Dana Point (Sea Canyon) is custom designed by renowned architect Jason Bell. This home is in the perfect location for a visitor that wants to experience everything that Southern California has to offer.

Located halfway between LA and San Diego in South Orange County, Armada is walking distance to Salt Creek Beach (it's just over a mile and the way back is up hill making it a workout), less than 5 miles from dozens of southern California's top beaches including Doheny State Park and many of the top Beaches in Laguna Beach, less than 33 miles south of Disney Land and California Adventure Park, 66 miles south of Hollywood, 36 miles north of LegoLand (San Diego/technically Carlsbad), and 64 miles north of SeaWorld San Diego. this property is in the heart of Southern California, far enough south to enjoy the more laid back lifestyle of South Orange County, clean air and less traffic, but close enough to experience, Hollywood and Los Angeles if you choose to.

The contemporary Craftsman Home was designed with a contemporary beach home feel while maximizing outdoor living. The kitchen boasts a Viking 6-burner gas stove, a commercial grade 46" refrigerator, a 72" island with seating that opens the living room. The back of the home opens to the back yard with 15' pocket doors that recess into the wall. In addition, the kitchen area boasts a 6' bi-fold window that serves as a pass through and eating area and allows for a perfect flow between the backyard kitchen/bar and the inside kitchen.

The owners selected this location after living in Southern California and Orange County for 10 years for it's ideal location that allows one to easily experience all that Southern California has to offer. It's rare to find beach close neighborhoods that are conducive to families with flat bike-able streets, parks, and a lot of younger families.

During Peak times including Christmas/New Years, and June- August there is a 6-day minimum stay. The owners use this home a lot throughout the year and when they are not using it, it leases quickly, therefore please check the schedule, availability is limited. Thanks!

The VRBO was awesome. Communication with mgr was strained before arrival, later was better. Took care of repairs in a timely manner. Accommodations couldn't have been better. Had a wonderful family time.

My 2 daughters and their 2 babies and I choose this home as it seemed kid friendly and it more than stood up to our expectations! My one grand baby had just started walking and we felt she was completely safe wherever she could toddle. Well stocked home, fabulous designer kitchen, great family room off kitchen. It would be a wonderful place to invite friends or family to. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So Cal was unseasonably warm while we were there, but there was always a nice breeze to keep the temps down. Thank you for opening your beautifully renovated home to our family!

Great home for a large family vacation. Great beaches and only 35 minutes from Disneyland

Had a wonderful family vacation at Erica and Shevy's beautiful home. Our grandchildren had an abundance of toys to play with. The backyard was a perfect place for them to play and we were easily able to keep an eye on them from inside the house. The kitchen had everything we needed to have large family dinners. Only one hiccup during our visit. Our youngest grandchild had a tantrum when he had to put away a toy as we were leaving for 5:30 Mass on Saturday. His tantrum happened in the front entryway where the alarm pad was located. He ran to the alarm pad and pushed the buttons causing the fire alarm to go off in the house and summoning the fire department. I called Shevy immediately to let him know his house was not on fire. He called the alarm company but it was too late to cancel the fire truck. Shevy took it all in stride and made us feel better saying that he had a three year old too. (By the way, we highly recommend St Edward the Confession if anyone is looking for a Catholic Church.) Thanks, Erica and Shevy for sharing your home with us.

Absolutely loved this house!!

We spent the holiday weekend here for a cousins/siblings reunion. It accommodated all 15 of us comfortably. The kitchen/dining/family room was our favorite place to hang out since it was spacious and comfy. We had a few young kids so their toys kept them occupied while the basketball hoop and skateboards kept the older teens happy. Our family loved the feel of the home and would definitely come back for another reunion. And the beach was less than 10 min away. Shevy, the owner was always getting back to me promptly to help with any questions I had. He also contacted me before our checkin to make sure I knew everything was ready for our stay. Thank you for opening up your beautiful home to us!!

Perfect Home!!! AMAZING experience. Book Now!

