Ten minutes from Yosemite Valley and conveniently located on the paved road, this charming cabin in Foresta will meet all your needs. Cozily set up for two with a comfy queen size bed, enjoy cooking and dining in the cute kitchenette with new, quiet, refrigerator, 2-burner gas stove (no oven), microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, pots, pans & dishes, Bathroom with a shower, plenty of linens! Or use the propane BBQ while enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Equipped with gas heater and new, quiet, A/C. Explore the quiet surroundings, stroll to Crane Creek moments away, then rest under the shady oaks and pines. Foresta is a great starting point to various Yosemite destinations, Yosemite Valley, Tuolumne Meadows, the Merced & Tuolumne Groves of Sequoias and many hiking trails. Offering Free satellite TV, WIFI and HughesNet Gen4 internet, Verizon's 4G network is also available.

Foresta is located within the boundaries of Yosemite National Park. Now known as an “inholding”, Foresta (Big Meadow) started as a pioneering area. Two ranches (McCauley and Meyers) provided beef, pork, dairy and vegetables to the Yosemite Valley hotels. In the twenties, it was sub-divided and given the name of Foresta. Created as an “artistic” community, musical gatherings were held by the creek. After the Great Depression, many lots were sold for back taxes. Approximately 75 homes were in use, either full time or seasonally, before the 1993 A-Rock fire destroyed most of them. More than half of the homes have now been rebuilt. Fire has been a defining force in this area, showcasing Mother Nature's endless cycles.

Take garbage and recycling out to the dumpsters upon check out, or any time during your stay. They are located 2 miles from the home on the Foresta Rd., You will see them. Bags provided.
No pets.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please check out by 10:00 a.m., this is important as our house cleaner is very busy and has a busy schedule.
Take out garbage and recycling often and on check out day, dumpsters are located 2 miles from the home on the paved Foresta Road. Save the bears!
Quiet hours are taken seriously. 10 p.m.-8 a.m. are quiet hours. please respect neighbors.

Amazing location!

My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Yosemite. The cabin was small but had everything we needed. Location was really amazing - we were in heart of Yosemite Valley in 30 minutes. Bonus - Foresta Falls hike right outside our door!

House was all you needed. The little dirt road lead down to an awesome mountain river with tons of birds. Further down the road it opened up into a beautiful valley and mountains. So peaceful it was hard to leave.

Great place to stay in the park! Has everything you need in one place. Be sure to read the directions closely and I would recommend arriving in the daylight. It’s about 25-30 minutes to get to the valley so take that into account.

The cabin was great. Needs some work to improve the shower door and overcome some wear and tear. The frig died just before arrival, but the owner brought in a mini-frig to cover. It was a big plus that it is inside the park. Thanks for letting us use it.
