Charming, Immaculate Home

This was my second stay at this lovely, well-kept home. The owners are extremely accommodating and go that extra step to ensure everything is perfect! The house is extremely clean and has everything one needs to enjoy a relaxing getaway. The kitchen is stocked with essentials if cooking is on the agenda. The bedrooms are accommodating, and the beds are comfortable. There’s a fire pit and a hot tub. I will definitely stay here again!!

Cozy and comfortable!!! Excellent communication with the owners. It was the perfect location, although be aware that it is a long gravel driveway and a true farm house so those low lying cars and/or allergies will need to take extra care. However, it was worth the extra Claritin to me as having coffee on the porch was so peaceful!

My husband, his mom and i stayed at Shady Oaks for the weekend and we really enjoyed the place.Very well decorated and clean. Old farmhouse feeling with all the modern necessitieswe will come back.Michelle, the host was great. She answered all of our questions and welcomed us very nicely

Beautiful Hidden Gem in Peaceful Surroudings

I have stayed at numerous VRBO properties for all types of trips and situations. This was one of the top ones ever. The homeowner was great and very responsive to questions. Close to Elkin and their great little downtown and many wineries. We will definitely be back!

Home away from home

The pictures do not do it justice. The house feels like a home. The owner has done a fantastic job, inside and out of making it comfortable and beatiful. She was easy to commuicate with and went above and beyond every time!! My kids loved the yard and the hot tub!!

Coffee with the Cows

We stayed a few short nights as we were juggling different efforts. The Cottage was the perfect location. Upon a late arrival we were beyond pleased with the condition and hospitality of the hoist. Beds and bedding is comfy, kitchen is well appointed. Living room is relaxing and parking is convenient. Spent a few mins each morning enjoying coffee on the front porch with the cows across the way and the beautiful scenery of the distant mountains.

It was absolutely wonderful! Everything you could think of was at your fingertips. The only reason for my one 4 was that it was away from everything. This can absolutely be a major plus, but we needed to get out for food which we did not bring for our stay so we needed to know more about restaurants etc accessibilities. It was all wonderful!!!!!
