Getaway from the noise

This cottage is conveniently located with easy access to the beach about a mile away. It’s in a quiet part of the island. The screened in porch and spacious backyard allow great views of the night sky and sounds of nature. Although kitchen supplies are minimal, this is a good place for a couples to get away from the noise.

My husband and I loved this comfortable little cottage. It was well appointed with everything we needed to enjoy our stay near the ocean. We especially enjoyed having our coffee on the screen porch. The hosts were very accessible and acccomadting

The house was exactly like the picture, clean, beautiful and confortable bed! We weren't lucky with the weather since there was a hurricane but the beaches are super beautiful, the water is warm and has nice waves, however we can't get to the beach on foot since there is no direct access!

Replace microwave with a rusty hole in it, replace shower surround with holes in the tub and nasty gunk in the shower tracks. Questionably clean bedding, blood on a comforter, wrinkly sheets. Replace or wash really well the bathroom and bedroom rugs. Evolve communicates very poorly and the directions are bad.

It was ok

It was just ok. We stayed in Duck, here in Frisco, and in Beaufort this week. Frisco house was the most expensive and most disappointing. Not clean, found hair in the towels that did not belong to me or my wife, sheets smelled sour, roaches in the house, and one of only three outlets in the bedroom didn’t work. Shower floor is very slick, shower is tiny and you have to run around to get wet. Very disappointing.

We are very dedicated to providing a clean and comfortable stay for all our guests and we attribute this dedication to the many 5-star reviews we receive. -We are contracted for monthly spraying in our cottages and, as a result, have been very pleased to have no issues with bugs. We understand that this could have been a one-off occurrence and had we known, we would have been more than happy to address this in the moment. -Our linens and towels are thoroughly cleaned between each stay. We always receive positive feedback and compliments on the quality of our mattresses and bedding. -We did find the faulty electrical outlet referred to and have corrected the problem. While we do regret our home was not up to your expectations, we are happy to report that no issues were reported by the guests who stayed the following weekend. We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!"

Wonderful Woodsy Retreat

Great location, close to everything and the owner's daughter met us there for check in. The daughter runs the stable (must bring your own horses) and the parents run the two cabins as well as the Cockeyed Clam Restaurant up the road which we went to and really enjoyed. Be sure to bring bug spray if visiting during the summer, early spring/fall.
