Villa with spectacular views over the sea

A beautiful, spacious villa with wonderful uninterrupted views over the sea. To the south-east, the view is of Salobrena with it's hill top castle and seafront and to the south-west it is of Velilla beach in Almunecar. The villa is very well equipped and situated in a tranquil location, with gardens and a private pool with terrace. One of the best features is the abundance of space throughout from the large living room with high ceilings with a large arched window framing the view towards Salobrena, to the additional living space downstairs.
The accommodation is on two floors and is arranged so that each floor has 2 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms and a living/dining room with kitchen. Each lounge has it's own TV, DVD and separate satellite box allowing choice of viewing in each location.
The villa is ideal for all groups of between 2 and 8 people. The main living room, master bedroom and pool are adjacent all on the same level which would be perfect for a couple visiting on their own. The villa has 4 separate bathrooms which makes it well-equipped to take a larger party. The additional living space downstairs is ideal for those with children who would like a little space of their own.
The villa faces south allowing enjoyment of the sunshine all day, and all rooms have views over the Mediterranean. There is plenty of terrace space around the pool and additional areas accessible directly from both the upper and lower floors. The pool is accessed directly from the upper floor, and via an external staircase up from the lower floor. Access to the pool can be secured should you have smaller children.
The upper floor has 2 bedrooms each with an en-suite shower with a bath in the master bedroom. The main kitchen and living area is on this level which is on the same level as the pool. The kitchen has an oven and hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher and it's own table. The main dining area looks out directly over the sea, and gives access to the outside. The living area has a wood burner which is a cosy alternative to the air-conditioning in the cooler months. There is also a cloakroom on this level.
On the lower level, there are 2 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms and also a small kitchen (with oven/hob and fridge/freezer) and a good-sized additional living area with separate TV/DVD/Satellite, and access to outside. The washing machine is also on this level.
The villa is entered through a locked security gate and the driveway provides parking for 2/3 vehicles and there is a separate parking bay adjacent for a further vehicle. There is pedestrian access to the villa through a further locked gate from the parking bay.
The villa has hot and cold air conditioning which is controlled separately in each room. All bed linen and towels are provided and changed weekly and cots and high chairs are available on request.
The villa is perfectly located on the prestigious Alfamar Urbanisation, halfway between the beautiful coastal towns of Salobrena and Almunecar. A variety of bars, shops and restaurants are available in both towns, within 10 minutes drive.
Access to the villa is in about 1 hour from either Malaga (85km) or Granada (75 km) airport, using the new motorway links that are now in place. Car hire is essential to get the best from your stay and we can advise on this if required.
There are many options for exploring the surrounding area. The local towns of Salobrena with it's castle, and Almunecar with it's Roman ruins, bustling centre, old town and markets are very close by.
Further afield you can visit Granada and the Alhambra Palace, Nerja with it's famous caves and a trip into the Alpujarras mountains hopping between the beautiful white-washed villages is a must. Even skiing is possible within 75 mins drive in the Sierra Nevada, between November and April. The largest nearby commercial centre is Motril (12km)which is a thriving town that immerses you in the real Spain.
The whole area surprises visitors because it couldn't be more different from the usual Spanish holiday area. Here you come to relax, and enjoy everything that is Spanish, perhaps even a little of the language and certainly the picturesque scenery which dominates the region.
