This is a new 2,000 square foot 4 bedroom 2 bath house located in the beautiful Ouachita national forest. There are two living areas with sofas and ample room for air mattresses if you have a larger group and/or kids or teens. Each of the four bedrooms has either a full or queen mattress. There are 3 decks/porches that overlook the property and a nice fire pit with chairs. There is ample room to park boats and vehicles. The home is walking distance to Lake Ouachita which is one of the cleanest and clearest lakes. The nearest boat ramp is 0.2 miles away.
We use this second residence often for hunting, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, and recreational boating with our kids. There are things to enjoy year-round.
We offer kayak and bike rental; contact us for pricing. We also have 3 empty horse stalls on the property that can be used.
This is a remote area in a national forest so the TVs don't receive local channels. The TVs each have a Roku player or Smart DVD player connected.
There is no smoking on the property- we do monitor for tobacco use, parties, and number of guests. Unfortunately, we’ve had damage in the past from rules not being followed so we have to make sure everyone is clear up front! I’m sure you can understand!
In order to keep our new home in fantastic condition, a refundable security deposit is required for all reservations.

We loved staying here and being close to the boat ramp on lake Ouachita. The lake is beautiful and we loved being able to relax at the house after the day on the water. It was a great space with lots of areas to enjoy being together as a family. Thank you
Very nice double wide modular home with tons of space and 4 bedrooms. The property is very remote with limited connection to internet, which were to main source of unhappiness with my group. Host mentioned this in the description, but it doesn't resonate until you go to research the attractions which brought us to the area. It seemed everything we wanted to visit, like Hot Springs, was 45 minutes drive from the property. Had we been there with a boat during the summer months a lake access was the primary goal, this property would have been awesome as the ramp is just down the road. I blame myself for not realizing the time it would take to drive to the area attractions and this trip highlighted the phrase "Those are country miles". Great and spacious yet a bit too remote for my group.
This property is off the beaten path, very quite and pleasant. Brian the owner is very nice and commutation was great. He made sure we arrived without issue. Plenty of room for everyone. We grilled out each night and enjoyed eating on the deck. Hot Springs is about 30 minutes away but a gorgeous drive. We will definitely stay here again.
As stated in the description, definitely off of the grid location. There is a very nice town about 30 min away. If renting kayaks from owner, you will need to be able to transport them via vehicle.
Brian was friendly & very attentive to all questions our entire trip. We spent most of our time outdoors and never bothered to turn on the TV. We had dinner at Blue Springs Grill on the way to town and it was delicious!
Gorgeous manufactured home set on a woody hill. Super cute/chic decorations, comfy beds. Home is VERY remote, get food/needs before leaving The Village area. 3 boat ramps near the home...get Off or citronella for sitting on one of the 3 porches or by the fire pit. Only complaint is from the menopausal ladies in our group, a/c was set on 74 and too hot for them, they sweat while inside(needed a code to change thermostat). Others were comfortable except while sleeping, too hot for all guests for sleeping. Would have given a 5 overall otherwise. Would definitely stay here again if/when we come to the area.

Hi Jayme! We would have happily lowered the Smart thermostat (it is controlled remotely from our phones) if we had known. We do keep a lock on it to keep it from going below 70 because we’ve had issues with guests setting it on 60 degrees and having doors and windows open in summer months.
This is a great place for families! The house is very neat an well furnished. We hated to leave.

"Lake House" description was misleading
This “Lake House” is a new, double-wide mobile home located in a rather unattractive neighborhood of weekend-use trailers and a few small homes. The lake is not visible although there is a boat launch about ¾ of a mile away on a narrow arm of Lake Oachita. To enjoy the lake from the shore is a drive of at least 5 miles. If one has a boat and trailer the lake and its inlets would be a wonderful place to explore.
Although we enjoyed our week here, the site was a disappointment – especially after the price quoted by Homeaway was considerably less than what the owner required once we contacted him by phone.

The pictures are current of the house as it sits. As said many times in the listing the house is in remote part of Ouachita National Forest not in a sub division. No where in the listing does it say you have a view of the lake which is obvious from the pictures in the listing and the fact the listing state the home is .02 miles from the lake. The price was accepted by the guest months before there stay so could have canceled there stay if they didn’t agree with price.