This was our 1st experience booking with HomeAway. We booked this property because of the beautiful pictures and the space to accommodate our large family. We had a delightful time & wonderful Christmas with our family. This property is beyond gorgeous! We wish we could simply move in and just stay. It was very warm & spacious and we can't say enough good things about the property. Shevy was a perfect host! He contacted me prior to the booking and was extremely helpful with all of my questions. A few days before we arrived he asked if they have any questions or special requests. Shevy made himself available by phone & email at all times to answer any questions. I highly suggest this property. We had a great stay there and can recommend this accommodation with confidence. My family and I are already planning our next visit. LOVED the home! Great family experience. This is our third year renting this property.

Shevy is great to work with. This property is ideal for families. Very clean and quiet and in a nice location which is close to beaches and freeways and other amenities. Wonderful areas...patio and family room for kids and adults. The kitchen is spacious and has all the things you need to cook for your families. Close to a park and many eating places. We hope to return again.

Perfect property!

We had a wonderful experience when we rented this home for our son's wedding in Dana Point; it was perfectly located between the rehearsal dinner and wedding venues. The house was clean and well-maintained, and the sizes of beds available were perfect. The house had everything we needed except A/C -- the days got a little warm when I was cooking, but the nights were delightfully cool. I had a few questions and Shevy responded promptly. We were able to sleep 12 comfortably one night without falling over each other, and the nearby park was excellent for playing family games. There were not many rentals to choose from, but even if there had been more we couldn't have chosen a better one. Thank you!

Amazing Home

My family, which consisted of 8 adults and 8 children, recently spent a week at this beautiful home. This house is so family friendly!! I cannot emphasize this enough. Even though all the finishes are very high end, (you feel like you are staying at a 5 star resort) it still felt like you could completely relax there. Anything you could possibly want is there. Toys and games both inside and outside for the kids. Beach towels, boogie boards, everything you need for the beach. They also have every conceivable type of small appliance. The pots and pans and the major appliances are amazing. There is a wonderful park close by as well. It is a quick 5 minute ride to the beach. The owner was wonderful to deal with and always got back to us promptly. The whole family agreed it was the best home we have ever stayed in. You will not go wrong in booking this home. I hope you have as wonderful a time staying there as our family did.

Family Beach Vacation Extraordinaire

Our family group of 18 had a wonderful vacation...with baby, young children and several teenagers and eight adults. We enjoyed the shopping and fine restaurants in San Clemente, Laguna. We loved the beaches which are close by especially the Salt creek beach with its easy access. The home was very accommodating and spacious and the patio with the large open doors was wonderful and we enjoyed a wonderful BarBQ and playing games outside. Shevy was very good to work with and quick to respond to our needs. A great family vacation and we hope to return again next year. Thank you for a memorable vacation.

Family Beach Vacation

We've been vacationing as a family in the Laguna vicinity for 50+ years. This home was spacious and lovely for our family group of 19 people. It was in a great location, only minutes to Strand Beach and convenient to shopping centers. There were many nice toys in the house to the delight of the children who also enjoyed the park around the corner. Shevy had everything arranged for our arrival & checked on us to make sure we were comfortable during the week. We would definitely come back again.

50th Surprise Birthday

Excellent house for 6-20 family and friends gatherings. We had an excellent 4th of July and birthday vacation. Golf and beaches are close by. We were able to ride our bikes to the beach. Shevy, made sure he was there to when we arrived and gav us a tour of the house. Awesome time, thanks again Shevy and family.

My wife Erika and I grew up I the Midwest, she is from northern Minnesota and I'm from North Dakota, we both love to travel and we've visited numerous countries and states with our family. We enjoy camping and adventuring to see and experience different cultures. We have three daughters, Krimzen (10), Brooklyn (8), Regan (6), and one son, Crew (1).

Why they chose this property

I took my family to Salt Creek Beach one day, when we left our home in Irvine I was very stress, after swimming around at Salt Creek Beach and playing with my kids, I felt the stress melt away. We at dinner at Shwacks, a cool little restaurant off of PCH, I remember thinking everyday should be like this. We fell in love with this property because of Sea Canyon Park, the trail access through Monarch Beach to Salt Creek Beach, the Strands, Ritz Carlton, the Monarch Golf Links, not to mention all of the wonderful and friendly neighborhood families. Now I can jog to Salt Creek Beach and Schwacks from Villa Armada. We love it!
