Adirondack lakehouse w/80' beach on Great Sacandaga Lake

Our home is the upper level of a 2 family house located an hour northwest of Albany on beautiful Great Sacandaga Lake. It is nestled into the side of a wooded hill. The hilly terrain allows both levels to have their own on-grade entrances.

The 80' beach area is directly across the road from the driveway entrance and opposite a NYS public boat launch site, which is just a few hundred yards across the water. The waterfront includes a fireplace, dock, & picnic table.

You will especially appreciate the spacious layout and fully furnished kitchen. I enjoy the calming view of the woods from the dining room table. The family will have plenty of room to sleep. The three bedrooms have 2 queen and 2 single beds, plus there are 2 cots available or space on one of the couches for the kids.

Our home has two full baths and a laundry room. The Master bath includes a great whirlpool soaker tub.

Enjoy a game of 8-ball on the family room pool table or warm up in the cooler months in front of the living room fireplace. In warm months, you will really like the large patio complete with a picnic table, grill, and fire pit.

While there may be other guests downstairs during your stay, your living space is completely private and separate. The beach, dock, and lakeside picnic areas, however, are shared. You are welcome to tie up your boat or personal water craft at the dock.

If you are looking for some world class experiences, we are located about 40 miles from Saratoga. In less than an hour you can enjoy the famous Saratoga Race Course, be entertained by internationally known artists at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and go back in history with a tour of the crucial Revolutionary War Saratoga Battlefield.

We are also only an hour from the 6 Flags Great Escape amusement and water park with all the rides a child or adult child could ask for.

For winter guests, it is a short 20 minutes to the Lapland Lake Nordic Ski Center and 35-40 minutes to Oak Mountain or Royal Mountain downhill areas. Gore Mountain, one of New York's best, is only an hour away. Gore has 110 trails, boasts 2,537 vertical feet, and is home to the most skiable acreage in New York . While not a necessity all the time, since our driveway is fairly steep, winter guests might want to come with an all wheel or four wheel drive vehicle.

This is an ideal vacation spot for all season fun, including water skiing, tubing, fishing, fall foliage trips, and winter sports, all with beautiful mountain and lake views throughout the surrounding area.

All you need for a great family vacation are your own linens and towels. Free wifi and cable TV included.

One final note: While you are likely to see turkeys, deer, or other wildlife, please leave your personal pets at a safe place at home. They will be happier and so will we. Please also help us maintain a smoke free environment.
