than average quality. As a result I gave this property a 4 out of 5. But overall a great value and we would consider staying here again.
This place was located in a great are. there was plenty of space and we were happy to see that the home was stocked with plenty of dishes, seasonings, and other supplies. We did feel like it could have been a little cleaner. For example there was trash on one side of the living room floor. The master bedroom sheets were dirty. I wish the front entry steps and cement would have been cleared of the huges ice sheet. There were multiple times we could have slipped and fallen. The safety of the top bunk bed railing needs to be addressed and the couch should defiantly be replaced. Sadly it was an area of the house we hardly used because the springs we're picking out so sharply it hurt to site down. Lastly, the downstairs towlet seat was loose. Overall, we really enjoyed the view the property had, and our overall experience was convinent.
Everything was fine. The place was perfect for our family. One problem was the front porch. The constant melting and freezing of the front steps were seriously dangerous. The shovel in the garage was no match for the ice.
Great location and house, mattresses need updating
This house is in a great location, and overall we really enjoyed it. The layout is great for families and the deck out back is nice. However, the mattresses are extremely dated and uncomfortable. Also the bedding was pretty old as well and the extra blankets in the closets were very worn down, had holes etc.
I would give this house a 5 if the mattresses and bedding were more current, however sleep is really important for ski trips.
Our stay in Black Bart was amazing. The house was listing was accurate. Beautiful property and very easy to communicate with Crystal. I look forward to staying there again in the future.
