About this property

Bungalow 202 - An historic, renovated home

Get away to the beautiful Texas Hill Country and enjoy a relaxing stay at the newly renovated Bungalow 202!
This 1940’s farmhouse has original shiplap, bead board, and 12 foot ceilings that add to the charm. Lots of love and attention went into the renovation of this house. During your stay we hope you enjoy the historical allure as well as the modern comforts of the home.

The house has three generous bedrooms and a large living room to relax and unwind. The house has Wifi, a 40 inch TV with Cable service (Spectrum), and a large farmhouse table with ample space for scrapbooking, playing board games, or enjoying a nice meal together. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils, plates, dishes, toaster, glassware, etc. For your convenience we also provide a coffee/tea bar with everything you would need to make an excellent cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa. Enjoy your coffee on the front porch or in the backyard on the private deck.

Bungalow 202 is located just a short walk (0.4 miles) to the charming historic main street where you will find casual and fine dining, craft beer, wine bars, outdoor beer garden with live music on the weekends, local spas, ice cream and cupcake shops, and fantastic bakeries. Art galleries, antique shops, and a variety of quaint boutiques that are among the best in the hill country line the historic main street.

The old depot walking trail is right across the street for a great brisk walk in the morning. Another close by walking trail takes you along the river where you can enjoy ducks, geese, and beautiful surroundings.

While staying in Boerne you can enjoy many of the surrounding areas just a short drive away. Cave Without a Name, Cascade Caverns, Boerne Lake, Lukenbach, Comfort, Fredericksburg, Bandera, Fiesta Texas, Sea World, and the San Antonio Riverwalk can provide a nice day trip.

We also own the The Inn at 701 which is a BnB right away the corner should you have needs for two nearby houses.

Wonderful stay
We stayed for 3 nights with our 3 adult children and had other family visit for a day. The home was perfect for this. Spacious, charming old home. Easy access to downtown Boerne. Terrific neighborhood to walk in. Plentiful towels, pillows, throws. Lovely kitchen with appropriate accoutrements. Just a terrific place to stay for a few days.

Family Celebration in Boerne
This property was as advertised. Cozy, comfortable, spacious, very clean, well-appointed with everything you would need, close to Main Street - many shops and restaurants. Six family members stayed for the weekend, including two children. The house was a big hit for the whole group! Would definitely recommend it and we'd be happy to stay here again.

Host profile image
We have lived in many places and have had the opportunity to travel across the country and many places overseas. A career in the US Navy helped facilitate this. Greg and his do it yourself skills in just about anything and Jordis being very talented with her decorating skills have transformed this cottage into a one of a kind place that has kept its historic charm but with all the modern conveniences.

Why they chose this property

Very comfortable, roomy, and cozy place less than 1/2 mile from historic Main street in Boerne, TX. Full coffee bar to include tea and hot chocolate awaits you. A great walking/jogging trail is right across the street. River road park is just down the street to walk along the river, feed the ducks, or wet a line in the river.

What makes this property unique

We have another renovated historic home just around the corner (The Inn at 701). So if you have a large party and would like two homes close together, this is your place!
