Premier Yosemite/Foresta home with views of Half Dome and El Cap from all rooms!

Rocky Point Guest House is a family owned and operated home located inside Yosemite National Park in the small community of Foresta. We're located inside the park boundary and entrance gates (meaning that you won't have to wait in line to enter the park each day) 7 miles from the Valley Floor. Our home boasts stunning views of Clouds Rest, Half Dome, and El Capitan from nearly every room in the house. While we have rented our property via another site for nearly 20 years with many returning guests, we are new to VRBO.

My husband an I spent our 10 year wedding anniversary here. It was the perfect romantic getaway. Well-stocked, comfortable home had everything we needed. I was especially appreciative of the ample kitchenware and cooking essentials. Gorgeous views of Foresta, El Capitan, and Half Dome. Host was courteous and responsive. Will definitely stay here again. Keep in mind this rental is in a remote area of the park, so be prepared for long drive and some rustic unpaved roads to get here, but personally that's how I like to vacation.

Secluded Dream Home with Postcard Views!We loved everything about Rocky Point. Lynda is a fabulous host from reservation to check-in and check-out and is responsive and helpful in between. Her home is beautifully appointed with eclectic and natural art that showcases the park, including fresh flowers and plants throughout the home. She has equipped the home with everything one could want for cooking, playing games, watching videos, perusing books about the park, or just sitting with feet up to gaze upon the spectacular views of Half dome and El Capitan. The beds are very comfortable and have ceiling fans above them. The AC made a huge difference on hot afternoons after we returned from hiking; yet, cool nights allowed for breezes through open windows and the sounds of crickets and coyotes. The dark night skies are incredible with myriads of stars. Our stay was a much appreciated and comfortable respite nestled in the splendor of Yosemite. Thank you for sharing this special place with us.

Stunning location, with lots of places to enjoy the view from….. including two sets of Adirondack chairs on the grounds, a large deck and plenty of windows from every room! Clean and comfortable home, and a bed that we slept so well in! The kitchen was clean, updated and well stocked. Plenty of hiking right from the house to more views and a waterfall. The location in Yosemite is ideal…. Easy to get to the village or anywhere else your plans take you. I just wish we had more days to do nothing but enjoy the house itself! We will be back someday!

Thanks for pointing out the Adirondack chairs! They were handmade by the former owners of the land where Rocky Point now sits. They milled the locally sourced wood themselves - true 1 inch boards. Our family is forever grateful to that family for entrusting us with this priceless plot of land… and some great Adirondacks.

Stunning views of Half Dome and El Capitan from the living room and deck. Located inside the park in a beautiful setting with nature all around. Birds, wild flowers and Lynda’s garden. The house itself is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Lynda provided wildflowers and many decorative items to make it like home. It is so serene and quiet. I’m a senior citizen and found the house to be very easy to navigate. It’s a perfect location to get to all the highlights of Yosemite easily. I enjoyed just sitting on the deck and relaxing in all the beauty. Lynda was a great and very responsive host. I would love to come again.
