This houseboat was the perfect blend of unique charm and modern comfort, offering a tranquil haven that made our trip unforgettable. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to stay near Amsterdam!
Staying in the houseboat was an excellent experience. The place was very comfortable and we found the location to be perfect. The host provided helpful information for local trams. We would definitely love to stay here again if we travel back to Amsterdam.
Perfect little accommodation to enjoy Amsterdam. Quiet and picturesque with quick access to tram. Everything you need onsite including kitchen. Host was quick to respond to enquiries and very kind. Thank you!
We really enjoyed being on the water. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The public transportation system was very easy to use. It was a great stay!
Amazing experience, so glad we chose thia over a hotel room. Small but ultra-efficient use of space, and we had EVERYTHING we could possibly need. Had a very enjoyable stay, with swans coming to our window every day. Responsive and friendly host.
This was a lovely stay - we arrived and were greeted by swans at the window. It felt like we were part of the community - It was quiet yet close to - public transportation. The place was clean and well equipped - I was traveling with my adult boys and it was great for a first peak at the lovely Amsterdm.

Houseboat Stay
The property we booked online was not the same as this property which was disappointing to our group.
Enough space, location is good - convenient to get to the center by transport, the apartment has everything you need. Good communication with the Host.
We enjoyed our stay on the houseboat. While small, it had everything we needed and was close to tram and bus stops while being away from the touristy areas. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming. Thank you.
The houseboat was the best experience for my family. It was close to transport and groceries. My family thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We even got to sit in the back porch that faced the canal.
Nice, convenient location with places to eat and drink right down the street. Easy access to trams and 20 minutes to museums or the red lights district.
Big window out to the canal! Ducks and swans visited every morning. I definitely recommend this little houseboat.
We had a great stay in this lovely houseboat! It was as described! Peter and Nina were gracious, friendly, and communicative hosts. It was super easy to get around with public transportation, and it was so fun to stay on a house boat! It did seem the description said twin beds in the front room, when in fact it was a pullout couch queen bed, but that was easy enough for us to navigate in our group.
Our stay was wonderful. Nice to get away from the business of the city center and not be too far away. The house boat is a great way to experience Amsterdam with kids. It has everything you need to be comfortable and stores, restaurants are conveniently close. Hostess was responsive and fun to meet! Thank you!!

clean and convenient
We stayed two nights on the houseboat. We did not have euros and they loaned us 20E to catch the tram! It was quiet and close to the tram line.
I stayed here with my family of four, including 2 kids, ages 7 and 10. We loved this houseboat with such a scenic view!! It was such a special place to stay and the kids loved it. It was small but clean, organized and perfect for what we needed and close to the tram. We had a visit from both a swan, herron and duck outside our window in the morning which the kids just loved. It was also just a few blocks from a supermarket, fruit market and lots of restaurants, as well as a playground for the kids. I will say that you could hear the train go by but we were not bothered by it nor did it wake any of us up. I would absolutely stay here again!
Quaint efficiency type apartment room aboard a large houseboat. I must have missed the check-in instructions which made finding the boat initially a bit tricky however the owner was quick to reply when contacted
This was our firdt trip to Amsterdam as a family, and we couldnt have been more pleased with this adorable and perfect property. I was able to easily do laundry from the little we packed, lightly grocery shop for the fridge, and even cooked a light meal easily. It was private yet close enough to catch the tram or bus anywhere, plus there was a few parks close for our children (11 and 6) to play. We had the pleasure of meeting our host, Nina, who was very welcoming and had lovely suggestions for us. She was responsive if we ever had questions and was very accommodating in letting us leave our bags for a couple hours we had between checking out and catching our flight. Would highly recommend and will look to rent again when we return to Amsterdam.
Overall, our choice of a houseboat was memorable, and we'll surely do it again. The view from the Living/Kitchen area was lovely, and we had two friendly ducks come by to say hello each time we opened our curtains. Pros: - Host Nina was super friendly and responsive- Full kitchen, adequate shower and separate toilet. - Convenient tram access (5 min walk)- Efficient use of area except bedroom See below)Cons: - We missed a microwave oven in this unit- The bedroom was tight for a queen bed, and it was difficult for a senior (sleeping next to the wall) to visit the toilet in the middle of the night. It may not be a problem for younger visitors.
Incredible stay in a cute and quiet area (with cats!)
My siblings and I stopped in Amsterdam on the way to Scotland (in order to bring my cats from the U.S.). This houseboat was the perfect situation for us.
It was small, but cozy. Lovely to be on the canal! It was close to town walking and was also close to two main trams.
The host was very accommodating and let us check in a bit early as I had two cats with me. The cats enjoyed the space and watching the ducks and coots through the open windows.
We pulled out the sofa bed and the boys slept there while us girls shared the double bed. There is a train very nearby, but it was comforting to hear it like we were at our grandmother’s. The neighborhood was socially quiet, which was lovely at night.
In addition, there is a very kind vet nearby (Joyce Hofman) who helped me with the cat’s travel papers. Their kindness and helpfulness was amazing!
