About this property

Nature & Privacy with Hot Tub, Fireplace, Firepit & Local outdoor activities!

We offer a 4 bedroom, 3 bath cabin located on a private 3 acre wooded lot. The house is set up with all of the comforts of home. You will only need to bring paper products, soap & shampoo. Toilet paper is provided. The rooms are set up with queen size beds, however, one room has a queen bottom bunk and a single top bunkbed. Outside is equipped with a firepit and lots of room to roam! Home is on one level.
Please pay close attention, and make sure the numbers in your reservation is correct. This will save you an excess charge later.

Great stay!

We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The cabin is beautiful and the area is lovely and in perfect distance to rafting activities. Make sure to try out the hot tub under the stars!

Wonderful getaway

This location is in a beautiful quiet secluded neighborhood and is perfectly located between the lake and the New River Gorge area. We will definitely come back in the future!

Nice cozy cabin

This cabin was very nice, great location secluded in the woods but still easy access to everything in the area. Lots of bedrooms and great living space. Had everything you needed. Only reason I didn't give 4 stars is because there were some areas that needed updating/fixing, but nothing that hindered our stay. Overall we had a great time and I do recommend.

lovely house

The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had plenty of everything we needed. The owner was responsive and extremely helpful when we left an iPhone behind! We really enjoyed the hot tub and the seclusion of the property. The neighbors were not close but quite friendly when encountered. Lots of wildlife to enjoy as well. The location was central to everything the area had to offer. We had a great time and I would definitely rent again!

BACK AGAIN

We have been to this property several times in the last several years, but due to circumstances we couldn't go for the last two years. In the meanwhile there have been a number of upgrades to the property including one of the showers and the toilets. Everyone in our group was quite pleased with the changes.

We enjoyed where we stayed. It was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen could use a large pot for cooking and maybe another large frying pan. First place I have rented where there was no "manual" of information which I have always found helpful. The hot tub was nice and using it after a full day was very relaxing.

Weekend getaway

Place was clean, fully furnished, great directions for getting there, and spacious. The only reason for a 4 and not a 5 is, I specifically called the owner to ensure there would be firewood, when we went to the fire pit area, there was no wood only a little kindling that someone had gathered. Also the 4th bedroom with a bunk, the bed is not comfortable at all! This place is well furnished and is close to everything around.

The cabin was perfect for our 5 sisters trip to New River Gorge. The youngest sister exclaimed that the cabin was a true cabin in the woods, We did not use the hot tub. The fire pit was not useable at the time. Experienced efficient responses from the manager.

I wish that I could be writing a better review of this property. First, the property is in a great location. The amenities of the hot tub and fire pit area were very nice. However, when we checked we found mice in the house. We saw the mice running in the house. There were mouse droppings on the towels and in 3 of the beds. We had to wash all of the towels and vacuum the beds out. When I went to take the trash out, I found that there was only one (1) garbage bag in the house. This made things difficult. Lastly, the wi-fi password listed in the Vrbo communication was incorrect. I kept the property manager informed of everything during our stay via text. I was told that I would be receiving a slight refund, but I have not seen anything to that effect yet.

I've owned a vacation rental business now for about 20 years. My experience overall has been a very good one. I've met a lot of wonderful people and I have numerous people who renturn to my cabins every year. I love the outdoors and I love nature. I try very hard to be kind to the environment and the critters that live there. If you are coming for a relaxing time and a chance to just get away, then I welcome you with open arms! Let that stress of everyday life go and just relax and take in the clean fresh mountain air!

Why they chose this property

I don't own this particular property. I have a cabin that I own just down the road from here. However, before this property (farm) was sold and developed, I had dreamed of owning it and having several rental cabins availabe to people. This entire property, which stretches all the way to the Meadow River has always been close to my heart. It truely is a peaceful and serene place to be. But, don't take my word for it, find out for yourself!

What makes this property unique

You're going to love the front porch, especially in the morning, where I'm sure you will be able to catch the site of some animals rustling around somewhere for a bite of breakfast. In the evening time, grab a glass of wine, cocktail or ice tea and make your way to the hot tub for some leisure time. You will find this to be a very comfortable and unique place to stay.
