Beautiful, Historic Home Next to Campus - Once Owned By Moose Krause!
Moose Krause's Home - and yours for a memorable Notre Dame football weekend! This beautiful brick Tudor is in the historic Harter Heights neighborhood (sometimes called "Professor's Row") and has been updated with all the modern amenities. Relax in the well-appointed living room or the comfortable family room, and enjoy the beautifully landscaped back patio and deck before and after the game! You can hear the marching band practice and the Basilica bells chime while you relax outside on sectional sofa by the gas fire pit. All within close walking distance to Notre Dame, Eddy Street and the East Bank trail to downtown South Bend.
This house is at once classic but modern - built in 1929, the interior is classically beautiful but with an updated modern kitchen, newly renovated in 2020. Other updates include a comfortable family room and master bedroom suite with newly renovated master bathroom. Enjoy meals in the formal dining room or in the sunny breakfast nook next to a large bay window. Relax in the well-appointed living room or the comfortable family room with its 55-inch flat screen cable TV and surround sound. Both rooms have gas fireplaces to take the chill off, just in case.
The second story features a master bedroom suite that includes a separate bathroom (newly renovated in 2022) and private sitting room off the bedroom. Two ample bedrooms and an updated full bath are also found on the second floor. The third story is accessed by a circular staircase, leading to a spacious fourth bedroom that spans the whole width of the house, separately heated and cooled, and that includes a cozy, pillow-filled reading or sleeping nook under the eaves that the kids will love. The backyard is like a manor garden, which you can enjoy on the deck with its ample patio furniture, sectional sofa, natural gas fire-pit, retractable awning and umbrella, and a Weber BBQ grill.
The house is owned by a Notre Dame professor and his family, who love the neighborhood and the sights and sounds campus life just around the corner.

Family Centered Graduation Weekend
This beautiful home was the perfect setting for a family centered graduation weekend. It comfortably slept our family of 9. The kitchen was well equipped and the backyard and grill were a great gathering space. The house was spotless and well decorated. With a large den and an adjacent living room there was plenty of gathering space.
It was an easy walk to campus and the shops and restaurants at Eddy Commons. Perfect Notre Dame getaway
Our family had a great time and enjoyed our stay at Harters Heights! We had a family of 6 that went to South Bend for an ND football weekend. The place was walking distance to local restaurants and the stadium. The home was very comfortable and had plenty of areas to gather. We hope to make it back next year!
I (50 year old) rented this house for the Notre Dame vs Navy football game for myself and my 3 adult siblings. The host could not have been more helpful and kind. Their home is beautiful and charming and has 4 nice bedrooms so we all had our own room. The kitchen was perfect, 2.5 bathrooms and it was a short walk to campus. If you are lucky enough to snag this gem - do it!

Great Location - Historic ND Adjacent Home
We had a very nice experience in South Bend for the ND vs. Miami of Ohio game. The home is historic and well maintained. The location is perfect for a small tailgate and a quick walk to the stadium. The neighborhood is quiet and the parking was ample. A nice place to stay for ND related events.
