About this property
Lovely, comfortable apartment In Branscombe, Devon close to beach
A lovely, light and airy, ground floor apartment, superbly equipped with everything you need, in a block of 4, situated in the village square, close to the beach and coastal footpath. Sleeps 2- 4 people in comfort.
A perfect place in the centre of the beautiful village of Branscombe for a peaceful and relaxing holiday and an ideal base for exploring this wonderful area of East Devon and the Jurassic Coast.
Due to the challenging circumstances of CV19, the apartment will be thoroughly cleaned between guests and all hard surfaces wiped down. The countryside is excellent for walks with minimal social interaction and the apartment is well equipped for self catering.
The quiet, unspoilt beach is a 5 minute stroll away alongside a stream, with just one thatched roof cafe, with outside seating area, serving delightful home cooked food. Fishing trips are available from the fishing village of Beer, 3 miles away. There is a real ale pub close by, also with an outside eating area.
This lovely Devon holiday accommodation consists of an entrance hall leading to a spacious, tastefully furnished sitting room with separate dining area, seating up to eight people. The kitchen is very well equipped for those of you who like to do your own cooking. The sleeping accommodation consists of a comfortable double bedroom and a second bedroom with bunk beds. There is a bathroom with an electric shower over the bath. We often stay at the apartment ourselves and have made sure that it is thoughtfully furnished with everything you need to make your holiday thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing. It is also very competitively priced in this much sought after holiday area.
Please note in high season bookings are on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday.

About the host
Hosted by Miss Jean Parker

We live in Yorkshire but have a large extended family in Devon and miss being able to be near them, so we have the apartment as a foothold in Devon. We let it out when we are not visiting and like to keep it nice and welcoming for our visitors..
Why they chose this property
We stayed here for a holiday and liked it so much we inquired about whether it might be for sale and it was! We bought it the same day as the famous wrecking of the Napoli off the coast nearby in the winter of 2007. Not a good start at the time!
What makes this property unique
Such a beautiful area and very unspoilt. Reviews from our guests often talk about finding a 'hidden jewel' in Devon. We never tire of the fantastic and varied walks around the village and over the cliffs on the coastal footpath. The views are stunning and we always manage to find new walks we have never been on before.
