Nestled in the heart of North Charleston is The Marie. The Marie encompasses 5 generations of authentic low country living. Whether it's a girl's trip, bro's weekend, couples getaway, or family retreat, The Marie is where you want to be.

The Marie offers a mix of traditional, modern, and low country setting that offers comfort and privacy. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston and escape to The Marie to relax after a busy day of shopping and eating.

The property encompasses space for up to 6 people comfortably and basic home amenities, television streaming (Netflix, Sling, Roku), and peace. Please be advised that local channels are only available via Sling. Central AC and ceiling fans are present. There are also a few baby amenities including high chair, play mat, baby wipe warmer, bottle cleaning rack, and travel crib. We're ready to host you.

We're located in the heart of North Charleston near interstate 26, Rivers Ave, and University Blvd. Close to shopping, recreation, grocery, and restaurants. Tanger Outlets, Amtrak, Airport, and Convention Center are approx 15 mins drive. Downtown historic Charleston is about 20 mins drive. Folly beach is approximately 22 miles away and Wannamaker water park is 8 mins away.


Note: Trash and recycling bins should be placed on the curb for collection no earlier than 8pm Tuesday night for Wednesday morning collection. If guest is staying at the residence thru Wednesday, please collect the bins by 6pm Wednesday and return them back to an open location next to the garage.

Pets are welcome, but be advised that there is a $65 pet fee for up to 2 dogs of medium size. Reservations will more than 2 pets will incur an additional $25 charge. Please take care to clean up after your little ones. Waste bags are provided to keep the yard clean.

By submitting a reservation, and upon subsequent approval by the host of the reservation, guest agrees to absolve host of all injury and property liabilities incurred on the property. Guests will be held responsible for all damage to the property. Email for Hourly/Dayuse Rates.

The Marie is a beautiful home in a nice neighborhood. It is close enough to Charleston to drive down and enjoy the city but come back and relax of the evenings. The house is well equipped for a couple or a family with kids. Our dog enjoyed the big fenced in backyard and we enjoyed the patio and having a gas grill was definitely a plus. The only negative for us was that the bed was very firm.. However we learned a couple of years ago that beds are different in all VRBO’s so we invested in a mattress topper to always take with us on our trips. Marie was wonderful to communicate with and graciously offered ideas for attractions to visit and restaurants, The East Bay Deli just minutes away from the house was excellent for quick sandwiches,

The ‘Marie’ is an adorable, refurbished family home located in the North Charleston area. My husband and I were renters for the entire month of March, 2026, and found the accommodations to be perfect for us and our 2 family dogs.The house was very clean and well kept, providing the perfect stay for our lengthy visit. There were no indications of pets ever being in the house, therefore KUDOS to the housekeeper.Communication was just a text away, with response time well within our expectations,,,normally just minutes away.The owner(s) obviously take a great deal of pride in their family home that goes back generations. Family heirlooms are present throughout the home, making one travel back in time to when this house hosted family get-togethers and celebrations :). I actually found myself sitting in front of the fireplace many times envisioning these happy times from the past….Fenced yard was perfect for our dogs, and neighborhood was very quiet.All in all, a very pleasurable reprieve from our normal winter March in the north !

This home in North Charleston worked well and had plenty of space for our group of 7. The location was great, a short drive to the historic sites in Charleston and a nice quiet neighborhood to come back to at the end of the day!

Second time stay

This was the second time I stayed at this property with family to visit my son. It is in a great location, in a quiet neighborhood yet very close to shopping and the Navy base. Extremely clean home that is very pet friendly. The beds are very comfortable, we couldn’t ask for better accommodations. We definitely plan to stay there the next time we are in town.

COMPLETELY Spotless Cleaned throughout the property, the Host was SOOO easy to reach out (with extra local contacts if needed them too), Perfect for my 'fur brother' who said it was "Woof-derful" and very Pet Friendly! Perfect house for our stay. About 10-15 min drive to the Ice Palace (depending on time of day). Wonderful pet-friendly house and fenced-in backyard. Rooms were clean, towels and furnishings were plentiful. Internet is speedy. Nice that the host allows day guests, so we were able to have a teammate and parent hang out with us for a few hours one afternoon. We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and comfortable, making it easy to settle in and relax. We’re especially grateful for the thoughtful extras—having beach toys and accessories available made our beach days even more fun and stress-free.
