Congrats, you're looking at the perfect wedding venue!

What can I say!? This venue is absolutely spectacular and Marti and her team are such a joy to work with. The retreat is stunning whether it is gloomy and rainy out or a beautiful sunny day. So many of our wedding guests were just gushing about how beautiful the entire retreat was. We opted to rent the entire property and it was perfect to house our families, bridal party and guests for the entire weekend. This is well worth it for your dream wedding site!

The cabin was beyond stocked!

We were not here for a wedding just over the New Year’s Eve holiday, I have stayed at many many places but none of them had things stocked the way they did, top-of-the-line kitchen appliances enough pots and pans and plates, plenty of towels we wanted for nothing at this property! The pipe burst and within five minutes of our call maintenance came and had it fixed within the hour. This place had the most relaxed vibe and we just had a chance to enjoy each other! We saw deer and other wildlife on the property, and the town of Julian was so charming. Highly recommend!

Sacred Mountain-A Magical Place

Sacred Mountain is magical. My daughter and son-in-law had their fairytale wedding on Saturday October 21, 2017, surrounded by family, friends and the breathtaking beauty of Sacred Mountain. From our first visit with Marti in December, we knew instantly this was a very special place. Marti could not have been more accommodating, and both Marti and her assistant Melanie were a dream team to work with. The accommodations, from the Old Rustic Barn to the Main Cottage to the Carriage House, were homey and spacious. The grounds were spectacular with so many beautiful places to discover and enjoy. From the Secret Garden, to the Sunset Plateau to the wooden deck outside the Main Cottage, the views of Volcan Mountain, the Valley of the Moon and the stars at night were awe inspiring. This truly is a magical place for a special event or just a family retreat.

Best weekend of our lives

Sacred Mountain Retreat made our wedding dreams come true!! It is a fairy tale setting- between the secret garden, ivy laced pool, restored barn, plateau over looking the mountains, and dreamy market lights hovering over the reception. You get to escape to a beautiful mountain retreat, what could be better?! The staff at Sacred Mountain is superb. Marti, the owner is wonderful, responsive and makes you feel so comfortable from the moment you meet her. Melanie and Megan, who handle the administrative side are organized, responsive and courteous. They keep you on top of your paperwork but are willing to answer any question by phone or email. Wedding planning is stressful and hard but they put you at ease with how quickly they respond and how clearly they answer your questions. I had a wonderful experience working with all 3 of these ladies. Once we arrived to Sacred Mountain, Danny who lives on property, was super helpful! We needed to remove some of the furniture in the reception lounge and he quickly retrieved the items. The amenities and houses are pristine. Many of our guests are still talking about how nice the accommodations were and how dreamy the pool setting was. We loved utilizing the property. Our wedding was in the summer so our guests were often at the pool or the play house for my nieces and nephews. We had 28 adults and 5 children under 6 who stayed in the four houses on the property. It fit everyone very comfortably and everyone had everything they could need. We also had our rehearsal dinner on property (Shout out to Jeremy's on the Hill) which allowed us more time to enjoy this beautiful place. If you are looking for a wedding experience, instead of just a wedding day, I couldn't recommend Sacred Mountain more!! We were lucky enough to have the property on Thursday before our Saturday wedding. I would highly recommend you to do this, as it allowed us ample amount of time for setting up the ceremony and reception area which let us relax and enjoy the evening before our wedding and our wedding day! We are only a few weeks out from our wedding day and I wish we could relive it over and over. It was the perfect mountain setting to join our lives together with our closest friends family. Sacred Mountain allowed us and our people an opportunity to spend quality time with one another which was very important and special to us. We will always cherish the memories made here!!!

Amazing wedding venue!

Sacred Mountain is such an amazing place. I had my wedding here in March and it was breathtaking! Marti and her staff went above and beyond to make the process so smooth and easy for me. They followed up all the time to make sure we were taken care of and my wedding day was flawless. The property is stunning and the views are unbelievable! It's a place we will always come back to and have such fond memories. If you don't book here you are missing out!

Wonderful Christmas Weekend with a Great Owner!

We had to cancel a Christmas trip to Hawaii and were scrambling for another location. We chose Julian and the owner indicated this property might work for us. She was not sure if it would fit our needs. She suggested I come visit. On a Sunday afternoon, I drove up to Julian. It was a beautiful day and indeed, this is amazing property. There is a flat meadow for playing sports with lovely chairs, and several different outdoor areas for play. My eight year son was ecstatic at the idea of staying here. Fast forward to Christmas, and a snowstorm was headed to Julian at the exact time we were traveling up there. I contacted the owner and asked that we be allowed to come a night early. She made the change for us, no problem. We arrived to find a beautiful winter cabin with firewood, and candles lit through out the living room. Very inviting. The kitchen is small, but has brand new high quality appliances like the VIking stove. The whole cabin/house is very clean. There are two robes in every room. The temperature dropped outside and we had a bit of trouble with the heater. Although it was Christmas weekend, the owner made every attempt to resolve the heating issues. She had someone come out the first night to look at it, and then had a specialist there the next day. She was in constant communication with us. The temperature eventually dropped to 25 degrees outside with 35 mph winds. Even the extra space heaters she purchased just for us and the extra firewood had a hard time heating the place. However, when we woke up the next morning, the property was covered in snow and it was AMAZING. The owner had left sleds for my kids to play and then it was Winter Wonderland for the rest of the weekend. The owner tried hard to resolve the wind/heating issues. It was clear that she cared about our stay and our comfort. Eventually, we were able to re-negotiate the rental value due to a couple of the issues that came up. The owner and her staff worked hard to resolve everything to our satisfaction. I would definitely stay there again, and I would definitely consider any of her properties for a wedding or corporate retreat. She has a lovely style. It is also very close to town and easy to walk into Julian.

Outstanding mountain property!

We had a delightful stay at the Sacred Mountain Ranch. It is a beautiful well-maintained property in the very special town of Julian. The owner Marti is a pleasure to work with and she ensured we had everything needed for our Thanksgiving getaway. Luis, the caretaker, was very nice and the few times we needed something, was quite helpful. Highly recommended!!!

magical wedding weekend

what else can I say...well maybe a few words. Our wedding weekend was amazing. this venue....mind blowing. many of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to. I cant take all the credit. this Julian property stole the show!! so fun to rent the whole mountain and make it a retreat weekend. And Marti is very sweet and has a big heart. And she has an Assistant (Melanie, who is awesome) who helps a lot with coordination. They offer alot which really helps with the logistics (tables,linens, chairs, lots of random items we wee able to use like lanterns, candles, platters). The rental for this house is substantial. I wish the cost per night was adjusted for Friday night (since we only had the wedding there on Saturday). but. the homes are beautiful and it was so fun to stay the weekend. !! I plan to go back to the sister home (retreat,)for, well , any excuse i can find :) My heart is at scared mountain. I married my best friend there..... and it is a magical and gorgeous place.
