Cosy 1 bedroom apartment in a historic canal house in a quiet and very popular residential area on the Amsterdam city island 'Prinseneiland', The island is like an old fashioned village within the center of Amsterdam, and is inhabited by a nice mixture of artists, expats and traditional Amsterdam people, close to the canals and main city’s attractions.

The apartment has a very nice feel with an 'authentic' style, an open, fully equipped kitchen in the living-room, a private bathroom with shower, wireless internet, a TV with international channels and of course a coffee maker.
Everything in this apartment is in great condition!

The neighbourhood is ideal located at about a 10 minutes walking distance from the busy city center with lots of restaurants and shops, The Ann Frank House, the Central Railway Station, the Red Light District, Dam Square and Westerpark and 3 nice markets on Mondays (arts and crafts-), Wednesdays (organic-) and Saturdays (farmers-).
In short, the perfect place to stay when in Amsterdam!

Great place in quiet location

Emmy was a wonderful host providing us with lots of information about locations and things to see. The location is perfect, in a quiet area. Easy walking distance to city centre and attractions. A great apartment well equipped for a stay.

Mouse in the house

This sweet little apartment was in a great location, Emmy was easy to communicate with. Only let down was the fact there was a mouse in the apartment, which ate through a loaf of bread on the kitchen bench. We raised this with the host right away, and she offered to put a mouse trap on the bench, but told us not to contact her the next day as it was her day off! Seeing a mouse run through the small apartment on three occasions was a definite dampener to the trip. Quite disappointed… especially for the price that we paid!

Amsterdam was very crowded with tourists so it was difficult to find your way around with a lack of information and English maps. Emmy was helpful and although I had internet problems this seems to be an isolated issue. Emmy even booked a taxi for us which was appreciated.

Great location although a little isolated

Being located on an island close to the centre has both pluses and minuses. Apartment is well equipped however it is a little dark and the bed fits too tightly between the walls.

Fantastic apartment and incredible location!

We stayed at Emma's lovely apartment in late October. The location is excellent: We walked everywhere from where it is located. Walking also allowed us to enjoy the beauty of Amsterdam and get a sense of everyday life. It was an easy walk to downtown and to the major art museums. Emma provided us with a map and had a diagram of where cafes were, pub, and restaurants. Emma's apartment is located in an area described as "The Island". It is a lovely neighbourhood, very picturesque architecture and surrounded by water. We soon felt like "locals" when the pub owners and cafe staff were disappointed we were not able to come the next day - because we had to return to the "reality " of our lives with work and responsibilities! We thoroughly recommend Emma's apartment. It's well appointed and set up.

Lovely apartment in beautiful location

My wife and i stayed at the apartment for 3 nights. The location is excellent and within reasonable walking distance of most attractions. The apartment is recently renovated and in excellent condition. The bedroom is a bit small, but adequate, and the living area quite large. It is on an extremely quiet small island, but that was a huge plus, and about 5 minutes away from the trendy Jordan area with lovely shops and restaurants. Emmy was a very good host, very responsive and with some good suggestions for places to eat and see. I highly recommend this place.

Perfect apartment for two. Great location. Had everything we needed.

Emmy the owner was fantastic. Met us on arrival and provided us with lots of helpful information. We were able to walk to all the interesting places we wanted to see. Would absolutely recommend this apartment. If you can’t check in immediately, Emmy will store your luggage until apartment is ready for check in.

Wonderful quiet location - easy walk to tram and bus.Bedroom has queen bed and it is quite tight to get in and out of bed.Once we realized that the best way to communicate with host is through Whats App she was very good at returning texts.

Séjour Amsterdam

L’emplacement du flat est bien situé. 1/4 heure de marche pour être dans le vieux centre d’Amsterdam. L’endroit est très calme. Le flat est assez décevant. Peu de lumière extérieure directe, mal éclairé à l’intérieur, quelques bulbes défectueux. Impression désagréable quand l’hôte nous dit qu’on peut avoir des souris si on laisse de la nourriture hors des armoires. La salle de bain est sans chauffage et ressemble plus à du bricolage (porte de la douche non-adaptée), la porte de la garde-robe mal fixée ainsi que le parquet flottant entre la chambre et le hall de nuit. Pas de lumière du jour dans la chambre sauf par une trappe à manipuler avec un crochet au bout d’un bâton….. pour moi le prix demandé est bien trop élevé. De plus, la porte d’entrée du flat doit restée ouverte car pas de serrure … à fixée

Must-stay spot in Amsterdam!

This apartment had everything we needed and is in a quiet, very nice neighborhood. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room is spacious. There is public transportation just a short walk away as well as parks. Emmy is a fantastic host and we had great communication with her before and during our stay. Highly recommend this property!

Great Place to Syay

If you are in Amsterdam, you will not find a better place to stay! Emmy is very easy to communicate with and helpful! Her apartment is extremely clean, roomy and well equipped ! Often you do not meet the owner and she welcomed us to show us around and give us any needed information !
